No, I'd avoid the situation of getting ridiculous request completely beforehand. Normally when making threads where I ask the community to engage in something like this, I think through it for more than a couple of seconds, and put up a basic set of rules. "I will do whatever you say, as long as it's possible" is very lax.

All time periods has both good and bad music. It's just that we've forgotten the bad ones from the past. Know where to look, and you can find modern music that's enjoyable. Particularly by small bands that do music out of passion rather than to get a paycheck.
