Something like telling you what clothes you have to wear though, that's not so reasonable. Assuming your jacket didn't have either swastikas on the sleeves, lewd drawings on the back or said something rude then yeah that's pretty bad of them.
You can talk to them about it, approach them maturely and ask them. Don't shout/demand/expect to actually get anywhere, but if you at least show flexibility/reasonable behaviour then reasonable parents would be more inclined to give you some leeway.
If however, you are unfortunate enough to be lumped with totalitarians, then my advice would be to put up with it and get self sufficient as soon as possible. Probably the worst thing to do would be to go to war with them over somewhat trivial matters in the grand scale of things <.<

If he'd kept his head, but been still been taken down with some sort of outsmarting plotline then that would have been much more satisfactory than him just going UUUUUUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

He basically did take over the world, with all the world leaders stepping down for what he told them, and the people rooting for him.
The ending did have an outsmarting plot line.

Pretentious? It's just that I'd think that a medical doctor would be content if the main character died due to the damages that he'd received, rather than for no reason other than the plot surviving. A different ending? No, because it all lead down to that "fight".
Hmm, fair enough. Still not really good enough to satisfy me though, but then I was expected something just an inch short of apotheosis if not that.
Maybe you'd have gotten it if you'd watched it all, but that's an untestable theory by now, I'd say.

It's certainly possible, I think I might see if I can rewatch it. It's been long enough that I've forgotten a bit too much of it so yeah. One thing that I hope arises from all these newer AI films, is that people might eventually treat them with the respect they deserve when they are created. Literally the only reason the 'Man plays god' story goes awry is because of meatbags being dicks and the creator turning on the creation.
But, then if meatbags are still too imperfect to learn the equality or superiority of AI then I'd be quite happy with leaving behind a race of sentient machines as a more durable and permanent legacy than just a dried up husk of a planet and overpopulated hives of people everywhere.

FYI, don't listen to these suggestions Boku no Pico SAO AOT Naruto Fairy Tail FMA original Cross Ange and there are a couple of others too. Some are alright, like Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. Some are pretty crap, but look pretty like Sword Art Online. Cross Ange is just haram, do not watch/do not look up. Same goes for Boku no Pico. The others I've never watched myself but it's the typical drawn out, never ending going nowhere story that's made to milk the fanbase IIRC. Or just plain shit.

Death Note is also worth a watch, but as the other thread makes clear the ending is pretty garbage and it's episode 25 that it starts to decline IIRC.
