This is why Cops shouldn't be trained to use their guns first.
So one instance of an idiot means it's an instance of all cops? lolno
As far as I know, pretty much everywhere in the US cops are trained in hand2hand for a couple weeks at the beginning of their career, and nothing really at all after that. Meanwhile, they will continue to go to the range every couple weeks at least. Which are they more likely to use?

Distance is key in law enforcement. If a cop has the chance to not get up close then they won't and if they do have to get up close, they'll keep their hand rested on their holster in case a person tries to reach for their gun or attempt to stab them

Voting=/=being a state

D.C citizens have the ability to vote. They just don't have the ability to elect Senators (since they are not a state) and House Reps. can't vote (same as above, but they however have the ability to talk and debate like everybody else......I assume)

Great. So they have zero representation in the affairs of the nation, as their elected officials have zero power.

Again. Fuck the voters.

It's federal enclave. If you're going to live in a place that's under U.S control but is not a state then you're not going to be able to do certain things. That's how it works

So, let's punish a person for where they live. I mean, if they have a job in DC and that's the only place they can live for whatever reason...fuck them!

Quote
Besides, of the 600K that live there, how many of them are actual citizens? I would imagine many being citizens of a state but just living their for work

The number is so small, so fuck them!
Guess what, it's the law. Laws don't have to make sense either. And D.C has a high cost of living meaning if a person lives there then they can easily move a few miles away into Virginia or Maryland and become register voters there

Article I
Section 2.

The House of Representatives shall be composed of members chosen every second year by the people of the several STATES and the electors in each STATE shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the STATE legislature.

Section 3.

The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each STATE, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.

District of Columbia=/=State

Well the Federal government needs a place to run operation. Only place is on land that's not part of a state. It creates an unfair advantage in politics and shows the federal government favoring one state when this is a nation based on equality if it were operating in a state

So, fuck the voters who live there.

The US Constitution vests the Congress with the sole power to create and administer the capital in Section 8:

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;

The idea was to avoid making the US capital the pawn of any one state or the subject of any state's laws.

The U.S. Constitution requires that any new states formed from an existing state receive permission from the legislature. Since Maryland granted land to form the national capital and not a new state, some lawmakers have concluded that Maryland must also consent to the new state

Thanks for sharing something we all know.

He's not a cop anymore. He's an inmate waiting on trial

My teacher, who is a former cop, showed us this today and just tore this idiot to shreds. There's so many retarded mistakes in this that shows how the hell did he even make it past the academy.

First off, his cruiser isn't even at an angel that would have given him sufficient cover if he had needed it

Second off, he either has to have a speedy hand or his gun was out of the holster to be able to fire immediately after the guy went back inside the car

Third, the cop did not establish distance between himself and the driver

Fourth, he's hitting everything but the guy

Fifth, this is at a damn gas station. Luckily enough a bullet didn't hit a pump and cause a fire

Sixth, there's a van at the pumps. Whose typically in mini-vans? children

In 10th grade I had to write an essay about one of my summer books, I didn't read it and instead got all the info I need off the back of the book. I got an A on it too. That's the only time I've ever done something like that too, made me feel unclean.
Holy shit that's hilarious. What book was it?

T4R

I have three summary essays on primary sources due tomorrow and only started yesterday. 3/4 down with my second and need to pick a third one. I'm doing the Code of Hammurabi and part of The Exodus from the Torah, although I went into detail with it >.> Might do my third on an excerpt from the Analects

Will post them after I submit them online for plagiarism later on if anybody is interested

Just read that a few hours ago. Fucking lol. When will America finally cut Israel loose? They've been a thorn in our side for way too goddamn long.
That's very untrue. Israel is America's greatest asset in the world.
I find the Israeli lobby in DC and us always backing Israel during the monthly bullshit with Gaza, whether they're in the right or wrong, to be more damaging to America than anything else. I think we should start taking a more neutral position on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
D-did you just say something highly intelligent?
