I'm quite sick to death of it, considering it's about as funny as Damn Daniel.

I'm quite sick to death of it,

What I want to know is what in the fuck are Nazis doing in a fucking Transformers film.

Probably the next time transformers influenced earth somehow that went unnoticed completely for no fucking reason
found an early plot description:

Quote
Optimus Prime finding his home planet, Cybertron, now a dead planet, which he comes to find he was responsible for killing. He finds a way to bring the planet back to life, but in order to do so he needs to find an artifact, and that artifact is on Earth .

okay so first of all
>Transformers 5

second of all
>Hitler HQ

what
either there's going to be yet another historical flashback tying into some mcguffin that we've never heard of earlier for some reason, or time travel

Not gonna lie, that is extremely disrespectful.
Maybe it's a parallell time line where Hitler conquered Great Britain ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The conversion of Winston Churchill’s former home into the swastika-draped headquarters of Adolf Hitler for a Transformers movie has been denounced by veterans’ groups and former military commanders.

Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, has been reimagined as the headquarters of the Nazi leader in The Last Knight, the fifth Transformers film, which is currently shooting.

The set-dressing includes enormous swastika flags, a variety of German military equipment and SS stormtroopers filling the forecourt.

“I know it’s a film,” Col Richard Kemp, ex-commander of British forces in Afghanistan, told the Sun. “but it’s symbolically disrespectful to Churchill. He will be turning in his grave.”

Churchill is buried around a mile away from the palace in Bladon. Tony Hayes, of Veterans Association UK, said he felt surviving ex-servicemen and women who fought in the second world war would be “appalled by this”.

The house, which is open to the public, is owned by a distant relative of Winston Churchill, Jamie Spencer-Churchill, the 12th duke of Marlborough.

The Last Knight, scheduled for release in June 2017, sees the return of Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci to the franchise. They are joined by Anthony Hopkins and Freya, an epileptic Staffordshire bull terrier once dubbed “Britain’s loneliest dog”.

Looks like Eichenwalde from Overwatch, I wonder if this was the inspiration. Is this in Stuttgart?

edit: looked it up, the proper name of the state would be Baden-Württemberg and not Stuttgart (which is the capital) but the castle is in Bayern / Bavaria which is the neighboring state.
Brah, you really don't recognize Neuschwanstein castle?
Why would I recognize a southern german castle that I have no relation to?
Shits am architectural marvel, bro?
So are a lot of buildings.

It's nice to have learnt about it, but just because something's impressive doesn't mean every person automatically knows it from birth.

Gaming / Re: 4K gaming. Does anyone care?
« on: September 22, 2016, 11:55:39 AM »
tbh 4k isn't that big of an improvement compared to the jump from SD to HD. with 1080p it felt like a revolution and people wanted in on it, with 4K it's just "that's neat I guess but it's too expensive still"
Spoiler

Seems like a pretty decent jump to me.
Technically it's a larger jump in quality, but when using a TV screen of average size, from a normal viewing distance, the difference isn't big enough to the naked eye to warrant an upgrade for most people.

And even if we talk about pure numbers only there's diminishing returns the higher up you go - though we haven't really reached that point yet. But actual quality isn't always the same as perceived quality.
