Serious / Re: Is Education a Fundamental Right?
« on: November 20, 2014, 10:38:55 AM »
Yes

But like Meta said, rights=/=government having to provide them. I'd much rather have my future children attend private school or be home schooled due to the atrocity of public education. What makes education a right wthout government providing it is that we don't have laws that ban females from getting an education, like in the Middle-East

Childhood not ruined because the movie was boring anyway.
I can't blame you. I wasn't too entertained either. I'm not one for all those magical fantasy aime universes. I like alternate realities/timelines, post-apocalyptic universes, and things of that sort.
Depressing.
Yeah I know. But I like it. I don't like it when everything is so well off for the main characters. This is one of the reasons why I don't like LoK. I like shit happening and people dying. I want a movie that can make me feel depressed and sad. If you watch an anime and don't feel emotion of any kind, you are not watching the right anime
Well...at least the Fallout, Mad Max, Fist of the North Star, Half-Life and Density universes are immune to Chakasnization.
Fallout is really a Vault 112 virtual reality simulation. Like in the lore, Vault 112 was sealed early so every game we play as a different vault dweller in a post-apocalyptic world that has been constructed from the experiences of other Dwellers (reason why Shady Sands grows into NCR). In reality though, the Great War never actually happened as energy and microfusion cells were mass produced in quick enough time to provide an alternate energy source
That's actually a nicer and happier thing because the war never happened. So...
Oh, and the aliens from Mothership Zeta invaded and feasted on the entrails of humans

Stay informed of the issues affecting your community.

Participate in the democratic process.

Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws.

Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.

Participate in your local community.

Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to federal, state, and local authorities.

Serve on a jury when called upon.

Defend the country if the need should arise.

rac·ism
ˈrāˌsizəm/Submit
noun
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

Not, it's not racist because this isn't a song made by a bunch of in-breed KKK neo-nazis spewing "WHITE POWER" like a bunch of mongoloid idiots

I die laughing whenever black comedians like Chris Rock make jokes about white people. It's hilarious because 90% of time I'm like uhhhh.......well shit, he's right lol"

Customers have used Wal-Mart's price-matching promotional in order to purchase $400 PlayStation 4 consoles for a fraction of the retail price using third-party sellers on Amazon.com, CNBC reports.

Earlier this month, the retailer announced it would begin a price-match promotion with select online retailers including Amazon; However, the website allows any Amazon user with a registered selling account to create authentic-looking sales pages.

As a result, a number of Wal-Mart customers have posted images to Twitter and Reddit showing receipts confirming Wal-Mart accepted fake Amazon listings.

"LMAO Amazon and Walmart jig just got ps4 for $97," reads a tweet from Twitter user Tahaa8, alongside an image of a receipt.

"We're committed to providing low prices every day, on everything," reads Wal-Mart's online price match policy. "So if you find a current lower online price from an online retailer on an identical, in-stock product, tell us and we'll match it."

Better hop on this shit fast before Wal-Mart realizes it

Someone fell down robbing a beach home and they were able to sue the home owners, and win. Like, what then hell.
I fucking hate this shit

I have an uncle who owns a good 4 or 5 acres out in Mississipi that he lives and hunts on. One day he was out sighting in his rifles for hunting season or just outing hunting (can't remember), either way he fired his gun and the bullet entered inside a shack he has and injured a guy that was illegally on the land and poaching. So what does the scumbag do? Sue my uncle

Stand Your Ground laws need to be universal and the removal of the  duty to retreat requirement in Castle Doctrines needs to happen ASAP

SYG Law: an individual has no duty to retreat from any place they have lawful right to be and may use any level of force, including lethal, if they reasonably believe they face an imminent and immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death.

http://countercurrentnews.com/2014/11/rap-artist-with-no-criminal-record-faces-life-in-prison-for-album-lyrics/#

Quote
The state of California has decided that freedom of speech is a privilege, not a right. Apparently, prosecutors believe that writing lyrics about crime is a crime itself – and one punishable by a life sentence in prison.

Brandon Duncan, also known as Tiny Doo, is in fact heading to trial, as a judge decided that there is legal grounds for prosecuting the man for his lyrics.

“We’re not just talking about a CD of anything, of love songs. We’re talking about a CD (cover) … there is a revolver with bullets,” Deputy District Attorney Anthony Campagna said, justifying his unConstitutional prosecution of the musician.

Duncan is charged with “gang conspiracy” because his “gang gained in status” from crimes, and this – prosecutors argue – allowed him to “sell more albums.”

This refers to a bizarre law voted into effect back in 2000 that has never been used in court until now. That law, California Penal Code Section PC186.22(b)(1), says:

“Any person who is convicted of a felony committed for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with any criminal street gang, with the specific intent to promote, further, or assist in any criminal conduct by gang members, shall, upon conviction of that felony, in addition and consecutive to the punishment prescribed for the felony or attempted felony of which he or she has been convicted…”

“It’s shocking. He has no criminal record. Nothing in his lyrics say go out and commit a crime. Nothing in his lyrics reference these shootings, yet they are holding him liable for conspiracy. There are huge constitutional issues,” Brian Watkins, Duncan’s attorney, said of the case.

I fucking hate rap, but come on. Speech is now a privilege?

Locke said those were Hunter worms (Lekgolo). Also makes sense because they are orange/orange blood and can form together to form certain assemblages (like how they turned into horses)

Wasn't reversed engineered from doing some reading. The extreme heat of the Autumn's explosion, comparable to temperatures produced by a supernova, caused the formation of an entirely new element in a small area of the fragment—one not found elsewhere in the universe.

I'm sure the Lekgolo were able to survive the harsh conditions of the remnant ring. It's just inhospitable for humans

The market is to be thanked though. OPEC nations are basically fighting an economic battle and are under cutting each other which has led to a decrease in gas prices. Whether or not it will stay, I have no clue but it would be smart to keep low prices; I've seen far more people at the pumps in the recent weeks as gas around here is around $2.60 a gallon so these companies are defiantly raking in the money. The increase of people buying gas also means they're getting out of the house more and most likely are shopping, which is always a big plus for the economy and right around before the holiday shopping season begins

Kinder, we can keep going around in circles all night, but I actually have shit to do for the website and college. So, I'm going to leave you some links for you to read and hopefully educate yourself.

Or, you can just skim them and claim liberal bias. Whichever makes you feel better.

Let me share some - first, on the border's budget (On the increase) versus Number of people caught

Roughly, it's costing taxpayers 10,000 dollars for every capture of an illegal. 10,000 dollars for every single capture. That is a huge waste of money that could be saved with a reformed system.

Now, let's look at those who attempt to come here legally, by the system that you say is fine but only needs to be enforced.

Quote
Until the early 1990s, less than 3 percent of petitions for naturalization were denied annually. Since then, denials have become much more common.

It's become harder to get naturalized, peaking in the year 2000, as shown below.

This image shows the number of people getting green cards, and why:

Quote
The vast majority of people who obtain permanent residency — "green cards" — are relatives of U.S. citizens. Since at most 7 percent of green cards can legally come from a single country, it's difficult for skilled professionals with no ties to the U.S. to get permanent residency

This makes it difficult for people to legally immigrate here if they do not have family here already. Hence, people resort to illegally coming because they have little option.

As a result, the nation is having trouble getting high skilled workers into the U.S. The L-1B visa allows companies to bring people with "specialized knowledge" like engineers and programmers into the U.S. Denial rates have jumped since the 1990s, as shown in this chart.

What that nifty chart doesn't show is how the BP has it's money
http://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/documents/BP%20Budget%20History%201990-2013.pdf
In 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007. and 2011, money from the previous budget was rolled over into the following year's, increasing the budget/creating a surplus essentially. Alternately, your chart only goes up to 2010; mine shows that the budget has been decreasing since 2010

You also realize border control has other costs including pay checks, health plan/dental plans, sick pay, training costs, upkeep, utilities, and many other things. So I seriously doubt, in fact know, the cost to arrest an illegal is not close to $10k

Yet explain to me how the DoHS shows more people are being deported annually? By this, the cost of of arrest decreases even more

You realize that you don't need to be naturalized in order to legally be in the U.S, correct? That's why we have green cards and other official documents to allow for legal residence

Again, another chart that contradicts yours and shows less petitions have been declined from 2008 to 2011.

There's plenty of factors that contribute to a decrease in less people obtaining legal status. The need for labor has also switched from skilled to less-skilled such as hotel workers, food plant workers, freight, construction etc. You also have corporations that outsource to other countries where they hired skill workers on the spot. But the current economic situation in America makes people realize that there's less of a chance to find a job here so they of course will second-guess coming

Also, only direct family members can get green cards through other family members (spouses, children, and parents)

Denials have increased, but because of actual concerning issues. The government has increased screening of so-called skill workers applying including Requests of Evidence, financial records of companies to prove they are a viable organization. Alternatively, most of these come from Indian workers, not Mexican

Question before I waste any of my time - source for the images, or did you just go to Google?

You would have to hire people to build the wall. You would also have to hire people to maintain the wall, patrol, etc. So you're actually creating jobs with such a plan that won't be a temporary thing
I'm happy to inform you that the broken window fallacy is one thing economists are pretty much unanimous on. You should definitely read and realise how you're assertion isn't correct.

Your plan wouldn't be as bad, though, if we hired immigrants to build the wall and allowed them to boost AD. Oh, but wait, that would imply that spending increase by anyone could increase nominal income. . . Could that be????!!!111??
Well they would have to be legal immigrants (who I have no problem with) because government can't hire illegals
