Are people seriously hating on FDR? What the fuck is this shit.

Let's see:

He threw the ultimate hissy fit when the Supreme Court over-ruled major parts of his New Deal and tried to appoint 6 new judges to the Court. Talk about manipulating the separation of powers to be in your favor

He issued a decree CRIMINALIZING gold possession and forced people to turn over their gold. Talk about being authoritarian

He abolished civil rights of all Japanese-Americans

He was a racist and passed policies that hurt blacks. His minimum wage laws caused thousands of blacks to loose their jobs in the south an made it compulasory to join labor unions in major industries, which were biased on skin color. He also told Churchill "Those places are inhabited by some 8 million dark-skinned gentlemen and I don’t want them coming to the United States and adding to the problem we already have with our 13 million black men. I tell you, Winston, it’s just a headache and you can keep it”, in regards using military bases in the Caribbean

People should not take the Bible literally for a multitude of reasons.
But then wouldn't people stop believing in God?
Yeah, no

You don't need to conform your beliefs by reading a book. All you need to do to be Christian is to accept God and Jesus Christ as your savior, along with being a decent person and not purposely do bad things. I don't read the Bible, I don't go to church, and I don't pray as much but I know I'm still a Christian. All that stuff is just extra people think they need to do
People wouldn't think God existed if the Bible didn't say so.
Well the Bible, more or less the New Testament, wasn't written when Jesus lived nor was it written right after he died, instead was written around 100 A.D and there were plenty of Christians before the New Testament was ever established.

You're also forgetting that Jews believe in the same God as Christians, they just don't believe Jesus to be the Messiah (God's son/Human incarnation of God). It's the same with the Muslims. It's evident that people have held beliefs in God since 1300 B.C with the establishment of Judaism

What I'm saying is that it's not necessary to read the Bible nor do we need to take it with every grain of salt. Take the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah as an example, there's debate if they ever existed but it can inferred that the cities are metaphors used to represent vice and sodomy

Well, I do have this adopted cousin who's pretty hot. We're not blood related or anything and she's half black. But no fapping

No different than people saying their step-mom or step-sister is hot

http://www.godandscience.org/youngearth/age_of_the_earth.html

The Bible makes NO mention that the earth is between 6,000-10,000 years old and people who believe it are complete idiots. People should not take the Bible literally for a multitude of reasons. Namely is that it's gone through multiple translations and changes, it's based on oral stories passed down, and written by humans and used only what they had knowledge of at the time

Now, if we're going to pretend the claim is true then it has to be taken that Adam and Eve had children after leaving the Garden of Eden and didn't have access to the amount of food, meaning breast feeding would happen longer. Because breast feeding is a natural type of birth control, pregnancy would occur less until agriculture was established which led to a surplus of food and the ability of young children to stop breast feeding at an early rate, causing for more pregnancies.

So it's very possible that the population could be the way it is, especially since later on in humanity people begin to have large families for many centuries up till the 20th century

Turtle Beaches?

Literally I only use the standard headsets that come with my system. My original headset that came with my Arcade back in 07 and got some Halo 4 Trittons for Christmas. They broke some how and replaced them with some cheap Turtle Beaches. Don't see the differences between the two

Oh, you can use the shields in the actual game? Huh. I do not think my old account is Mythic anymore, it got banned once. It would be nice if we actually still had titlebars there so I could check.
Here ya go. Would have linked you to your account but don't know the spelling of it :c

The only way the gold standard played a role is that nations suspended it so they can produce more money than they could back with gold. If they were to revert back then their economy would have tanked; that's why a system like gold is the best way to prevent a cloud 9 type of deal where people think they're prosperous when reality is that they are not.

On the other hand, America kept it's gold standard during WWI, which led to an economic boom straight afterwards

But the Great Depression was due in part of Germany's $10B debt it owed the allies. The allies were dependent on Germany to pay them back and when they tried to pay them back, they resorted to printing money which led to inflation and bombed the world economy
You started well. The reason the nations suspended the gold standard was because they realised the supply of money was constricted relative to the demand, and suspending the gold standard allowed them inject liquidity into the financial system. It's no surprise that countries recovered pretty much in the order that they suspended the gold standard.

Also, gold is not the best system to back money with. Not only is it politically unfeasible, we wouldn't get back many of the benefits from it. There's a big danger it could lead to some pretty horrible deflation.

Germany's hyperinflation didn't bomb the world economy, at all. The central bankers just failed to respond to the loss of liquidity and declining NGDP.

You can limit the monetary regime without a gold standard.

Take away right-wing meaning and you get a pretty accurate depiction of economics. Everybody, including economists, will have a different opinion and what they think is right. I obviously see the gold standard is good and you think it won't work so really, arguing about it is kinda redundant
