WHAT MADE THE RED MAN REEEEED?

This is Serious, so if I were to describe people that support turning away refugees, I probably wouldn't use phrases like, "you're a fucking xenophobic asshole", and I definitely wouldn't point out the incredible hypocrisy in supporting military campaigns against ISIS while turning away refugees fleeing from those conflicts by calling anyone a "heartless cunt".

I wouldn't do any of that.
Can't tell if this post is directed at me or not

If it is directed at me - you realize the title of this post is ironic, right?

791
I always considered a lot of Septagon (especially serious) to be a cesspool of stupidity, ignorance, and people who don't understand the difference between a healthy debate and flaming someone for disagreeing with them.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch?

792
Lmao, shit

Fixed it

It's quite sad that people care more about how many minority people you have in your staff as opposed to whether the staff are the best at their role.
So diversity isn't also an admirable quality?
Not when it takes precedence over a more qualified person getting the job
>implying that we've ever worked on a pure meritocracy that is blind to race

DAE EUGENICS ISN'T THAT BAD?

And that's assuming that there's only one brand of intellect, that intellect would be in any way quantifiable, and that intelligence necessitates ingenuity and creativity.

In other words, you'd be culled if this was in effect.

>Insurgent uprising in Islamic country
>Primarily conscripts new members through two methods: outsourcing with propaganda to far-off countries and threatening the local citizens
>Local citizens flee to avoid being forcibly conscripted into ISIS
>Foreign countries refuse to let them flee because they could be part of ISIS

It's like people want a united Levant.

"If you pay to go to a public school, you can't complain if you face institutionalized discrimination"

Yeah, what a guy
You guys really need to stop throwing around terms like 'institutionalized discrimination' where there is none, because all it will ever end up doing is denigrating actual cases of institutionalized discrimination.

The university didn't offer what these idiots were looking for. Boo fucking hoo. They either have a choice of bucking up and choosing something else, or moving to another university that have the major they want. Crying wolf and throwing temper tantrums accomplishes nothing.

'Institutionalized discrimination' fucking lmao. Anything to establish a victim status for these people.

Nobody's talking about the fuckin' major. Who gives a shit about the fuckin' major?
the protesters
kek
The point on the major is so far-removed from the primary point of the protests that I literally hadn't even heard that point brought up until today.

It's one of their top demands.
Pretty sure their top demands were for the president to step down and for the racist attitudes of the campus at-large to be addressed more closely.

I encourage you to read the article. Top demands were for a black studies major and increased budget for diversity training. They said they would demand the president step down if they didn't acquiesce by Friday.
Oh, I thought this was about the Mizzou stuff.

Haven't even heard about this shit.

Seems like a non-issue, tbh - the major stuff, that is.

And beating up a reporter for practicing his natural rights instantly undermines any validity, not that there was any to begin with, your cause had.

Also "safe places" are unlawful
Lmao

Please explain how

And you do realize that literally everywhere is a "safe space" in some form or fashion, yes?
You can't impede free speech
Uh...yes, you can.

Really easily, actually.

Just because it's not illegal to talk about something doesn't mean it's accepted socially or academically.

Still doesn't mean it's right though. Dragging someone through the dirt over a mistake or holding an opinion that's not popular isn't right nor is it something we as a society should condone. I don't like Verbatim's options but that doesn't mean I would censor him for being outrageously dumb.
There's a difference between censoring someone's opinions because you disagree with them and dissalowing hate speech in an education environment.

What exactly is the administration supposed to do about what occurs at a private party? Frown and look sad about it?
So you would suggest that they just ignore discrimination entirely, then?

>Someone gave their opinion about the Rwandan genocide that offended someone
>institutionalized

Go reread the article again or look up what institutionalized means, because evidently you haven't done one or the other.
Failure to act on racism promoted by the community in an educational environment due to ignorance or unwillingness is institutionalized racism. It doesn't mean there's some Georgian professor cracking a whip at his black students while he taunts them in a southern drawl, it means that there is a willing sense of ignorance about racist acts being committed by students on campus - such as the cotton and the swastikas.
