The best option is obviously the lax system as it would result in more staff sideshows that erupt due to conflicting opinions.
Can you just not be a vulture to drama for once? Seriously.

But whatever we do do - there won't be happiness. If we become more strict, we are becoming Waypoint. If we become more lax, we apparently don't care about the forums.
You're putting words in my mouth. At no point did I say there needs to be a change in the strictness or the laxness of the punishments, themselves.
Not you exclusively Meta. We already have your suggestions.
I know you do.
Although that actually highlights the underlying point I'm making here; it's about a communicative deficiency. I PM'd those suggestions to Isara and Mr P. and have heard nothing since this thread - no acknowledgement that they were being discussed or if anything was going to move forward. On some level is promoted a feeling of "why bother", but the more pressing issue was the fact that it gives the impression of an inefficient system into which ideas and suggestions are placed and nothing is done.
The fact that you're discussing them is good, of course, whether you like them or not but it isn't enough to fix the deficit in transparency and understanding between the moderation team and the community.
I've made my point by now, though, so I'll just leave it here unless you have any questions. I do have confidence that the moderation team is working in the right direction, it's just difficult to tell how effective such efforts are at the moment.
I have to say, it was discussed but nothing concrete has come about because of the timing >.> It's christmas eve already and I've been busy as I've ever been with IRL shit ._. Looks like there are some things being done though >.>

And yeah, it's one of those things where the most anyone on the street is ever likely to be packing is either a boxcutter or their carkeys. Knives are fairly common mind you, but you can walk away from a knife fight a lot more easily than you can from a gunfight >.>
I'm more afraid of knives than I am of guns. ._.
Oh >.> Well I'd say that a chav with a pig sticker is a slightly less hazardous than a chav with a firearm. You can either run like buggery and you won't get shot in the back, or you have a decent chance at disarming them (If you know how that is) <.<

Hokai, I'll clear a few things up.
Of course the US isn't being turned into britain, what Farage was outlining in that interview was turning the UK into the USA. Me no likey.
Firearms were never totally banned, we still have shotguns and rifles etc for sporting/farmers. What we don't have are handguns, you know, the firearm with which the most crimes are committed per capita. What I don't want to see is the sudden reintroduction of handguns to the UK when it's pretty unnecessary to do so.
I was referring to radical Islam's encroachment on the British Isles. As for handguns, I guess it's a cultural thing. If I wasn't allowed to keep a Glock in my glove box while driving downtown at 2:00 a.m. I'd feel significantly less safe.
Ah right, yeah something does need to be done about it. It just has to be done thoughtfully so it doesn't inadvertently make the problem worse and radicalise people who otherwise wouldn't give a shit. UKIP are shit, Nigel might be a charismatic soul but his party is just bad news .______.
Brb turning the UK into the USAyy lmao.
Reintroduce firearms (Handguns) AND remove the NHS! Yaaaa no thanks, I like living in a first world country.
Last I checked, the US isn't being turned into Britonistan.
And if reintroducing firearms is a problem then the UK isn't any better off than it is when guns were banned, at least not from a societal standpoint.
