Best form of rape prevention right here. I'd make sure if I ever have a daughter, she'd get one before going off to college

Great. And for the people who don't want to carry a gun everywhere?

That will get the point across (pun intended)
I'm not even going to bother trying to have a discussion with you on the subject...
Because my suggestions are "too violent"? Do you think rapists and molesters care about violence? That's how they commit these acts. We can sit and talk things out and pass out whistles but that won't do jack shit. Pull a gun out and the soon to be rapists will ahve his ass raped from the shit he spouts out of his ass when coming face-to-face with the barrel of a .45ACP

you can't carry on most campuses
You can't have pot or alcohol on most campuses I'd rather much have my daughter be expelled because she defended herself than having to be raped and go through the psychological trauma of it

inb4 arm the teachers!
Why shouldn't we?
If you have not noticed, people target schools because they are gun free, meaning nobody will be able to stop them before they do some damage. When was the last time you ever heard about a person shooting up a gun show? Never. Know why? Because there are guns everywhere
It's interesting how we protect our sports stadiums, government building, monuments, hospitals, banks, airports, airplanes, and plenty of other things with armed security yet for some reason we can't do the same for our children
I wasn't aware politicians, sports players, lawyers, doctors, nurses, secretaries, pilots, hostess, bankers, janitors and caretakers all walk around packing.
Many actually do. Many also have the reliance of either police forces, federal marshalls, or private security all armed with guns
Public school funding is already bare-bones. Who is going to pay for armed security? Will teachers be compensated for carrying a firearm on campus due to increased responsibility and risk? Will they have to take firearm safety and training courses at regular intervals? Can they bring their own firearm or will the school issue them one?
This is where the magic of volunteering takes place and working with several branches of government and different organizations takes place You can compensate teachers and faculty by transitioning budget from DoH and DoD into a payment fund or simply let these teachers, or even retired military and police, come and volunteer to protect the schools. Hell, ask the NRA to help compensate since many are big on this concept So how do you decide who can be armed? Work with either, or both, local police departments and the NRA again to set up training clinics where these people go through a modified and more intense version of a CCW class, where they learn proper maintenance, handling, and functionality of a firearm. They will also learn how to handle active-shooter situations like many police departments are currently training for. So effectively, these volunteers come out with the know-how and training at a lower level than what police go through but higher levels than what ordinary civilians can have Everybody who completes this course will gain an official government certification that must be renewed each school year. And again, government can purchase firearms with money from DoH since this is more in their scope of control as an agency So after all of this, we let the public know "Hey! Our schools have at least one armed person here at all times but they function like U.S Marshalls and only the school board and principals know who this person is"

http://www.bizpacreview.com/2014/08/02/dems-cry-obstructionists-while-house-passed-over-350-bills-that-sit-on-harry-reids-desk-136037
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed 356 bills that are languishing in the Senate Want to trey again? Typical for Democrats to blame everybody else and take not responsibility. They all cried to their mommies when Republicans blame Democrats but have no issue turning the tables
And every time the House passes a bill, it's either shot down in the Senate or vetoed by the president.
So, are we going to detail what bills the Republicans passed that the Senate isn't taking up? Because around 50 of them are the "OH MY GOD OBAMACARE IS EVIL REPEAL IT" bullshit.
There's a reason the bills don't get taken up - lack of support, lack of necessity, or the sheer fact that there are fifty of the same bill piling up because Republicans cannot get it through their head that they aren't repealing a law.
So, Kinder, if you want to continue talking about stalled bills in Congress, make your own thread. You are not derailing my thread in order to try and act intelligent and prove a point for something that does not relate to the topic of this thread whatsoever, aside from one single border security bill that is stalled.
Let me get this straight, you bring up one bill sitting around yet I bring up over 300 bills yet somehow that doesn't matter? Yeah, alright you've made me laugh; I'm done with this thread now

And how do you expect Congress to do anything when Obama keeps passing E.Os and not playing ball with them?
...Because Congress has a job to pass laws. That's what they are elected to do, but guess what? This Congress has been one of the worst at actually doing their damn job.
The House is currently sitting on a bill, already passed by the Senate, that would increase funding to the southern border, along with security improvements. While, again, it's better to actually fix the system instead of funneling money into something that is fundamentally broken, this is just an example of Congress doing nothing, and then complaining and throwing a hissy fit when Obama does something.
Obama has said to Congress that if they don't like his EO's, to pass laws to fix the various problems his orders are tackling. They choose not to. They are at fault.

In case someone wants a laugh on this Thursday -
Is Obama a President or King?
lol
Y'know, I see everyone talking about how Obama doesn't give a fuck about the Constitution, abusing his powers, etc.
If it's so obvious to even the layman that what he is doing is wrong, why hasn't he been removed from office yet? He's been at it for 6 years.
Not all E.Os=Unconstitutional
E.Os must have a Constitutional standing. Besides, Republicans will deny it but they rather much have Obama in officer than Biden when it comes down to it
Congress is more than welcome to pass laws to fix the problem, saving Obama from having to use executive orders. Of course, that would require Congress to do something....
Sorry, the House to do something.

And there's no issue with that
There is if that's all children are taught.
Now that's a huge generalization and misconception 6% of the U.S population (18,966,000) are non-religious, so there will be parents who won't teach creationism or will discuss it as part of evolution, if they are open enough http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/10/30/5-facts-about-evolution-and-religion/ 60% of U.S adults have also agreed that life has changed over time Only group you have to worry about are white/black protestants 69,436,660 of people are also Catholic and Catholics are not all that against to evolution and actually accept it. 1/3 of Catholics are also Hispanic, making that number 23,145,553 Hispanic Catholics that support evolution: 46% (10,646,954) White Catholics that support evolution: 66% (21,293,909)

I'd much rather have my future children attend private school or be home schooled due to the atrocity of public education.
Should private/home schools be able to teach the children whatever they wish?
They still have to abide by a curriculum established by the state/city, so they can't just teach about the great flying spaghetti monster saving the wrld from the evils of the cabbage and brocoli coalition. But as long as these expectations are met, I have no issue with courses being devoted to subjects like religion
Moreso the idea that people would teach their kids creationism.
And there's no issue with that

Yes
But like Meta said, rights=/=government having to provide them. I'd much rather have my future children attend private school or be home schooled due to the atrocity of public education. What makes education a right wthout government providing it is that we don't have laws that ban females from getting an education, like in the Middle-East

Childhood not ruined because the movie was boring anyway.
I can't blame you. I wasn't too entertained either. I'm not one for all those magical fantasy aime universes. I like alternate realities/timelines, post-apocalyptic universes, and things of that sort.
Depressing.
Yeah I know. But I like it. I don't like it when everything is so well off for the main characters. This is one of the reasons why I don't like LoK. I like shit happening and people dying. I want a movie that can make me feel depressed and sad. If you watch an anime and don't feel emotion of any kind, you are not watching the right anime
Well...at least the Fallout, Mad Max, Fist of the North Star, Half-Life and Density universes are immune to Chakasnization.
Fallout is really a Vault 112 virtual reality simulation. Like in the lore, Vault 112 was sealed early so every game we play as a different vault dweller in a post-apocalyptic world that has been constructed from the experiences of other Dwellers (reason why Shady Sands grows into NCR). In reality though, the Great War never actually happened as energy and microfusion cells were mass produced in quick enough time to provide an alternate energy source
That's actually a nicer and happier thing because the war never happened. So...
Oh, and the aliens from Mothership Zeta invaded and feasted on the entrails of humans
