Portal. Using one of those in public would make you look like a sperglord, though.
If I saw someone using that Portal one in public I would go and knock them out.

In terms of Southampton, you need to get a definite statement in terms of being able to drop grades, and what exactly is the lowest you can get with them.
Not sure, they've apparently had a history of letting people in with lower grades. Also I asked them about it on the applicant day and they said because I do four subjects there will be some leniency, and that a few put them as an insurance because of that. Still quite a risky decision though.
I imagine it will be AAB if they are giving you liniency, which is the same a Kings. The only time where they wouldn't allow liniency is if the course is fully/over booked. In which case you'd need the AAA.
Do you think the course will be overbooked?

int(sec^2(4x+1)).dx
u=4x+1
du/dx=4
dx=du*(1/4)

int(sec^2(u)).du*(1/4)
=(1/4)*int(sec^2(u)).du

=(1/4)*(tan(u))+c
=(1/4)*tan(4x+1)+c

The integral of sec^2(u) is tan(u).

Dear Santa,
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Faithfully yours,
Simseo.

The Flood / Re: How does one Calculus?
« on: December 04, 2014, 01:19:45 PM »
That could help because I was doing close to jack-shit for the first half of the semester due to depression, too much coursework, and general stress. Now I've been trying to catch up, but I think I might have some basic understanding of the core principles of the last 2 chapters we did, so I need to fully understand those and completely learn all the Laws from the other 4 chapters in time to hopefully not fail the Final next Saturday.
Feel free to send me a PM if you're stuck with anything, I quite enjoy helping people with maths.

just let u = x^2 + 1 and banter it into the thingy you're integrating

60% of the time it works every time
Is that x^(2+1) or x^(2)+1?
x^(2)+1

Otherwise he would of just put x^3 lol

SLS a shit, praise be to SKYLON.
Skylon is certainly a marvel, they planning on testing it anytime soon?
I wish.
They don't really announce much, which is frustrating, but understandable at this stage in development.
Last I heard they'd demonstrated a working precooler to ESA, and ESA published a report saying that a working model is entirely possible with current technologies.
Not entirely sure they are doing right now, possibly building a full prototype engine.
First test flights are meant to be around 2017-2020, but they could and probably will change.
Those engines are complicated as fuck, it's going to take a while.

To teach what?

Physical Education
Just average high school PE, or something else?

Really any grade K-12. I wouldn't mind teaching little kids. But eventually I'd like to become a professor.

I mean, my job now is amazing. Its just boring.
Done any teaching before?

I subbed during junior and senior year of college for some extra money. It was pretty sweet.
If you enjoyed it, go for it. You know your sports as well, so at the very least you'll be able to introduce kids to a number of new sports, something my PE teachers didn't do very well.
