What games have Obsidian made that weren't rushed to delivery?
I only know that they made NV. I don't know what else they've done. Besides, what developers have never had to cut content?
Please, look at what happened to Knights of the Old Republic II. When Obsidian has the cut content, it's because they were rushed to a deadline. KotOR II was so bad that easily a quarter of the game was removed in assets. Same thing with NV and all the Legion stuff.
Never played KOTOR. Like I said, FNV is the only Obsidian game I have ever played.
I'd recommend Alpha Protocol and KotOR II (on PC, so you can use the Restorated Content additions) if you like FNV.
I 100%ed FNV. But I don't have a good PC. I play all my Bethesda game son 360.
However, FO3, FNV and Skyrim are my top 3 buys for when I get a good gaming PC.
KoTOR II is a 2004 game, I can almost max it out on my twelve year old computer.
I can't run minecraft.

Just out of interest, how come you're so obsessed with star wars despite claiming you don't like them?

2 had some good battle scenes, but 3 was the best overall.
Geonosis was and still is one of my favourite battle scenes from any film.

Wait, but aren't you pretty much locked out of two of NV's factions if you want to enjoy the majority of the content, or something?
Yeah. Legion requires you to destroy nearly every faction in the game aside from the Khans and House doesn't really do much. Both make you vilified with the NCR- aka 75% of the map. Playing for Yes Man and NcR allow you to make allinces with pretty much every faction and thus make doing their respective questlines not meaningless. As well as the fact that there are at least 3 times as many NcR side quests as legion ones. It's a shame- we were going to get Legion towns and such contnet but they were cut for time constraints. I would love to see Legion civilian life. People base their opinions of the Legion off what is essentially a bunch of military camps. I really hope we see a MidWest BoS-Legion war someday in a Fallout game.

Skyrim had that problem, too, but I think Fallout was even worse. Bethesda sucks.
I do agree with both things. With Fallout 3 the main story just had so many plot holes to it that don't make sense. The Enclave has no idea where this giant robot is stored at even though they are this Shadow government of the US government. At any point in the game they could have siege the Brother Hood until they starved to death. There would be heavy losses but the Enclave has the manpower and tech to do that. Then there's that camp filled with kids that somehow survived since the days the nukes fall and to make that even worse the camp is located next to a vault filled with super mutants. Then there's other plot holes as well.
You're best off pretending FO3 isn't part of the canon. At least the MQ. Personally, I would've loved to see the Brotherhood Civil War (Brotherhood/ Outcasts) as the MQ. That would have been really interesting. If Obsidian did the writing and Bethesda the actual map for the next one, it would be the best game.

Fallout 3 is the best game up there.
The main story is not the most important part of the game, the exploration and side content is, which Fallout 3 excelled at.
If it had a NV style reputation system, more than 5 voice actors, ironsights and hardcore, it would be ubergame.

Far Cry 2. I just can't. It hasn't aged well, especially after playing 3.

I don't normally do New Year's Resolutions (well, I did last year, I guess), but this year, I want to make it a point to start reading more. A couple of people in my life have noted how pathetically unread I am for someone who likes to spend time contemplating lofty ideas and articulating them in lofty ways, and it's kinda been getting to me lately.
So, I picked up a bunch of stuff relevant to my interests... Les Misérables, Gone Girl, 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, A Clockwork Orange, and The Catcher in the Rye.
I'd like further recommendations. What are you guys reading right now?
Probably could've made a whole new thread, but I didn't want to risk it not being good enough for Serious, and having it moved to the cesspool that is the Flood.
The book of WWZ is surprsingly thought provoking as to how a society would continue/ be set up after a zombie war. May not exactly what you're wanting but it actually goes into some pretty deep concepts.

It does look like it wouldn't be a comfortable gun to hold.
It's weighted weirdly and doesn't have a lot of good spots to hold it. Let's compare the FAMAS to a similar weapon: the F2000.
^^^Look at that piece of shit. It looks like a pile of garbage. The French army refers to it as "le Clairon", or the Bugle because it looks like a fucking bugle. It's ugly and unwieldy and nobody likes it. Nobody should have to use a bugle in battle, not even the French.
^^^Now look at this piece of art. This is the FN F2000. It's a bullpup rifle using 5.56 ammunition (the same as the FAMAS) but it looks beautiful and is very well-designed. It solves many problems of the bullpup style rifle (ejecting shells at the front of the gun/not being an unwieldy piece of shit) and looks cool as shit while doing so. It's funny how two prominent French-speaking nations (France and Belgium) managed to produce two rifles on the complete opposite end of the quality spectrum from each other.
I fucking LOVE the F2000.
I also love this bullpup design
I also like this one.Spoiler ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) both look bad and you should feel bad
I like bullpup weapons m8

Will anyone be partaking in this challenge to watch all the LOTR and Hobbut films in nearly a day's worth of video? Me and a bunch of friends are planning on it once TBoTFA is released.

I find III to be the most entertaining. I think the Clone Wars in general were much more interesting than the GCW so I don't really like the Originals as much.

Yeah. I wish Skyrim had more depth. More armour customisation options (Shoulder, upper leg etc), hardcore, weapon degrading/ repair. Those kinds of things would have done wonders for the game. Also, the vampire system is weird. I would think you'd gain powers by drinking bloo and losing by going too long without it.

I have a science fiction universe consisting of over 180 documents. That counts right?
Yeah, that certainly counts. Do you have any short stories or longer novel length work conceptualized?
I have the plot for a larger novel down but it's just eh trying to write single characters. I much prefer actually world-building.
I think that's where any person expressing ideas from a personal universe should start. It's a fantastic way to establish how the world works and what's in it so I can fit details together more easily for trying to tell the story of what happens at some point in time in that universe.
Well I have the timeline of 400AD-2700AD done (From when the first species achieve space travel to the 'present day') and have every weapon and vehicle and their respective manufacturers done. Also, I has the detailed writers do every species and I'm also making two languages used by alien factions to do proper wording in writing. Te technology is a slow process because I'm researching physics to make sure everything tht happens is possible in physics. The military structure and ranks for the humans are done and are a WIP for aliens. I have a lot of the ideas down, it's just actually writing it all.

Take some Rad-X or RadAway.
No no. I need the other stuff. Med-x right?
Maybe some Buffout.
Maybe I should just take the drug resistant perks. Oh if only. I wish.
Get some T-45D power armour to get free Med X without the addiction penalty.
Obama better step up his game on the iron man power armour project then.
Can we not just have that Death Star already?

Unless you have some sort of mental disease, you enjoy company.
What about incredibly introverted people who just tolerate company, and then end up feeling sapped of energy after every event?
There's no point trying. He's just a close minded idiot, and has proved this on many occasions
Coming from the edgy suicidal teenager, that really hurts. Teach me to cut pls.
I don't recall wanting to kill myself.
Oh you'll get there, don't worry.
Can you tell me next weeks lottery numbers too?
Naw I just know losers when I see them.
What have I lost?
