What is that you ask?  This thing right here, gotta be based off the remake, gotta stay up to date with this you know, didn't like the old Crisis Core/Advent Children Design Anyway, why is this in Flood? Well I want to know if this will work, now how do you holster an 185cm Sword on your back? Well, fuck making a sheath, cause then you can't see it....so why not....magnets? Every game ever always has the weapon just sitting there on the characters back, and dammit they must be using magnets. Now any old magnet you ask? No, Rare Earth Neodymium magnets will do the trick, they're like the ant of the magnet world, small but can hold about 10x their weight. Now to all the materials I have, I've estimated the sword in total will weight about 8kg, so I've bought 8 magnets, 4 for the blade and 4 for which ever I use to hang it on. Each magnet can hold 4.3kg respectively. So 4.3 x 4 = 17.2 which one would assume is more then enough to hold. But I need to put something inbetween these magnets, from what I've seen, they're very brittle when colliding with one another. So what will the blade attach to? I'm crafting together a leather belt where I will slide the 4 magnets in small sockets, so they arent exposed. On the blade I will cut out circular indents in the wood (yes it's wood, but trust me, it won't look it) glue the magnets in with industrial grade liquid nails and then cover with a thin layer of plywood. Now this is the plan so far, do any of you have knowledge of these magnets enough to know if the plywood and leather would expel enough of the magnetic force to render the magnets useless? If so what should I do, or am I on the right path?

So, Verbs: Dark Souls thread brought up something interesting which I haven't exactly thought about before in gaming, consent. Do you permit such a thing in gaming to happen, without your knowledge or allowance prior to it happening, how does it effect you? And why is it a good, and/or bad thing.
Verbs example, of course was Dark Souls, where players can invade someone else's world, hunt them down, and kill them. The victim does not know prior to this when the perpetrator will arrive, they just know that it 'can' happen, possibly resulting in their death and getting sent back to a bonfire, where they will need to progress again, and more carefully to reclaim the souls that they had lost. Now, where I stand with this is, personally it is not a problem. You know that it can happen, generally the first time is a shock to the system, but Dark Souls does that a bit in general. So you know it can happen, but you continue to play, you just dont know when.
Hence to the case, if you allow yourself to play this game online then you consent to the possibility of your world getting invaded. This works very similar to most RPGs and random encounters, its much the same way but much less dynamic. You know you can, and probably will find yourself in a random encounter, you just don't know when.
This is about as far as it goes with gaming for the time being. If someone manages to hack into your system and manipulate how you play, possibly by halting your ability to play at all, then that is yes, a breach of consent, but this goes out of gaming and into personal security and privacy as a lot more then your gaming information can be accessed. But if a game allows a similar feature to be applied within the gameplay, and the player understands completely that it can happen, then consent is given due to the players choice in firing up the game and playing with that risk, and in some cases being the perpetrator themselves.
Now, when will this step to a higher level? VR.
Will this be something we're currently capable of, no. But I fear the world of full-dive VR (which would be complete immersion, having the technology to escape our bodies and enter a true virtual world) will be a grim, and dark place. Much like the real world. As I feel this is when gaming's consensual issues will rise, and possibly go into the hands of law, depending on how much a game can allow.
I'll be brief and just say it. Rape.
When will gaming advance to the stage where that could potentially be possible? (they would have to make genitals, if the tech is possible, if not....it may cause a lot of trauma to the brain, so you'd need to make sure everything is there)
Full Dive VR, would first of all, be limited to a certain age barrier, any lower then 18 would create a lot of ethics issues. Paedophilia would be carried out and possibly carry over to reality. Statements would have to be signed by every user, so they cannot sue the developer, mainly for things over users would do. This already happens but in a much more tame way 'Gaming Experience may change online' along those lines.
But till then, those problems will need to be tackled, but for now...we have not reached that level, and maybe thats a good thing. What are your thoughts, friends?

One thing concerns me the most. If the player puts in enough effort in a certain quest well.......it was easy back then, but now we have lifelike visuals.
How are they going to make Cloud look like a girl? Like, straight out that convincing that a mob boss would pick him over two other actual females. Back then you could put a dress over the horribly blocky figure and just assume he got the picture.....but now they need to completely make it look that convincing that he would be one of Loaf's traps! (mainly, even though we all expect it, it may hurt his image.....even though it's already kinda been hurt....but you know...more visualised)
This worries me...and I think it'd worried anyone for years at even the thought of a remake. But I guess at least, if it spurs controversy, we can just say that it happened 20 years ago, and people were pretty fine with that.
Hell while we're at it, How awesome will Chocobo racing be now? I need some of that.

Only tiny spoilers if you don't want to know how slowly or quickly you end up doing things. So anyway here it is, a big ol dump of screens that I took on my short time so far in the Commonwealth. Ah, one more thing, if you're a PC gamer and which to do some photography, use the console command ' Key then the following tm = Removes HUD tfc = Toggle Free Camera, if you activate this in 3rd person, your character is left where they stand tfc 1 = same as the above, yet freezes time Make sure you type them in again to disable them. So as most of you know I work in retail, for Australia Post, so I generally run in to some interesting people, some customers are friendly yadda yadda. This old guy, around 60's-70's has come in a few times, banter was passed over transactions, nothing new....today.....at the end of the transaction....the man grabs a piece of paper, and writes his name, number and address on there, and hands it to me. He says: "You seem like a very nice person, and I'd like to get to know you better, call that number and we might organise something and I'll take you out for dinner" So yeah, didnt really know how to respond, told him "we'll see about that" and sent him off....I should have told him he has the wrong idea....but I was shocked.....the next customer asked me if I was alright, and I really don't know, went and threw up after that.....so that ever happened to you guys? Like I guess he is allowed to, it's not like I'm underaged, and if it was a girl I'd be flattered, I'd throw the number away of course, it's just.....in my head, it's disgusting. Spoke to the boss and a few workmates about it, told me to disregard it, and that its.....well fucking creepy. But I just feel sick...

Alrighty, so I'm going back to New Vegas one more time, but never fully went all out on it, well in the years I've become more adept in the art of modding, and thus, it is done, my masterpiece.
