Seeing that the nigtrooper has a name means he really is a main character, which means that the rules of Star Wars have been upheld: No faces for stormtroopers, and a single Black character in each trilogy.
"Lando isn't a system, he's a black guy. Now I think about, he's the only black guy in the galaxy."

What subject do you plan on doing?
computer games
Okay then. I've applied for computer science so your predicament is kind of similar to mine. You need to show a genuine interest in the subject, and that is more than just playing games. You'll want to show that you're interested in the work behind the games, perhaps make some stuff in your own time. I put that I used game maker in my personal statement and they actually asked me about it at the Southampton interview. Maybe do some stuff with something like the Skyrim creation kit if you have Skyrim, or use another game.
I've used python to make a couple of small things. We'll be using PyGame in a couple of months at school for coursework so that should be fun.

A lack of interchangeable characters?
Honestly, pretty much any of the dwarfs can die and I won't care
I hope you're looking forward to the new one then.

The two books that they needed to make three good movies?
One book. It could have been two comfortably without the bullshit Tauriel stuff.

I can't wait for the new one! I hope he does other movies in the universe as well.
Goo luck with that. Christopher hates the films so tomorrow is likely our final film instalment of Middle Earth.

So can anyone (Particularly bongs, as I know it applies here) tell me why universities seem to look at your extra curricular activities and what you do outside of school and shit when doing a course? Like, what does it matter if I just play video games with my spare time but I got A's at A level? Surely your grades are more important than your spare time activities, right?

« on: December 11, 2014, 01:50:25 AM »
No. But I I also think that universities shouldn't pick and choose based on what hobbies you have outside of chill and shit.

Saw that film advertised. Immediately thought it looked terrible. Never bothered with it.
Apparently I was right.

What about The Lord of the Rings? They were written for an 8 year old and they're fucking difficult to keep up with.
What about WWZ? The Halo series?
There's loads of cool stuff. I read THG once and I thought it was okay, not enough to warrant a second read unlike WWZ which I think I've read about 6 times now.

Not to mention it's morally wrong
Oppression is a big no no.
"muh morals" I dont care about stupid shit like that, It's fiction, I'm not going all moralfag in a science fiction setting 6 centuries in the future. In my writing, no one ever wins. Even the nice species has a fucking dark history behind them. Nothing is nice and BTS manipulation coupled with an extremely effective fighting force essentially made space NK. Revel groups Sonetimes win a small battle until the heavy guns come in. And I mean weapons designed to rip apart a continent. What's that? X colony is rebelling? Orbital fucking strike. Anyway, this is what leads to humanity being royally fucked over when their empire is brought down by an outside cause for an entirely unrelated reason. Then they're just surrounded by 10,11 species that are quite happy to reverse the system. I mean, it's the same government that uses its prisoners to test bioweapons, chemicals and all sorts of nasty science shit. Hell, some are even used as live target practice in the military. It isn't supposed to be a nice lovey dovet hippy government. It's supposed to be dark and dangerous and powerful. Like the empire on Star Wars, except for the fact that they put more defence on the weak points in their spaceships. Happy governments where everyone loves each other are boring and there is no story to tell like that. Here, I have my main viewpoint from this faction POV, the fact that there are many improvised armies all fighting each other for the territory that is now up for grabs. The empire are too villianised. They're much more interesting than the rebels.
