Can't say I'm a fan. Although, under a free-banking regime I suppose consumers could be given the option of holding gold-backed currencies.

That being said, George Selgin, a proponent of free banking, is still sceptical of the Gold Standard:
It's worth reading the entire thing.

On a social note, I agree that life essentially begins at conception.

I skimmed through the link and I noticed one thing: No mention of the 1970 (or 1971) act that fully eliminated the remainder of the gold standard. While it does mention the 1934 act of basically banning gold for civilian ownership, gold was still used as money backing till the 1970s. At that time our national debt numbered like $20B (rough estimate) due to being limited by the reserve of gold. Ever since then the debt has greatly risen to the current $17T because there's no limitation of the amount of money that can be printed. Basically we've been increasing inflation for the past 3+ decades and it'll only get worse, especially due to Iran not selling itself and oil to America. Oil is the only thing giving the dollar any value and we know oil is a non-renewable resource so it greatly explains American hostility and war-like nature in areas rich with oil
YouTube

Fun fact with this video: Around 1:50 mark, clip of Nixon is shown and he mentions Secretary Connally (John Connally); that's one of my distant cousins.....think 4th or 5th but nerveless I'm related to him

Anyway, the path to a gold standard would take time. It would involve maintaining a level budget yearly, pay off debt/interest and reduce spending to get back to a responsible level where the gold in existence can cover the money bills

Social - Right-Wing Libertarian.
I believe in the Libertarian philosophy of do as you please, as long as you don't hurt others but keep a right-wing belief on certain areas like abortion; abortion should be in cases of rape, incest, danger to mother's life, or the possibility of a child developing severe disabilities that would make it difficult for them to live a life (basically if they're going to be a vegetable). I believe in this because a zygote, fetus, etc. possess the traits of life and have 46 chromosomes and it's simply a human life and the  Libertarian ideology of  "as long as you don't hurt others" contradicts abortions without a good reason

I also support stronger restriction on government assistance and the refusal to nationalize health care like the right-wing promotes

Economic - Conservative. Although not too sure where I fall
This is complicated as conservative has varying meanings and being economically conservative can mean things like supporting Laissez-faire or the modern usage of mixed-market economies. In essence I support the removal of the Federal Reserve, the restitution of a gold/silver backed-economy (using paper money as a way to exchange for gold/silver), protectionism (placing the nation first by raising tariffs slightly while decreasing taxes for domestic-based corporations), and the current mixed-market economy where certain services, such as mail, is conducted by the government

Political - Libertarian/Conservative
I support the political standings of Ron Paul (although I support the gold standard) and Gary Johnson (although don't support his full stance on pro-life)

Well, I was surprised a few years back when I did my own research and found Lincoln didn't even care about freeing slaves and only resorted to it solely for strategic purposes by taking away a large amount of Southern productivity which would severely effect the the Confederate war effort. He also initially supported the idea of shipping the freed slaves back to Africa (Liberia I believe)

Not the man people try to make him all out to be but that's what happens when you let a small group of people control the education system

Texas and the Midwest have been done.
That's why I said expand. F:BoS has been stated as non-canon by Bethesda, though some elements don't contradict previous placed out lore. Another game could be made making correct canonical information.

I would give up your hopes of Fallout staying in America forever. Everyone from Todd Howard to Josh Sawyer to Chris Avellone have expressed interest in a Fallout in another country. There's only so much of America to explore and most of it has been by previous games.
There is PLENTY left to discover and expand on with multiple more setting in America. The Commonwealth/Institute, Midwest BoS, Texas BoS, and future of Legion and NCR, are small examples of what can happen with future games

Gaming / Re: Realistic Fallout 4 Predictions

The defense I give to the game being in other countries is when you look throughout the Fallout lore there are so many little hints about what's going on in other countries. There's a wide open door to explore those little hints. I only wish Fallout Extreme hadn't gotten cancelled.
And that is why DLC is made. Operation: Anchorage allowed us to experience part of the Great War and learn a bit of things outside of post-apocalyptic America without taking the main setting outside of America

Only if you care more about explosions and spectacle than a well-written game and gameworld. One that actually gives you things to think about instead of just going "LOOOOOL EXPLODING HEADS AND GORE LMAO WERE SO GOOD AT DARK HUMOR LOL!"

Even from a gameplay standpoint New Vegas is objectively superior.

The only people who prefer F3 are the ones for whom it was Babby's first fallout
You described the basis of New Vegas. F3, while having less side-quests and locations were made up in part of those side-quests and locations being far more memorable and meaning compared that to New Vegas.

Only thing I'll give New Vegas credit is the weapons (customization, large selection, unique skins), crafting, and factions (although it was pretty lack-luster based on the quests)

Fallout is also about survival and living in a wasteland. New Vegas took this feel away by having settlements and people close together along with ammo, clothing, weapons, aid, and food easier to find which also takes the challenge out of the game. Don't forget the ease of earning money takes away the challenge

Actually there is quite a bit of lore of things going on in other countries. I wouldn't be opposed to it taking place in another country.
Because the whole series literally is about America and more specifically the perception of the American public back in the 50s and 60s. Everything ranging from music, to the cheesy-style of adverts and consumer products, to the sci-fi of robotics is all American and the basis of Fallout.

Not taking place in America wouldn't be a Fallout game, it would be some spin-off game. It would be like if a Halo game was made all about the Interplanetary War. It wouldn't truly be Halo because Halo is about the story of Chief, the Covenant, and the Forerunners

I'm a lazy fucker

In NC you have to log 60 hours behind the wheel with your permit driving with an adult before you can get a license

That's a long fucking time in a car with my mom nagging at me with no way to filter her out, so for a long time I just didn't bother driving ever.

Even now I had to convince my mom to lie about how many hours I had done so I could get the fucking thing.
People actually spend the required hours driving? Top hue

I drove with my dad a few times, already knew how to drive, and just got him to randomly make the hours to turn it in
