People who choose punishment over rehabilitation are petty, morally insane and, most reprehensibly, idiotic.
I don't care for such people.
For the ones who didn't murder, I am all for some rehabilitation. Just grinds my gear they get more stuff given to them, than the average, honest and hard working citizens. Their Health care is free and better than ours too.. :/
What about rapists? Child molestors? Kiddie porn makers?

No, but I do believe it's in the government's interest to offer student loans at 0%.
Now that's a good idea

Hell no
If you are a college student you know the cruel reality: it is pretty dang expensive.
An entire year, 2 semesters, is a bit more than $4,000 at my college. People who pay $20,000+ a semester are idiots
And how many government subsidized grants are you taking again?
None
I did jump the gun with my initial response, but their are people who either drop out or fail courses because they party. People already think college is just a 4-year party and this will make it worse
Okay, now, are just talking tuition costs here? How accredited is the school? Are you solely taking the minimum courses for the required credits for your (what I assume is a) two year degree?
You directing the questions to my schooling?
My school is VERY accredited, it's the 2nd biggest community college in the state of Virginia and has articulation agreements with American University, George Mason University, James Madison University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion, University of Maryland University College, University of Virginia, and Virginia Wesleyan College, and a few others
My degree program is 66 credit hours and have only taken courses that are on my degree plan; I'll probably pay out-of-pocket for other courses like firearms and marksmanship
You want to do police work right?
Yes I will say having a 2-year degree and wanting to work in local government is the best way to make an impression and get hired. Taking a simple 100 level course has gave me more knowledge than like 80% of officers on the streets, meaning I know more about the law and pose a less litigation risk for the department. On top of that, pay is like an extra $5k a year with a degree

You do realize there are people who don't have $4k a year, correct?
And that many careers are beginning to shun 2 year degrees, because there are so many more people with them?
and a $4k loan is far more easier to manage than a $50k loan. And on top of that, a 2 year degree pays more than any other degree as per a study done Georgetown Center on Education and the Workforce http://cew.georgetown.edu/collegepayoff/. That loan will be paid off in the manner of a couple of years and the person can gradually work up to a higher degree if they wish to do so, as they have a better income to afford it That's higher education in general; we live in a bloated market with a majority having a degree but nobody is hiring them. It has some part in people not wanting to be flexible, but it shows how much a scam degrees really are, as 20 years ago you didn't need a degree for what you have to do now. More emphasis should be placed on trade schools, rather than 4-year colleges

"unending war between remnants of the empire and the republic"
...huh? war? how much of a threat can they really be after return of the jedi?...
Still a very major threat. All they lost was their supreme leader, and it doesn't need much effort to have the top military general/admiral to take command. The Empire was also encompasses trillions of personnel and with it, worlds and resources to maintain a size-able control

Please bring back Damavand Peak and Isla Innocentes. We need more good Rush maps.
Is rush as unpopular on consoles as it is on PC? I think DICE is reluctant, because BF4's rush implementation was pretty sloppy, and the community prefers conquest because of it.
I prefer Rush on last-gen consoles, especially Bad Company titles. Lack of 32v32 gave Rush a better feel

They're people. Rehabilitation is far better than going to a shithole then coming out and living the same lifestyle.
Too fucking bad. People are responsible for their actions, nobody else. These same people, no matter how much rehab they will go through, will continue their path of being a career criminal
I didn't. Stop acting like you know everything about criminology just because you're a freshman at a school studying it.
Ancedotal; Studies show a large portion of former prisoners get rearrested again, one by the BJS showing a staggering 67% http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/rpr94.pdfSophomore, thank-you very much

but I don't see all torture being bad
Care to give an example where it's not bad?
Dealing with terrorists; hostile foreigners actively in war against the U.S. What the Japs did in WW2 though is on the side of excessive

This is what happens when you give an agency the power of discretion from the rest of the government: but I don't see all torture being bad
