Capone
C
I really liked it. Some inconsistencies here and there but nowhere near what the extremely vocal haters would have you think. I still think about it from time to time, it's very similar to Manifold: Time in some ways. YES, when I was thinking of
Spoiler The acausality of the entire Tesseract problem all that popped into my head was "DOWNSTREAMERS CONFIRMED"
Closed timelike curves anyone? XD
Blame autocorrect.

From the very moment I first saw an Imperial Class Star Destroyer, I knew I would be rooting for those guys.
Damn right, they have the coolest, and most technologically advanced military in any sci-fi series.
Except for the Forerunners, Precursors, 40K marines, Arguably Reapers/ Protheans and so forth.

>everyone's face when Halo's premise was a straight up plagiarism of Starhammer
PS Pirpir have you watched Interstellar yet?!
And Aliens
Premise isn't a ripoff of Aliens. Visual style? You got that right.
And Sgt. Capone. Stereotype. Johnson.

On mobile. Well, it's always been like this. Can't see any usernames and there's no button to click off, meaning you have to refresh the page.
Also, I've just noticed this. Half the time images appear as white squares with a grey interior. Is this a glitch on the mobile sure or something? If its a feature, is there a way to get it to display the image?
The likes on mobile is a known issue.
I have no idea about the other image problem, but it's definitely not a feature.
Actually, if you're trying to show me an example of what it looks like, then that image is broken, mate. Your browser can't render an image it can't access or find.
Does the image in the OP show for you?
Nope. You're trying to display a website as an image and that's why it's fucking up for you. Copy the imgur link for the image itself, not the page it's on.
This better?
Yep.
You know what's wrong with the like thing? Is it just not scaling down correctly?
Yeah, it's not built for mobile.
I'll likely buy the premium like mod so it can also be integrated with the alerts system.
That would be awesome. How much does it cost?
Not more than $20. In other news, I've fixed the sizing error for the like box. Refresh to get the new css.
Also, a neat little trick until we get a new like system: click the alerts button at the top of the page and the like box will close.
Awesome. Thy was the main problem I had, as dad pointed out that you an turn sideways to view the names which I totally forgot before. Thanks

It would be easier in my eyes if thy did a Star Trek and kept both anon by making it into a time travelly alternate timeline thing. There we go,nobody loses.
Also, 343 are better than Bungie in a lore stand point on te simple grounds that Bungie said game lore>book lore whereas 343 says they're equal.

Pretty much. I always feel that factions like the empire and Titanfall's IMC are the more interesting faction when compared to the rebel faction.

How can it connect to the universe if it didn't happen?
>Halo
Did the games ever tell you about a precursor, did it ever tell you about the ISO Didact, did it ever tell you about Chakas and how he was 343i Guilty Spark, no, think about it.
That reminds me of CE now, with the part where Cortana and 343 have a slinging match. Fucking Bungie canoeing European Union with cannons
The only canon part that they really broke was Reach, sense when the fuck were there two Cortanas in the book Fall of Reach.
Even then we managed to figure a lot of that out: Cortana in the game was a fragment being used to study with Halsey until the last scone that was joined with the 'main' Cortana on the autumn at the end, the timeline does make sense in canon (Though not in terms of common sense) and stuff. Reach does fit for the most part, though leaves several questions suh as how the navy wasn't mobilised against the invasion for upwards of a month and stuff. Also, one Retcon being te book mentions the elites first being encountered at reach which we definitely know is non canon, and a bunch of minor tidbits which were fixed in the 2010 reprint.

The difference being every piece of lore in Halo is canon.
I just repress that. But yeah, that one exception. And also some o the dubious Mega Bloks stuff (Such as the UNSC Quad Walker)

The difference being every piece of lore in Halo is canon.
Also, Halo is a bad example because there was jack shit for Forerunner lore to begin with. If you want to do anything with the forerunners, you're going to have to pull it from your head (Example: Composer, Neural Physics, Ancient Humanity/ San Shyuum, Chakas etc) because there was nothing there at all. All there was was the two Bias', Didact, Librarian, Flood War and Halo array. You can't do much with jut that.

Armor lock could be annoying when a whole enemy team would use it. Shooting up the guy, he armor locks. His buddy runs in, hes also about to die, he also armor locks. They're two friends run up and finish you off while you're weak from fighting with armor lockers.
Other than those scenarios, armor lock wasn't too bad... I found it way more useful on Big Team Battle when vehicles would try to ram me. I got 9 armor lock kills in one match by armor locking enemy ghost rammers, a few of them coming at me from behind (that radar can save your life).
On breakpoint, two ghosts were coming at me at exact opposite directions so I just popped my armour lock and destroyed both in one big explosion.
Aside from that, I only liked the forge/ customs and art style of reach. Everything else was the usual meh gameplay wise, and bungie's usual meh in the story department post Halo 2.
I got a double kill when a fully loaded mongoose drove into me once in armor lock. I lol'd hard
I really enjoyed Reach's game play and overall used the jetpack. The difference between Reach and say, Halo 3, is that Reach is more resourceful while Halo 3 is more tactical.
Sprint was my thing on Reach for the most part. I like the faster gameplay of the more modern games to taking half an hour to travel around a map.
When enemies had sprint I kind of got annoyed, as typically when beating them in a gun battle they'd sprint off and hide once their shields failed or came close to failing. That really disrupted some of the flow of play imo, and like armor lock used on non-vehicular maps, very cheap. Usually it would be the MLG tryhards though so it didn't save 'em for long.
My favorite use of the jetpack was going 1v1 with a banshee on spire at the top, flying out above the ground with a fuel rod on limited ammo. Awesome skirmish, and I blew him up as he attempted to boost ram me in mid air.
I mostly played BTB so I was more using it to get around than anything. I usually don't back out of a fight because I just get 'naded before I run away or something. Plus I tend to use vehicles a lot.

As far as I'm concerned, it's two different canons. Like how JJ did star trek- alternate timeline shizzle.

Anything outside the films and clone wars & rebels tv shows aren't canon.
Anyway I heard the EU canon was shit anyway so I'm glad they got rid of it.
I heard it was a mess of coninuity errors and people had to pick and choose what they saw as canon.
Lucas was going to sort out everything once TCW finished. Then he thought 'fuck it, lets retcon everything!' instead. It's a shame. Because of all that fuckery, we never got an Imperial Commando #2.

The 2008 one actually got pretty dark in Series 4 onwards. The Darkness on Umbara story arc was really fuken good. As the timeline got closer towards RoTS, it began to become a lot darker and more about the actual clones themselves than random characters no one liked.
