I'm guessing the pvp is worse for you do to you being Australian, right? Cause I have little to none problems lagwise.
I'm guessing that's the issue, despite being able to turn cross regional play off. Though I'm betting there isn't actually any servers over here so its a moot point. Only the host can open the door so he was my prisoner, so I was periodically checking on him. Though eventually it just summoned another one and I got team killed. If I can't fight them I might see how many phantoms I can knock into that hole hah

Can someone explain the fun of the pvp because as far as I can tell it's just getting killed by phantom hits and invading into 3 v 1 situations
Phantom hits are something you just kind of have to get used to. Treat every weapon like it has one and a half times its actual length. You also have to sort of make sure your own hits are well predicted almost perfectly on point too, since sometimes the lag makes it look like people are rolling out of clear hits. One thing to know is that allot of the R1 Combo's can now be parried out of their second or third hit because of this game's mechanics.
I haven't been ganked often so I don't know what to tell you about it, although Iv'e been seeing a youtube video on countering gankers popping up in my feed. I'll try too see if it's any good and post it.

Yeah, Dark Souls has never had a good netcode. You kind of have to expect it somewhat and hope to God you get a decent enough opponent that this doesn't happen. The McDonald's Wi-Fi Covenant will always be far more overpowered than any hacker.
Well that's basically every one of my invasions so far. And I've done about 15 of them and only 2 were 1v1. One summoned me right in the middle of the host, a white phantom and 2 blue phantoms which was nice

How are those B1 battle droids you got? I've heard that Sideshow's droids are pretty awesome. It's a shame they've shifted their focus to major characters from the saga; I've heard from the guys at Sideshow Collectors that droids and aliens were always Sideshow's strong suit.
I don't even like the prequels and I'd love to have a couple battle droids on my desk.
Pretty nice actually, they're more stable and less flimsy than Grievous hah. Don't even need a stand. My only real complaint is it's a bit fiddly to get them to hold their gun.
Cool! Aside from them and Grievous, what other figures do you have?
I have the SSC 1/6 scale Vader, the Hot Toys Kylo Ren, Snowtrooper Officer, Spacetrooper Celebration IV exclusive, and finally, the Fett arriving on Wednesday.
Oh well besides the 2 droids & Grievous I only got the SSC 1/6 Commander Fox.

I was having that issue too, I just turned off all the auto lock on options in the settings and then it was fine

DS3 PVP is already pretty laggy as it is, so it might not be that much worse for you. It feels pretty different from DS1 and DS2 with there being a lot of phantom range even in good connection fights and noticeable delay between every attack actually hitting and registering.

I started with the show but then went and read all the books. I think the first few seasons were a pretty good adaption but now they're just getting weird with their decisions.

Nah I got it, I just double checked. That's the only Solaire item you can pick up as normal loot, from the Farron swamp, so that's probably your one. But thanks for checking
