I used to get hit when I was younger but my parents just kicked me out when I'd act up in my teens.
That's kinda fucked up.

Very occasional spanking.

Grounding which consisted of taking away my vidya. So basically I learned if I wanted things I had to do what was asked of me, oh and being a smartass got you in shit.

Lol. PUBG was a huge waste of money. It's not even a finished product yet it still has that $80 price tag. And since when does being disatisfied with a product you spent money on make you either a little bitch or a retarded worker? Obviously money means a lot more to me than it does to you, and I'm not about to apologise for that.

I'm not even that dissatisfied with PUBG, I just think Fortnite is a much better game and the fact that I didn't have to pay for it when I forked over $80 to play PUBG is pretty funny.

idk why you think you're some L-tier psychoanalyser but you need to cut that shit out.
Fortnite is a very goofy and luck based game and is far more casual than pubg. I'm not really knocking the game entirely or anyone who plays it but it should be recognized for what it is. If people have fun playing it, awesome. That's all that really matters.

As for it not being a finished product, what exactly do you mean? Bluehole tweaking balance and adding content doesn't mean it's an unfinished game. The servers have been pretty stable for several months.

Also $80? What the heck

PUBG was $80 canadian when I bought it.
Holy shit how will Cucknadians ever recover?

why would you ever go first person in a game that lets you go third
If the match permits you to go 3rd or 1st obviously you go 3rd because you can abuse the camera.

But 1st person only matches (which is what I was talking about) add to the intensity which is a thrill when you get that winner winner.

there are only two reasons people seem to hate fortnite

bullet spread is too random and the playerbase has more children

neither of which are valid reasons to dismiss the game entirely
3rd person

I can't take a game that's only 3rd person with random bullet spread seriously and consider it competitive.
1st person only matches in PUBG are video game kino.

So you did read what I said when I say the game doesnt do that right?

It does. I've seen it. This is not up for debate.

Quote
If you played the game youd see that the story does service the gameplay, as the gameplay never stops to tell a story it all happens at the same time.

You don't even know what "service" means. Yes, the game does stop to tell a story, but that's not even what I'm talking about.

But really. Combo throwing the axe and returning it and flinging it straight back like an OP Thor is a pretty fucking fun experience.

It's akin to dangling keys in front of an infant. There's no substance there.

Evidently he has not gotten far into the video since Britt talks about how shallow the combat is
How is it shallow?

While the old ones were fast based hack and slash, which really seem like his jam. Cool he wasnts that, it isnt here, you want a story with some moderately fast melee combat here you go. But he seems to want more of the old and less of something new.

He's not at all averse to non fast paced games at all. What he does not like are overly cinematic games. Case and point: Metroid. He loves Prime which is as slow paced a shooter as you'll ever find but he hates Other M despite it being a fast paced hack and slash inspired game for being overly cinematic and having the most shallow combat imaginable.
But Im not finding that in my experience, its cinematic sure, but I never feel like Im watching a movie and being taken out of the game, and it doesnt have anywhere near as much slow walking as The Last of Us.

But I guess a games enjoyment is subjective based on interests . Which he being the example doesnt like the storytelling experience some games offer.

Because making story telling the primary focus in an interactive medium in an attempt to legitimise said medium is the most counter-intuitive and, at the risk of sounding grandiose, disrespectful approach to game making there could possibly be. The story should only ever service the gameplay, NOT the other way around. Kratos walks around slowly to let you know "Hey, this is an emotional moment you brain-dead ape, don't walk too fast now!" You have these context-sensitive button presses that wrestle control away from the player to show off the animators hard work and sell the "Wow, so cool, it's just like Hollywood" effect, and JUMPING is one of them.

These devs are just so soulless and insecure about video games, man. It's super sad to see.
So you did read what I said when I say the game doesnt do that right?

Theres one section where youre carrying a pig and the game slows down....thats it, and its because youre carrying dying Pumba.

If you played the game youd see that the story does service the gameplay, as the gameplay never stops to tell a story it all happens at the same time. Although my one gripe...which I am probably contradicting myself is the climbing....there's only painted sections where you can climb, like sure youre climbing a mountain so thats expected and there is banter on the way but you just point in a direction and he climbs, but they are only short periods and the game doesnt just make you slow to a walk cause 'world building'

But really. Combo throwing the axe and returning it and flinging it straight back like an OP Thor is a pretty fucking fun experience.

Also have you considered trying Bloodborne?
needs to finish dark souls first
I feel like you might enjoy Bloodborne more based on its setting plus the gameplay is a bit more fast paced. But get on it lad.
