Did EA give a time of release? I want to download it!

Hmm, well for the past four DLCs I've been able to download it via the PS Store at about 11am GMT. I'm not sure what sort of time it will release for yanks though <.< Or those on the X1 :[
Matchmaking goes down in 20 minutes for an hour so EA can do maintenance for the Final Stand DLC.

I expect it'll be released in 20 minutes.
Hmm, I'll take a look then but I don't expect it to be available for a few hours at least <.<

I just turned my Xbox on with the hopes of having it DL while I'm
At school, but nothing. If I remember correctly, DT came out around 11-1ish.

The Elite looks stupid, but that cutscene looks a hell of a lot better than the others I saw.

Why did they change the Scarabs?
It's canon that the types seen in H2 and H3 are different.

They haven't changed the Scarab. They did a redesign on te original H2 in the same way as everything else, but that isn't a Type-47 in Halo 2.
This.

As someone who constantly shits on 343i art design, trust me when I say they actually did a really great job with the Scarab here.

Yeah. I feel everything apart from the Forerunners is overstylised, especially the Covenant, but the Halo 2 stuff looks pretty cool. I liked Reach's art direction the most. Got that utalitarian feel for the UNSC while keeping that awesome halo look for their gear and the Covies were undoubtly their best yet.

Is it free or just discounted? It doesn't even show up on my dashboard and it's $20 on xbox.com.

Free.

Where do you go to download it? It's not under GwG on my dashboard.

Are you on XB1 or 360? It's only on 360, but it's underneath the ACrogue thing on the right.

I really want to know who the hell Locke is, and why would he be hunting John? He saved Earth at the end of Halo 4, and on multiple occasions before that, so why would the UNSC send a Spartan to hunt him down? Did he go rogue after losing Cortana or some shit?

At the end of Escalation #10, we see a conversation between two ONI officers noting that John is refusing orders to take R&R, constantly accepting missions. He's not had a break outside a mission since before Reach, so what amounts to several months of combat- Including losing pretty much everyone he has ever cared for (Fellow Spartans, Cortana, Believed Halsey) as well as the trauma of the Flood (Stated to be the one thing he is truly terrified of) and Didact is going to leave some kind of psychological mark. On top of this, 343 has commented that the cloak in the E3 2013 is partially to hide, and with the man/machine thematic they're adopting, it is very easy to see from John's view point that all his life he has been a piece of equipment to the UNSC, a tool to use rather than a person. After over 40 years, he wants answers- and with the situation how it is with multiple factions all gearing up to head back into the fray leading to the penultimate return of the Floodcursors- it is essentially down to him to find Mendicant Bias, the only one who truly knows how to stop the Flood, and unite a galaxy poised on the edge of another brutal war.

Here's what I think:

- 343 Industries hired one of the project leads for Republic Commando to work on Halo 5: Guardians. If you recall, Republic Commando has some of those most smexy squad controls for an FPS.

- Blue Team was last seen with John, so they are likely AWOL with him.

- Doctor Halsey, if truly on the Storm Covenant's side, would be helping Jul Mandama find Forerunner relics

- Locke and his group of Spartans are hunting down Chief with the aid of the Arbiter and his Elites.

- Most likely we'll be able to use Squad commands with Blue Team/Spartan VI's/Arbiter's Elites, which is awesome. Last thing I want is Noble team AI for Blue Team.

I think in John's search, he'll run into Doctor Halsey. I think if Locke ends up actually trying to kill Chief, Arby will take Chief's side, which then means now all a good portion of Elites are now against the UNSC for some drama. Then Didact or some shit.

I'll shoot.

I'm pretty much active everyday, and British which could help with any timezone issues. I'm (hopefully) considered by most to be capable of seriousness and responsibility when required, and spend most of my time knocking around the Serious board, which seems to be most in need of having threads moved >.> I've also got a clean record of no warnings/bans.

But, shit, you guys know me better than I know myself. I enjoy the discussion, and am willing to accept a degree of responsibility and authority on a forum I enjoy using a lot. Plus, it'd quench my insatiable lust for power and defuse any future Metalutions I might launch >.>

But hey, you're the boss. I'll leave it to you.
Actually I support this.
