I always found writing "scientifically" easier than my classmates seemed to do in high school, so I guess I'll do fine with that now in college.
Like, my classmates seemed to have the hardest time writing "it was done this way" instead of "we did it this way". 3527

There's been four of our ten in total freshman orientation days so far, or as it call it, "The Lambing". Gotland (the island I live on now) is known for it's sheep, or lambs as they are called here (lambs are called lamb kids... it's a little weird).
So the nickname for new students is lambs, and the older students are "herders" who guide us in the activities. It's been fun, but a bit tiring. I've also been to one lecture and one short intro, for two separate classes. We're supposed to have a seminar today, unless it turns into a lecture as it may be too early for us to do actual work or whatever. For seminars you're supposed to have studied, and not everyone has their books yet. 3529
Gaming / Re: So how come they only call the MC 'The Demon'« on: September 04, 2015, 12:25:14 AM »That I do not know.Neat, I didn't think of that. Some Sangheili can speak English, and do so by pressing their mandibles together to form "lips". The Arbiter is one example, I believe Jul M'dama is another. Why can the Covenant speak English, and why do they? Especially during battle?IIRC in Halos 2 & 3 the explanation was real-time translation provided by Chief's suit. In Halo 5 it's apparently to show that Jul M'dama is losing grip of his forces and they're protesting him by speaking the humans' language. 3530

Gaming / Re: So how come they only call the MC 'The Demon'« on: September 03, 2015, 02:26:38 AM »Sorry to break your bubble, but Demon was a collective term for Spartans. They all looked basically the same from Covenant perspective, and were collectively given the same term. But wasn't he reffered to as the Demon after the event's of Halo:CE? As in, he's the worst of the worst to them. 3537

Gaming / Re: Favorite CS:GO skin you have?« on: September 03, 2015, 01:41:45 AM »It's all based on supply and demand though, VALVe doesn't make the prices. The skins drop randomly by themselves or in cases (which can be unlocked with keys which also can be bought). Rarer skins naturally costs more as the supply is lower. Principle of the free market.wowexampleDo people really spend that much?Literally like TF2 hats but worse. At least you can see the gun skin yourself while playing. 3539

The Flood / Re: On the topic of GMO's« on: September 03, 2015, 12:48:21 AM »The thread isn't directed at you.I've never used this argument against GMOs. Computers aren't natural. Medicine isn't natural. It's not about eating natural, it's about not eating poison. There's nothing wrong with genetically modifying organisms, there's everything wrong with the additives that Monsanto puts into theirs. The argument isn't that GMOs are inherently good. They aren't. The argument is that they aren't inherently evil just because "they're not natural ", as some people think. |
