Warning: wall of text coming through.
Spoiler I see myself as an ecologist, feminist, and socialist. I'm an ecologist because I think that we as a species has no right to destroy the earth as we are currently doing. Something needs to be done, and it needs to be done fast. I try my best to reduce my carbon footprint, and I recycle my trash as good as the system lets me. Good thing that metal, plastics, paper, biological waste and normal trash is sorted separately where I live. I'm a feminist because I believe in equality. Now, don't start to shout "feminazi" at me, I'm not a radical feminist. I just simply think that we should have equality. True equality, not the "women are allowed to vote and work, so stfu" kind. People should be allowed to be themselves and to express that, and that includes but is not limited to transgenders, genderqueers, and other identities that doesn't fit the "norm" of society. The norm itself serves no purpose, and should be critically thought about. When even the glasses at the optician are separated into "Men's" and "Women's", something is wrong. Glasses have nothing to do with the sex chromosomes. I'm a socialist because I believe that people have the right to a certain standard of living. Still, I believe that if you are successfully in life, you should be able to keep at least a part of that success. I've yet to settle on a theoretical balance between welfare and taxes vs personal economical freedom, but I do believe that people shouldn't have to suffer just because they were born into the "wrong" family. People should have at least moderately equal opportunities in life, such as free education, even in the higher fields. It's what people do with those opportunities that decide their further success. 6223

What is your stance on people who loot dumpsters for items that has been thrown away, but is still usable? For example, dumpsters outside of food stores that contain food items that either has or soon will expire, or has been thrown away for other reasons.

The Flood / Re: What are/were your favorite subjects in school?« on: September 21, 2014, 07:40:42 AM »
Funnily enough, despite being an atheist Religion was one of my favorite subjects. It's just so interesting to learn about the history and impact of religion.
English was also a favorite subject of mine, mainly because I rarely had to put much effort into it and still got good grades. Also, as I said in the favorite teachers thread, our English teacher in High School was really good. Art, Design, and 3D modeling was fun as well. Physics was interesting but I could never get good at it. Math could be sort of fun at times, when I got into the flow of going through calculations, but when I had the option to continue to more advanced math, I chose not to and decided to focus on the creative subjects. I can get interested in most subjects if it's presented in a fun way. 6231
