Or you could

Y'know

Buy from local farms that treat their animals well like I said in my original post.
No such thing as "treating animals well" in a farm. Have you BEEN to a local farm?
Bruh, I spent a week at a farm

I have friends that own farms

I've ridden horses on farms for Christ's sake

Why don'cha fill me in, then?
Well, let me just say first that it doesn't make sense for a champion of social justice such as yourself to say something like "veganism is stupid."

Why is veganism stupid?

Why is the boycotting of the meat & dairy industry stupid?
Why is accounting for the endless suffering of sentient creatures stupid?
Why is recognizing the fact that cows, chickens, and pigs are capable of feeling pain stupid?
Why is making an exerted effort in stopping that pain and suffering stupid?
Why is wanting to stop this stupid?
Why is making healthier diet choices stupid?
Why is recognizing that you don't actually need animal products to survive stupid?
Why is being ethical stupid?

You may not nominally support the torture and cruel treatment of animals, but by consuming meat & dairy products, you are financially supporting the industry. Not only does nobody need meat--we have to kill innocent life forms to get it. There is no excuse, and there is no justification. If you consume animal products, you're a scumbag.
Or you could

Y'know

Buy from local farms that treat their animals well like I said in my original post.

Yeah, and this is kind of what it's ALL about, isn't it?

It's easier for you to say this stupid shit, because you're just ignorant of everything vegans stand for.

I suggest you read up on the subject before you talk about it.

While political correctness has plagued humanity for a long time, there was never this call for censorship from the supposed progressive crowd.
Plagued humanity? By doing what? Was the civil rights movement a plague on humanity? Was the legalization of gay marriage a huge issue for people? You can call the dumbshit reactionaries petty all you want, I'm not gonna stop you, but saying that political correctness is some kind of "plague on humanity" because you aren't allowed to say 'nigger', 'tranny', and 'faggot' in public discourse and labeling that as "censorship" is just as stupid as saying that yoga is offensive to asians.

Quote
Again, you're dodging the point. Whether this is new or ancient is irrelevant. SJW's tend to be young adults. Young adults who claim to be liberals are calling for the censorship of people.
Please don't use 'SJW'. It's a meaningless buzzword at this point.

That being said, you're not wrong, but progressivism always happens in stages. That, also, is nothing new. Every generation is going to be more accepting to new ideas than the previous one - that's just how development works. When you've grown with a set of ideas, you tend to be less accepting to newer ones than someone who's seen these ideas presenting for their entire lives.

Quote
You asked what politically correct people are doing wrong, you were given examples. You ignored these examples and chose to rant about "reactionaries". But tell me, what exactly is reactionary about a national coalition censoring free speech on college campuses? Seems to me like this was a well thought out plan by people to censor speech they can't handle.
Look, I dunno what to tell you, here. A bunch of college kids getting the idea in their heads that yoga is "offensive" and then petitioning (successfully) to ban the practice on the college is about as reactionary as it gets. There's not some big evil plot, it's just college kids being how they are. This isn't anything new.

I'm not ignoring the examples - they ARE very stupid, and I'm not defending them - I'm just saying that using them and then saying "HRMPH, FUCKING PC CULTURE KIDS THESE DAYS GRRRR" is silly and pointless.

Quote
You have absolutely no excuse. So you're either one of these people, or you think you have to be a racist to disagree with these people. Which either would make you one of these so called SJW's.
Seriously, what are you even saying?

My response has been "those are dumb but, yeah, college kids are always dumb," and then you go, "YOU CALLING ME A RACIST? YOU DEFENDING THESE IDIOTS? FUCKING SJW, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE."

What? I'm not defending them, I'm defending the fact that you can't just say "pc culture smh" because some idiots wanna ban yoga and then decide to group people that wan't to actually do some good in helping marginalized peoples are lumped in with yoga-banning college kids and preteens on tumblr that think they're planets. It's why the 'SJW' label is so stupid.

And please, though slightly off-topic, stop with the "muh free speech" thing. While, once again, I'm not campaigning for censorship on universities, they're private institutions and have the right to censor whatever they damn well please. However, societal backlashes against slurs and prejudice isn't censorship, it's civility.

Woah, this just in - college-aged kids tend to be incredibly reactionary and go overboard on any ideaology they get attached to

It's almost as if...it's almost like this sort of thing has been happening forever

Reactionaries in their 20's have always been reactionaries in their 20's. This isn't some newfound evil SJW supreme takeover, this is college kids doing what college kids have always done.
Where did I say this was a new concept?  You came in acting like all politically correct people do is ask people nicely to do things, I disagreed.  Then you asked me to show you examples, I did.  Now you are saying that you knew all along and me posting examples was a waste of time.
No, I'm just saying that people throwing examples like that out and saying that it's the fault of "pc culture" is like me linking a thing to the "there'll never be a nigger in SAE" and saying that the conservative party is getting out of hand.

There's a lot of dissonance between actual government/educational representatives on the issue, people on the internet, and college reactionaries that think they're gonna save all the asians by banning yoga - that's all I'm saying.

Time to weigh in on this issue

Veganism is stupid lel

Vegetarianism is...I can understand the issue from the point of wanting not to support big farma companies that treat their animals with terrible conditions. I would hold that there are other ways to get around this like buying from local markets and such, but maybe that's easier for me to say because I live in Texas where that sort of thing is readily available.

Merkel won, so at least they didn't pick one of the idiotic choices.
Jesus Kristus
Why do you dislike Merkel?
Because she's a hypocritical ass who goes out of her way to be hilariously anti-NSA and harp on the Obama administration while doing very similar things to the German people.

Not to mention everything about the CDU (Christlich Demokratische Union/Christian Democratic Union).

"The concept that we are now living side by side and are happy about it does not work"
"We feel attached to the Christian concept of mankind, that is what defines us. Anyone who doesn't accept that is in the wrong place here."

- Merkel on non-Christian immigrants from Turkey and Vietnam

Of course this was in 2010 before ISIS and the Syrian refugee crisis. She'll flip to whatever will put her in a good light with the general populace. Not that I don't think it's good that she wants to help immigrants, but it winds me up that she's obviously only doing so because that's what's expected.

"We should LITERALLY BAN Islam! No more muslims! Syrians are raping the women in Europe and need to be banned!"
"Hey maybe you shouldn't sling around hate speech on unfounded claims?"
"CENSORSHIP. CENSORSHIP. I'M BEING CENSORED RIGHT NOW. FUCKING PC CUCKS CENSORING MY FREE SPEECH."
Lets not pretend that's all that is ever done by the politically correct.
And what other horrible things are done by them?

This isn't me being an ass, this is me legitimately wondering. What sorts of awful, terrible things do you think the "PC" people do?
There is almost always a call to censor, boycott, ban, and vilify people for the most insignificant things.  These are just a few recently.

Not a new concept for the easily butt hurt, people made a petition to ban Trump from the UK because of his ban muslims comment, with over 200,000 signatures already.

Yoga class suspended for being "oppressive" and cultural appropriation.

Guy who's literally only at the top because of le funny memes

Group that could've gone somewhere at the beginning but turned into the same thing that Occupy Wall Street was - all listing problems with no solutions. Good for them for spreading awareness, but otherwise...kinda dicks.

Rich cunt who thinks gay marriage is wrong because it's not "traditional" despite being transgender, which is hilarious to me. Good on her for putting trans issues in a spotlight, but as a person she's a cunt.

Tbh I don't really know anything about him but w/e, uber

If Merkel gets selected as person of the year then I will be ashamed of my country, jfc

Another meme vote, and anyone who's seriously voting for a guy who just invaded another sovereign country in a land-grab earlier this year is pretty scary.

Don't really know anything about this guy

Can't stump the Trump - unless you're the internet, in which case he's gotta check in with Bill Gates.

« on: December 06, 2015, 09:56:47 PM »
I was about 11 at the time of this dream, but for some fucking reason I still remember it clearly. As some background, my little sister had a toy Easter Bunny plushie that would sing a little song about Easter when you squeezed the foot.

My family was sitting in the den of our old house (we've since moved, having been in Germany and whatnot) and I heard the song, but it was, like, really slow and deep. So we go outside and the fuckin' toy's sitting on the driveway, but it's huge - talkin' at least 20 or so feet tall.

And that's really the only thing I remember. I mean, some other stuff happened, but it was a dream so it was all disconnected and didn't make much sense. We rolled the bitch down the street or something.

Guns really shouldn't be banned, and this is coming from someone in a place where they are. If you're going to commit a crime (murder, for example), you're going to commit a crime, gun or not.

Seriously, attack the person, not the weapon.
But as I said on the last page, a lot harder to kill a bunch of cunts with a sword.

Think the Sandy Hook Massacre would've gone down the same with if that dickfuck had come charging up to the schoolhouse with a scottish claymore?

He could have used a bomb - they're banned, aren't they?
And explosives also happen to be very easily made with rudimentary materials

But it's not like he could've come to the school with military grade C4. Home-made plastic explosives are usually pretty shit.

You could always put more effort into making a better bomb.

Also, guns are still quite easily obtainable in places where they are banned, if you are using them for criminal purposes.
Lmao, really now?

Because 30 grand is easily obtainable, eh?

The boys behind the Columbine massacre planted pipe bombs in the school, and had they succeeded in detonating, most people in the cafeteria at the time would have been killed.
30 grand is the average estimated price of an AR-15 bought illegally in Australia, not a pipe bomb

And the Columbine massacre is honestly a fluke. It's nothing like the Aurora shootings or the Sandy Hook massacre. Columbine is to mass shootings as Richard Kuklinski is to murders.

Luc is just saying that it's not really worth the time to argue with someone so far on the opposite end of the spectrum.
