When people try to act intellectely superior despite being huge dumbasses themselves. So a big portion of YouTube comments.

I've learned to ignore it, though.

Gaming / Re: What's your stance on Microsofts of Minecraft?
« on: September 16, 2014, 01:39:27 AM »
Mmm I'm torn on it.

I feel the game can have some nice fancy features with with the bigger budget.

However if Notch leaves like I heard it will lose that little bit of character and quality that it had.

It'd be like Jason Jones leaving Bungie.

Notch was an idiot and didn't do shit for the game. Fuck, none of the people that really made the game what it is today are actually leaving. Notch in particular took more vacation days than he did working days and his two failed projects prove that he can't do anything other than rip off other games.

Under MS maybe Mojang can get some real leadership so the few talented people that do work there can really make something great.
You have to remember that Not h didn't expect Minecraft to become this famous. He just made a very rough version in his free time, he probably didn't expect more than twenty people to try it and then forget about it in a week. He didn't try to become famous. He's just a normal guy.

A news section would be cool, I wouldn't mind doing that.

At first it would be about gaming only but once we attract a wider audience we could make it grow into other areas.
It's on the way, but as far as I know it'll only be written material.

I believe that at this point, if a game didn't have a "vidya shotgun" then everyone would call it unrealistic.
Look what I found a couple of pages away from that article:

Don't try to say Homo Sapiens on Bungie.net. Why? Because they will be -blam!- Sapiens. Yes, the filter replaces swears with -blam!-, as it was Halo's second codename. The first one was Monkey Nuts, and was changed when Bungie founder Jason Jones (no relation to the one on The Daily Show) wanted to tell his mother about the game.
They have a similar problem with naming a custom map in Halo 3. Among others, you can't use the word assault... even though there's a game type called "Assault"!

That always pissed me off, it's like in Age of Empires 3.
You can't call something a Fortification because fica is an italian swearword. Fucking censorship o.e

Serious / Re: Political election in progress in Sweden
« on: September 15, 2014, 06:50:24 AM »
There's an election, or rather, three elections, going on. There's the election for the parliament, one for each county, and one for each municipality.

I believe the voting has just finished, so now the votes are being counted.

These elections are held every four years, so this is my first time voting in it. I also voted in the EU election earlier this year.
How come you're note retarded like every other swede I've ever met?

Serious / Re: Political election in progress in Sweden
« on: September 15, 2014, 05:40:40 AM »
While the votes will not be completely counted until a couple of days, the results are clear already.

It's a victory for the left-wing Red-Green block. The right-wing block has gone down in popularity Moderate party won't be in charge. Good thing I say. The school and employment politics of he last eight years has been disastrous. The Moderates has made it easier for employers to fire employees from one day to another, without cause. Hopefully that'll be reversed now.

The nationalistic Sweden Democrats keep rising in popularity. The other parties will probably still refuse to work with them.

The equality party Feminist Initiative ultimately did not make it into the parliament.

That's all from the Swedish election.

Dunno why the fems want a party in your local laws when they already have the super-national EU in their pocket making dictates left, right and centre.
Because not all laws are made by the EU parliament?

Oh God. Don't fucking do Let's Plays.
I don't see what the problem is.
Let's plays exist in many different styles, each person has different tastes, and each let's player do things slightly differently. The quality is hard to judge objectively, and thus would hard to keep consistent.

Or maybe Verbatim just despises let's plays for some other reason. I don't know.

This seems like the kind of thing the flood would be unable to handle.
We're lazy motherfuckers, and half assing this shit is a definite.

If you want someone to do a Let's Play with, give me a ring, but I don't have all of my old AV tech and Pro Video editing software.
You've done let's plays?

Oh God. Don't fucking do Let's Plays.
I was thinking along the line of reviews and guides. If anybody wants to do a let's play it should be on their own channel. I have nothing against let's plays, but the style varies wildly and each person likes different ones.

The Flood / Re: Idea to draw interest to the site
« on: September 15, 2014, 04:25:11 AM »
I've been thinking of something similar. Doing lets plays and game reviews n shit.
The most important thing is to keep quality high. Something like this can't be half-assed.

The Flood / Re: Idea to draw interest to the site
« on: September 15, 2014, 04:22:19 AM »
That seems a lot of work for something that probably won't work. What would the videos be about anyway?

(Also don't get any funny ideas. I may be a video editor, but I no longer have the software)
Reviews, tips and tricks videos, and such.
I know that it's not the greatest idea, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

The Flood / Idea to draw interest to the site
« on: September 15, 2014, 04:18:32 AM »
There's been talk about having a section of the site where we can submit written articles, like game and movie reviews, walkthroughs, and such.

What if we could start an official Sep7agon YouTube channel? It wouldn't be huge, and the main purpose wouldn't be to get popular on YouTube, but to use it to post the videos on here.

People work differently when it comes to creativity and voicing their opinions. Sure, a video requires much more work to be good, as it's not just about the content, but how it's presented. Recording, cutting, editing, takes more time than writing a text and clicking save. So this idea might be a bit unfeasable.

But I think it's worth noting, and considering.
