It makes things a bit cleaner here, I think, without the addition of images in signatures. They might impact page load times, yes, since signature capsules are set to a height of 0 instead of a display of 0.
Well, signatures are hidden for the most part, so it wouldn't affect anyone just reading through a thread. They do pop up when you're giving karma, though, so I can understand the decision.

But I feel that it is worth sharing anyway. An LP record for Jolene, played at 33 rpm, makes it sound as if the song is performed by a man. I'm considering buying a 2DS just for the Gen III remakes. Easily my favorite Pokemon games. Hoenn is so good!

Why not just buy a used 3DS XL (or just the regular 3DS) if you want to save money?
I'm not really too concerned with design, and the regular 3DS is still like $50 more than the 2DS.
It's not so much about the look as it is about the bumpers being so high up and far way from the rest of the buttons.
