The Flood / Re: Fuck Sony and Fuck Paramount
« on: December 18, 2014, 07:40:47 PM »
Because of The Interview?

Sony because of the interview

Paramount because they blocked Team America from being shown in the interviews place.

Really? Wow. That's just pathetic. Kudos to whoever had the sense of humour to suggest Team America though.

I don't know what that means, but okay.

A while back when there was a nice spate of shitposting I was either locking or leaving threads off a glance of 'how shit is this thread?'

If it was halal it got this picture and was left alone

If it was haram it got this picture and was locked

UN occupation troops

Quote
The U.S. has had a hand in taking down these Black lives. In the three years since Martelly was imposed, the U.S. has underwritten his unaccountable "security" forces to the tune of $73 million, courtesy of our tax dollars.

Quote
Likewise, UN troops - globo-cops - have assassinated, raped, arbitrarily arrested, and committed other human rights violations during their ten-year occupation of Haiti.

Quote
Haitian and UN forces are Daniel Panteleo, the NYPD officer who strangled Eric Garner to death as he placidly vended cigarettes on a sidewalk. They are Darren Wilson, the St. Louis cop who shot the unarmed teenager Michael Brown seven or eight times. These badge-wearers, and so many more like them, stand above the law.

Even by Huffington Post's lack of standards, this is a pretty abysmal article.

The point has been raised ITT that the old flood used to combine the three main forums here. Instead they are all filtered to allow for better discussion on the topics of serious/gaming. So the flood does suffer somewhat because that's where the shitposting is allowed but I don't think it's quite as awful as people are making it out to be.

The problem is more to do with really shit shitposts, ones that aren't amusing and are just simply -shit-. If people want me to bring back the halal/haram litmus test for shitposts then sure, I don't mind.

Eugh, greaaat.

Quite how they can pull a story out of their ass about minecraft will be amusing to watch though.
It's not a story about Minecraft. It's a story set in Minecraft.

Hmm, alright well I suppose that's doable then <.<

I can see how money earned in research fields pay off on a bigger scale more than say finance, but I'd be sceptical that it actually drains 60 cents per dollar earned <_<

the only rule is no mods allowed

And who will enforce it? : )
Me.
My Dad's friend's uncle who knows this guy's brother who's best friend is the cousin twice removed of a member of Lizard Squad. I'll get them to hack you if you don't follow this rule.

I really wish I'd been able to play it when it released, because it's aged so horrifically badly that it's unplayable for me.

I'm really not one to get snitty over 'muh graphics' but god damn it's like the potato scrolls ._____.
It's that awful awkward period where games were moving into more modern style graphics from the old polygon blobs which were fine. Idek, it's just too hideous to actually play :/

Oh man. I remember the shitstorm that DB created when they posted an article about the 2012[?] election and how a ton of over-seas military ballots weren't counted. It was hilarious.

Holy shit the cringe. It's called prison, not jail. Jail is where you serve a less than 1 year sentence or wait for trial

I don't think the average person really cares about the distinction, considering how the two words are essentially interchangeable in the english language now.

I can play the piano, trouble is I'm too shy to actually play it if there are any other humans in the building so I never practise aaaand it just kind of sits there and I sit here <.<

I learned to play it without the sheet music, but then I briefly studied that and picked it up reasonably quickly. Still for naught though, what with the whole... not being able to play infront of people. Lol.
Really? I have been learning without sheet music as well, I've been using tabs to learn instead of sheet music. Most likely once I know how to play well, I'll learn music sheets.
Yup, taught myself by ear to start with and then we had piano lessons after school (my brothers and I). After things went to shit, that stopped and it was just a 'teach yourself or don't ' kind of attitude.

But yeah, learning music notes after learning moonrunes was a walk in the park ._.

My sides

I was walking around this place in grorious nippon and something seemed off about the big chinese lanterns they have everywhere.

I took a closer look and they are all plastered with tiny swastikas.

Japs confirmed for neo-nazis.
It was a sign used to represent some monks if I recall but you know 'muricans think hitlerd are the og of the round windmill
Ye it does >.>

And they do indeed, many people just see the swastika as being the nazi's thang. I mean, it's not like they didn't tarnish it beyond belief with what they did, and I would highly doubt anyone using it in it's original context in day to day speech (online obviously)
