The Flood / Let me tell you a story« on: February 04, 2015, 11:50:10 PM »
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?” The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.” The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.” The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.” The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.” “Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.” The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?” The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.” Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.” To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above." tl;dr atheist a shit 155

We have discovered that most of our immune system resides in our gut. Studies are now linking autism to immune system problems that are linked to the gut. Autistic children are also notorious for having severe allergies and digestive issues. Apparently autism also has a genetic component. Unfortunately autism is not often discovered in a child until after they have received several of the over 50 vaccines on the vaccine schedule. By then it may be too late for them. I appreciate that you pro vaccination people are willing, for the sake of the herd, to expose your child to the risk of one of these "rare" or "tragic" occurrences. It is quite altruistic of you to be willing to have your child damaged or killed by vaccines for the rest of us. Because we are a nation of laws and we have worked so hard to make our country safe from these terrible diseases, perhaps we should consider having our leaders obey these laws and close our borders to unrestricted access by persons who have not been adequately vetted for medical issues or criminal issues. There are many who have met your social criteria and vaccinated themselves and their child. They have also paid the ultimate price for that decision, which you often imply is an acceptable sacrifice for yourself. You might not be aware that the pertussis and measle vaccines have also been proven to be ineffective in many cases. People who have been vaccinated are still getting sick, and inadvertently exposing others. Your pertussis may have come from a vaccinated person. People who have been recently vaccinated with the measles virus may shed the virus for several days afterwards and should quarantine themselves. The thing that I find monumentally stupid is when people state with complete confidence that vaccines are perfectly safe and that no one has been harmed by them. Apparently they have not read the informed consent forms that they are given before they vaccinate their children, which I would say is the very LEAST they should do. Perhaps they are too busy. I also find it strange that people use the analogy of "herd immunity", or protecting the herd at all. As everyone who works with livestock knows herd immunity is usually protected by culling animals that are sick or defective so that they cannot reproduce and damage the integrity of the herd. Humanity found these actions appalling, horrific, immoral and evil when Hitler culled the "herd" in Germany, and other European countries. I will have to state that I think this issue is obviously more complicated and difficult than you people think it is.

The Flood / Re: Suicide rates by country -- the winner isn't what you'd think« on: February 04, 2015, 10:16:31 AM »The entire middle east. Are they, though? What places were not awful 50 years ago, but are now? It's pretty untruthful to say "the world" is an awful place. There's a very, very good number of places that are not awful. The places that are not awful far outweigh the places that are.I mean, the fact that killing yourself is even in the top 10 ways people are killed is still pretty disheartening.Meanwhile... isn't suicide the leading cause of early death in America? Africa. Also, much of Africa experienced apartheid, and while I'm not saying apartheid is justified, the caucasians had things wrapped down better than its current leaders. 175
