Like FAS 'Federation of Allied States' to counter NATO.
Kinda hard to make alliances and friends when your economy, borders, and government falls to ashes. I think they're slowly making allies now, but yeah it's in no way even within breathing distance of what NATO is.
Like I said, should have acted sooner while some nations still liked the idea of having some sort of union in Eastern Europe.
Too late now.
Well China and Russia could form some kinda cooperation like they're doing now, but even then it's not nearly as close as people like to think. And Russia invading Ukraine more or less killed any Eastern nations wanting to be part of them again.
Russia could liberate Europe from the EU and they could be seen in positive light.

Crimea should have stayed with Ukraine. I can understand why it was snatched up, but it was not done right. All sanctions are justified.
George Soros funded the Ukrainian revolution and Putin didn't want Crimea to become a Nato base.

I mainly meant that in reference to China going to war with the US, anyway; and out of curiousity, why would China not be willing to risk intervention in the face of millions of refugees entering the country due to a conflict instigated by the US? Not to say China would immediately retaliate, but I'd say intervening in the conflict would make sense from the Chinese perspective.
