The Flood / Re: my dog was put down
« on: March 18, 2017, 12:09:47 AM »
I'll give you a serious post

Don't feel sorry for venting about it because odds are you're bottling up emotions. You've had that guy for you the majority of your life, and you probably loved him to death. You have a special bond with your dog if you show him the amount of love I suspect you did. No other animal will love you as unconditionally as a dog will.

I had to put mine down 2 years ago now, and I've had him since 2005 as a small puppy. I loved the guy to death, and went with him to hold him as he got injected. I remember the week before we took him, I just hugged him and broke down crying because I hated seeing him get so old, he had trouble even sitting down at that point. The worst part is you think the decline in health will be slow, and you'll see it coming, but nope, it all happens within a matter of months, just crashing down on you. Such is life though, and it's rough.

I'll never forget the look in his eyes when we finally put him down and gave him the mercy I knew the poor guy wanted. It still hurts thinking about it.

If you need someone to PM and talk to about it or vent, I'm more than willing to listen and all that. If not, I get it, just figured I'd extend the invitation.

Keep your chin up, and take hear in knowing you did the right thing though by putting him down. We're selfish as humans, wanting to hold on to those we love for our own reasons, even when we know it's not in their personal best interest.

thank you, the vets said we could have waited until monday, but my brother said he'd be willing to pay any extra cost just to end his suffering

i hated seeing him in such a bad shape

Anyone else really enjoy Kass's presence in the game? His accordion blends well with the stable themes and his appearance near shrines and side quests is pretty cool. Plus he's just a cool looking Rito.

have you done his shrine quest thingies yet? i haven't attempted them since they seem too hard lol

like, the one where you have to find something with a crown of bones? idk something like that

yeah, there are dozens throughout hyrule he helps you with

some of them are pretty hard, yeah. the one in kitano bay in particular took me awhile to figure out.

speaking of shrines, have you done the fateful stars one? the one in korok forest

i was thinking it'd be something like a square since it gives you 4 balls, but i can't find anything that might be the constellation it's talking about

so how do the picture memories work? does the picture have to be 100% accurate, or what

i tried to get the desert oasis one and i spent like 20 minutes but i couldn't get it. what am i doing wrong?

There's a glowing circle near where the picture was taken. Just find that.

really

i haven't seen any glowing circle, and i'm like 99.9% i'm in the right area

so how are you guys spending your spirit orbs? I've found two stamina wheels is more than enough so ive put everything else into heart.

i was alternating between hearts and stamina, but once i learned you needed a certain amount of hearts to do the thing, i invested all of them into hearts until i got it

i'm prolly gonna spend them on stamina now that i got it tho

Finally liberated my first Divine Beast--the elephant.

I don't think spoilers are necessary for this but I'm just being careful
Easy as it was, the ingenuity of the puzzles and map design is still there, which makes me pretty happy. Had to stop and think about what to do next at least three times. This game has a way of making you feel like a complete and utter badass. I felt like Superman after everything was said and done.

Mipha's VA wasn't very good, but I still adore her character's storyline, and it was great to see it resolved (albeit in a bittersweet way).

Waterblight Ganon was piss-easy, but he had a great design and I was decked out with a lot of powerful shit anyway.

Mipha's Grace seems a bit OP, but maybe I'm just not understanding how it works.

i've freed 2 beasts, the elephant the camel... thing lol

Spoiler
waterblight was super difficult for me, it took me like 30 minutes. i was a quite weak at the time tho, with only like 5-6 hearts and not very good equipment

spoiler about master sword
don't open this unless you've actually gotten the master sword
this might seem like a dumb question, but can the master sword break? i was a bit confused when the deku tree was like "if you use it too much you'll have to wait for the sword to get back its power" or w/e.

will it be 100% unusable or wat

Spoiler
It breaks but it has a 10 minute recharge. It doesn't degrade against Guardians though (unless youre in the shrines.)

Spoiler
hmm alright thanks. i was a bit scared that i'd waste it on some bokoblins and lose it forever or something lol

i love how much tiny details are in the game

the npcs are really fleshed out, like, they'll do/say different things depending on the circumstances

also, i activated a cutscene but in a way i wasn't supposed to, and the cutscene and dialogue changed a lil, which is really neat

it's cool the divine beasts are their own lil mini dungeon... at least the elephant one is not sure about the others

the boss took me like 30 min tho <.<

1410
are you guys worrying too much about the main story quests? as soon as i got the paraglider i went the opposite direction, towards the gerudo desert

also, it seems that i found one of the divine beasts things. O_o
