you raise a fair point

it's a decent action-rpg with a great open world, but I don't like it that much honestly. I want a stealth game not another big open world rpg-lite. I miss the information gathering and growing to know your target before killing them. They went quantity over quality in terms of quests, and the main story really suffers from that. Very rushed beginning and ending with a good middle. It barely even covers a lot of the aspects of the assassins as an origins too which is a shame.

They claimed you could play however you wanted, but that's only really true if you want to fight everyone. If you try and stealth it constantly takes you out of it with lame incredible hulk looking dudes that can't be assassinated, so many boring boss battles.

I really want to like it more, but I just prefer a more AC1 / Unity style game rather than horse riding fetch quest dark souls witcher wanabe. At least it got an appropriate dev cycle and didn't get slammed out of the gate, so there is a nice level of extra polish and little touches. But ultimately I just found the game frustrating , 'cause all the times I could've been assassinating some important dude with a setup and payoff, I was instead fighting a giant elephant or helping pointless npc #85 that I would never see again
