Playing Crisis Core first completely ruins the arch of Cloud and Tifa, which plays a massive role into the 2nd and 3rd disk.
No don't play it first.
Hmmmmm okay, play FF7 firsrt, then CC, then FF7 again, thats what I'm doing now. It just makes so much more sense to some comments. But I guess it does also spoil things yes. Spoiler But if you played CC first, you still ask the question, what happened to Cloud to rethink things the way it did. Though doing it in the other order brings a type of closure to some things. Makes you feel a lot more sad toward some characters.

iirc tbh fam, FF7 is a fantastic game. Graphically it doesn't hold up in today's world obviously, but it was still one of the top FF games. Overrated, yes for sure, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun. The story and characters were insanely noteworthy.

If you have it on PC I can help you with a mod or two that will make it look better, but still fit the art style of the game (so that means no advent children mod), along with a music mod if you'd like.
Otherwise you're better just waiting for the remake
I'm playing the PS4 rehash and it's pretty good tbh.

If you happen to have a PSP play Crisis Core first.....it makes the experience so more unveiling. Also I'm playing through it again myself, I played it last when I was 8, the game had a lot more humour then I remembered, and a lot more depth.

I've also heard shit for 7 but I've also heard praise, so...
8 9 and 10 were pretty damn good, youd think this if you actually played them. And 13 isnt all that bad, doesnt have the freedom but the story is good and Im still fascinated on the cinematic take on combat.
