The Flood / Surgery Update« on: September 09, 2014, 01:09:49 PM »
As you may recall, I made a topic last week about me going to the hospital for registration and tests for an upcoming surgery.
Well, now it's done. The metal bar that has been a part of me for more than three years have been taken out. I can't really feel if there's a difference or not due to still being a bit drugged up, and due to my sides hurting were they cut me. I'll spend the night here in the hospital, but it looks like I'll be going home tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be fully recovered in a few days. 6603
The Flood / Re: How many people were in your graduating high school class?« on: September 07, 2014, 05:40:12 AM »I guess it's pretty similar then, just divided up differently. In the US it's usually...Okay. In my country (Sweden) elementary goes from 1st to 9nth grade (though technically it's separated into "stages", 1st-3rd grade is "Low Stage", 4th-6th is "Middle Stage" 7th-9th is "High Stage") and what I guess could be seen as our equivalent of High School, "Gymasiet", after that, generally from ages 16-18 unless you take a sabbatical in-between.In the US that's generally only applicable to Junior High (or Middle School, they mean the same thing) and they don't get those names. And this is college/university level? What about educations that are only two or three years long?Freshman: 1st yearOh. Coming from a country where English isn't the primary language, and with a slightly different education system, makes some terms confusing to me.That's what "class" means, in the graduating sense.Maybe 200 this year?I may have misunderstood. In my class there were seven people, but in the entire grade/year/whatever there must've been several hundreds. 6604

I'm fully aware that the Dark Ages weren't as dark as commonly thought, but have this thing called a sense of humor. I don't know if whoever made that picture in the first place was aiming for that, though.
