The worst thing was that there was some construction work going on nearby, where they used explosives. The tremors didn't feel nice, so to speak. It was definitively worth it, though.

Sounds hardcore. I hope the surgery goes well... No one wants metal bars inside of their chest.
It's hardcore alright. I'm like the muthafrickin' Wolverine or somethin'. Jokes aside, it hurt like hell back then. I had to be on morphine intravenously for a week, and take pills for about a month afterwards.

...for registration for a surgery I'll perform on Tuesday.
They asked me the normal stuff, if I had had any major disease lately, if I was on any medication etc.
Did a couple of blood tests, ECG, blood pressure, all standard procedure stuff.
The reason for the surgery is to remove a metal bar from my chest, that was inserted about three and a half years ago.
I had this condition called Pectus Excavatum, which is a cave-in in the chest caused by the sternum being behind the ribcage instead of on level with it.
So I went through the surgery known as the NUSS procedure, where the metal bar was inserted which caused it to pop out and flatten. It's like bracers for the rib cage.
It'll be nice to finally have it removed. It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it pretty much constantly.
