I agree, but you're really in no position to say that when you sucked as admin too.
I'm not saying this as a former admin, I'm saying it as a community member. I know i messed up at running the flood boards. I've owned up to it , which is why I've voiced my noninterest at being a moderator whenever I've seen someone say "hey maybe our old admin should have a mod position". With my failure as an admin I've learned how quickly things can go south, though. I don't want Cheat to repeat my mistakes.

Does it matter which word is the correct one? This makes the site look unprofessional and it makes you look lazy as fuck, which may affect how members view your suitability as a community admin.
And yeah, I get that's it's your website and all, but it's still a community and not a personal playground.
You're either:
A: lazy and perhaps should consider giving someone like say, LC, the necessary privileges to do your job for you.
B: not doing this out of some other reason, which would be even worse.
C: Not changing them because they're rotating sliders that show the last 4 major important announcements/events.
It's never rotated for me.
And let's say it does rotate, what's the point? Nobody cares about the last major events, we all remember them. We're not a huge site taking in tons of new members a day. Any new members we get leave immediately anyways.
Either way, whatever your reasoning is, there's absolutely no reason to be so vague and passive aggressive. It's comes off as if you're trying be like Achronos, but at least he had the excuse of there being an actual community manager. You've taken on the role of site admin and community manager, but you're honestly as bad as DeeJ in the community manager department.
I have plans to update the functionality of the banner so it does rotate on its own, but it will always be a rotating slider and not a banner.
Rotating slider or not, whatever is up there remains for months after it's ceased to be relevant.

Some banners stay for weeks after their relevance has passed, and this has become more of a rule rather than an exception.
As long as the default banner is stile in the site's file directory, it should literally take less than a minute to switch it out after the anarchy weekend, special community event or whatever is over.
As it is now it really makes the site look unprofessional and may turn away potential newcomers.
And turning away new people is the last thing this forum needs, with our levels of activity.
At the very least a forum member could be appointed to do this without any other privileges, if the admins have more important stuff to do.

Yeah, I mean we have a giant group of people working on it. There was a new video posted too. Also we're trying to take down the firewalls that were put on the flash drive, but that's not going too well as of right now. So we're just looking for patterns and trying to figure out who might have done this... or at least what their major is so we know who to network with. Also why. But the messages are cryptic af, so it's kind of difficult to find meaning in it.
If true, then good job. Someone clearly meant for this to be solved, so I think it's kind of selfish to just take the flash drives and bail.
