It's true that calling it "standing with" Paris is an overly romanticized way of putting it and most people don't mean anything special by it, it's what happens when you're trying to convey an emotional viewpoint.
That's highly unprofessional.
It's really not. Humans are not robots. Read the mission statement of a major corporation and you'll find the same kind of emotional content. You give the impression you want everything to sound like an end user license agreement.

The quotation marks signified a quote, so I didn't word it differently.
I know what quotes mean. I was referring to how you wrote "most civilized people are with" Paris because I guess you didn't want to write "most civilized people stand with". They're the same thing. And it's not even obviously implicit. This is why other people are upset that similarly victimized countries aren't getting the public support that France is, with other people on this forum concluding that no one really cares about those other countries.

I'm pretty sure most civilised people [stand] with Paris against the attacks, so why even bother? [...] There's no argument between the attackers and France, so why do you "Stand with Paris"? How do you stand with Paris?
OP just because you word it differently you can't fool me into believing you don't understand what they're talking about. As for the rest is this post really predicated on the idea that everyone obviously stands with Paris and so explicitly stating as much rather than relying on the silent implication is objectionable somehow?

This is what happens when a large portion of the information conveyed in conversation is based on tone of voice, facial expression, body language etc and you try to be equally subtle online with text alone. You're unlikely to be any better at reading other people's intentions than anyone else here.

Not just Isis, but the entirety of Islam as a whole. Billions of fucking people, I wouldn't care if they all died in a pool of their own blood. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychopathy

Uhhhh. Vegan cheese doesn't count as cheese, right? And vegan chocolate is actually considered real chocolate.
So, cheese. Because I can't eat that shit anyway.
I can't decide if I think this is cheating or not

Also the things OP's talking about don't really matter but the religious views of the rest of country absolutely do affect you if you live in the US.

Eh, the shit will die out sooner or later as the baby boomers continue to die out and a new more secular generation takes their place.
What will it say on your money?
