Think of it this way. If you're in a committed relationship with someone, okay. I can understand taking nuke pics and storing them locally on an external HDD, but on the cloud or in any place where it's accessible? Big mistake.
Either she doesn't know how technology works or she just wants attention. Anything that's up on the internet is obtainable, even if encrypted.
All I'm saying is, if you don't want your nudes to end up on the internet, don't even create the nudes in the first place, or at least don't upload them on the cloud for fucks sake. I bet the NSA even saw this shit before we did.
If you don't care that you have nudes on the internet, good for you, more power to ya!
I don't slut shame. If Jennifer Lawrence were to take nudes and upload them on iCloud, she should be aware that if that kind of shit gets breached, she was responsible for her nudes to be copied and pasted since she is the author of her own nudes. And if she didn't care and just rubbed it off, hey. More power to you. It's tough yes but at least you can acknowledge what happened and learn not to make the same mistake again.... but.... you did Jennifer. You did.
If she were to willingly pose nude and have it publicly available by her, more power to you.

The nudes weren't uploaded, IIRC. They were stored locally and then deleted, but the phone itself was connected to the cloud, so it got hacked and the photos recovered (since deletion really doesn't do anything until it's overwritten).
This is why I have photo uploading disabled on iCloud. So no one can get that picture of my penis... <_<
As I said, as far as I know the photos were stored locally and deleted. They had Photo Stream turned off. But they still had an iCloud connected phone, that allowed the leakers to hack into it and recover the deleted photos.
