Because there's some combinations of sounds that the human ear finds pleasing. I'm sure there is some deeper explanation, but that isn't something I studied. Yeah, and I'm asking why we find them pleasing. I don't think there IS an answer for that, really.
I think there is, but not one that I know. Hell we might not actually know yet (as a species that is) but I would wager it is to do with certain wavelengths of sound registering with different parts of the brain's circuitry. I don't really study music psychology/neurology at all, but I do recall reading something about the sound frequency around 17Hz that causes feelings of fear to appear. Now I think that this is to do with an evolutionary adaptation to the sounds predators make but that could be wrong >.> So it stands to reason that if you have a frequency that causes fear, there are frequencies that can induce other emotions too <.<

she would let me drink 44oz sodas with my large meals, with refills >_>
Looking back it was very sickning.
Ontop of eating out several times a week she also bought soda for home as well. I'm surprised I wasn't obese by 12. I guess my poor luck helped keep the pounds off though.

Water tastes fine, if you corrupt your tastebuds with sugar all day then of course water will taste bad. If ya still don't like water, then tea will do. That's good for you, provided you don't ram it with sugar as well.
Green Tea, Fruit Tea, Herbal Tea, Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey, Assam, Chai... so many delicious flavours to choose from, and yet you choose... sugary.
I typically drink two bottles of water every time I'm at the gym, but it's just bland. I enjoy flavor and water doesn't give it
Water does have a flavour, it's just a lot more subtle. Drink tapwater from your house, then from another location (Say another state or on the other side of it) and then spring water etc. They all have different tastes, very subtle ones but it's not bland imo.
