so i finished devilman crybaby
Spoiler when i first began, i was expecting just a fun & violent “hurr durr kill demon lul” anime. i was not expecting it to be quite sad lol. by the last epsiode i was thinking to myself “what in the hell is going on??” w/ satan appearing & divine intervention & stuff. not that it’s a bad thing though a problem i had w/ it is things just... happened w/o much explanation. like, one epsiode ryo & akira are at each others necks, and a few minutes into the next epsiode, theyre buddy buddy again... like wut okay overall it was enjoyable, i liked the idea of this devil having a human heart/compassion. i was surprised to see the direction it went towards. it gave me a feeling of hope, sorta, when it was like “humans can overcome this!” but then by the end the whole world was obliterated. nice. sorry if my thoughts are all over the place, i dont usually review things let alone jot them down for others to read, you know? now ill most likely continue naruto 337
The Flood / Re: What shows have you been watching lately?« on: July 15, 2020, 02:14:43 PM »as a small break, ima watch something else. verbatim recommended devilman crybaby, and first impressions are pretty good. the first episode was very bizarre but in a good way. i dont usually watch mature shows, i stick to good ol romcom/drama/slice of life. but, i do enjoy darker stuff every so often.oh shit i actually thought you'd hate it lmao the opening immediately caught my attention when i started, i saw the little caption on the top that was like "mature: sex, drugs, violence, etc" and thought oh my goodness... im intrigued 338

i finished that first arc of naruto. overall it was pretty boring sometimes, and the fights were okay, but the ending was pretty good. it was pretty cool to see
ah yes, like, 15 year old spoilers sasuke do the sharigan thing and naruto turning into the fox as a small break, ima watch something else. verbatim recommended devilman crybaby, and first impressions are pretty good. the first episode was very bizarre but in a good way. i dont usually watch mature shows, i stick to good ol romcom/drama/slice of life. but, i do enjoy darker stuff every so often. 339
Gaming / Re: Brother and I bought a Wii U« on: July 14, 2020, 04:13:24 PM »
i had a lotta fun with hyrule warriors, especially when i played coop with my brother. we used to play together a lot as kids but as we grew older we stopped. we played hyrule warriors a lot together, so i have very fond memories of it
i understand some people might not find the mindless hack & slash fun, but the game has a ton of replayability, especially with the challenging adventure maps although, there IS a definitive edition on the switch, no? maybe it wouldnt be a good idea to pick it up for the wii u, but if you can find it for a good price, id definitely recommend it 340
The Flood / Re: What shows have you been watching lately?« on: July 14, 2020, 03:08:38 PM »yeah! post thoughtsreally? i dont usually pay attention to anime netflix "makes"/licenses/ownsive gotten 16 episodes into narutowatch devilman crybaby instead, that one has "alphy" written all over it i usually only watch 1 non-airing anime at a time, but since naruto is a million episodes ill prolly check it out after im done with this arc... whenever that is also, so i dont have to make 2 posts, i might continue naruto if yall say the next arc is good 341

Chunin Exams right after is good but it doesn't really pick up until immediately after that arc.ive gotten 16 episodes into naruto yea, theyre still fighting haku & zabusa (idk his name) on the bridge im not used to fights spanning a couple of episodes, so maybe it will get better 343
The Flood / Re: What shows have you been watching lately?« on: July 14, 2020, 12:08:46 PM »
ive gotten 16 episodes into naruto
honestly i dont think it's for me. even during the 2 big fights so far, i struggle to enjoy it i might just finish up this arc and call it quits 344

Gaming / Re: Halo Mega Thread« on: July 10, 2020, 10:34:08 AM »You probably won't need to play HW2 to understand Infinite, given the game ends more or less as it began. The entire game is just "people doing stuff" but nothing really actually happens. They're trying to avoid doing the super hard EU/ game integration now so its unlikely they'll bring the Spirit of Fire into the main series. i downloaded the game to give it another try, but if thats the case i might not play it lol 346

after many years of being a weeb, ive decided to watch naruto a few days ago. i dont generally like shonen, but my friends always nagged me about it. it's okay ig
but the real star of the show is yuki yuna is a hero. i started rewatching it last night, starting with the prequel. it's one of my favorite anime that i almost never see talked about 347

just 100%'ed the game
Spoiler overall it was a pretty fun game. i enjoy platform games, and i appreciated the amount of freedom you get it when it comes to picking what areas you wanna do. i did rock bottom after i got the cruise bubble, and was able to cheese lots of RB because of it. since it's a kids game i can understand it being on the easy side, but i still enjoyed being able to play through all the areas of the show. just recently i rewatched the original seasons, so it's nice to see all the nods to the show as well if i had something to complain about is the amount of grinding you need for the shiny objects. 351

wow you werent kidding when you said the theater was pointless
ive spent the past hour farming for both the golden spatulas and the theater and outta curiosity, i spent them for the theater what kind of nonsense "reward" is this lol 352

ive only been playing animal crossing, call of duty modern warfare, rocket league and the SpongeBob remake
i only play 30 min -1 hr of animal crossing a day, but it's still cool nonetheless. cod and rocket, i play mostly with friends. im super close to finishing the spongebob game, just need the final area and farming currency... the latter is not fun if it counts, im also playing a mobile game (oh and also pokemon go), called girls frontline. it's basically anime waifus with guns. im being super careful on not spending money, i dont want to fall into the mobile game trap 353

the shiny object grind is real holy crap
im at sandys dream right now, and the tikis at the beginning give about 285 and i need a bajillion i need 6 golden spatulas left, 4 of which are from mr krabs, the other 2 being in the chum bucket 358
