Isn't that Regret though
He's the one with the curly bits on his hat

So it is. Either way, it's not mercy.

I want a battle set on a wide open plain of Sanghelios. Spectres, Ghosts, and Wraiths with banshees overhead. Maybe the separatist vehicles would have their own look similar to the Heretics in H2.

Well the Storm covenant are using largely civilian armours, whereas SoS are using full Covenant military gear- like Halo 2, 3 and Reach. This, it would be easy to tell the difference in soldiers. For vehicles, I can see a green-lit version of the ghost and wraith to match the green light of their other gear.

I didn't realize the difference in gear. That will affect how things play out, for sure >_>

Maybe, but 7 million Prometheans will also make a difference too.

Also true.........yikes!

Also at least 700 RCS-Class armoured cruisers and CRS-Class Light Cruisers, Jul is going to put up a fair challenge.

The Johnson and Miranda vs Arbiter cutscene was great.

It was fantastic. I always like when devs show the difference in size and strength between the species and get it right. Just makes things that much more fun. I think a lot of Halo players sort of forget how dangerous Elites are in terms of canon compared to your average Human wince we're used to fighting them in the boots of a spartan.

This is an alien that's a good few feet taller than most Humans, probably lives on a higher-G world giving them better speed and strength and more durability by default.

Loved that cutscene.

Blur needs to get into full time movie making business.

In the canon, a Sangheili soldier is roughly on par with or greater than a SPARTAN in full MJOLNIR. Really, UNSC weaponshould be shit tier and plasma the really good ones.

Rtas should have technically said "These are my Sangheili"

Aside from that, I thought people might be interested in the fact tht Usze 'Taham and his buddy (The players 3 and 4 in H3 co op) are indeed canon an serve in the Arbiter's forces.

The backwards phantom was a joke thing. 343 even said that they saw it before release and attributed it to the pilot showing off.

Huh, I never knew that >_>
Am I the only one who thought it was a joke? Literally ppl worked hours to make the cutscene, do you think ppl wouldnt realize it was going backwards

Well people worked years on Destiny.........

More like a year. The project got largely reset aroun late 2013 after Staten left.

I can't really decide whether they're actually telling the truth or just trying to cover up a mistake.

Basing off some if the other stuff they've done and the fact that (I at least) laughed at it, I'm inclined to say it was noticed.

I think it was a mistake on blur's part originally (Remember that the person who did that bit may not have known what the phantom's front is. Not everyone there may have played halo) that the team foud funny, and left it in.

Wonder what ever happened to him
He's either a war hero on his planet.

Orrrr 343 killed him off.

We know he was alive in 2556, following the ONI event, but we have no information on anything after.

Between 2-3 got control of Shadow of Intent and was one of the main leaders of the Schsim, alongside Thel and Imperial Admiral Xytan Jar 'Watinree.

After 3, led most of Thel's military forces in te continuing war with the Jiralhanae for several years. At some point, was subject to investigation by ONI prowlers, resulting in the subsequent destruction of those 3 ships.

But all of Blur's cinematics were honestly amazing. As for what you said, you can see this in the Cairo station cutscene, when Miranda is trying to stop herself from crying when they start talking about Jacob.

8774
Yeah. I managed to sit through it for my halo 5 armour, but I'll prrobably get the DVD when it comes out in march.

Well I've never been there, but I know it's by the sea. So, I guess you could have some fun visiting the ocean.

No. That place is fucking disgusting in terms of the sea. Unless you also like Blackpool too.

That's like an hour and a half drive for me.

It's just like any city- full of people and cars. Though if you get a bus, don't expect people to talk much. Also, be prepared for Yorkshire accents.

Also, expect rain. And darkness in mid-afternoon.

Also there's a sea life centre there. If you're interested in marine biology, then I'd recommend it. I loved that place as a kid.

I made a very quick image of a rough idea for a decent mobile layout for the index.

Spoiler

I always liked bungie's mobile app, hence the similar design, even if their main site sucks.

Going back to spaceships, I'm in a predicament as I started 3D modelling te midnight class on google sketch up today, and while doing it, I realised it looks like a fucking star destroyer with bits glued on. It sucks because its one of my few remaining designs from when I first began doing this stuff and I don't want to see it go.

So don't let it go. The Star Destroyer isn't a unique design by any means. As long as it's not identical there's nothing to worry about.

By the way, does Google Sketch Up require an actual mouse to use? I was thinking about downloading that, but I only have a scrollpad on my laptop and it doesn't connect to handheld mouses for some reason.

I use it at school, but I imagine you can use a touchpad. However, much like photoshop, it will be awkward as hell to use.

When we had the who's online thing, I mainly used it to see if people were reading my threads because I'm like that. If that isn't going to be re-implemented, could it be implemented to have a thing at the bottom of a page listing who is reading the thread at hand, and how many guests? It can't be used to stalk people unless you were going to check every thread in the forum, and it means I can see if people are reading what I post.

I'm trying to avoid using the same names. I temporarily had robotic drone things called sentinels (Though they are nothing alike) before changing the name. I like keeping things my own thoughts. Well, aside from things are generic scifi tropes like orbital drop marines (Halo, Titanfall, Starcraft, Warhammer etc)

Virtually no name hasn't been used at some point. Even if you try coming up with something totally new, I guarantee somebody's used it before somewhere. It'd be easier to just name them what you want to name them and move on.

Quote
Also, me and a friend have been working to create an alien language (Not space english. A full new syntax and everything) and then using words to name alien technology and stuff :D

I tried that once. Got too time-consuming for me. World-building is more my speed.

If I haven't heard of it, I can deny copying, such as the fact I didn't even 40K until after I had named one of my main factions te Imperium, and I'm not changing that- way too many documents relating to it. Going back to spaceships, I'm in a predicament as I started 3D modelling te midnight class on google sketch up today, and while doing it, I realised it looks like a fucking star destroyer with bits glued on. As for the language- it's mainly my friend doing it. I do the sciences stuff and te world building, and he helps with some of the civilisation stuf as he knows a bit about sociology so he knows a bit more about cultures and stuff. And he is self teaching himself Swedish so he knows languages, partially because he does his own fantasy stuff and has complete elves and Dwarven languages.

HALO!

No you sack of old sacks. Inspired from but not Halo. Bacon's self generated work.

I've very nearly named tgese things after halo too many times. I nearly put Phoenix, vindicator, autumn and prowler classifications .-.

What's wrong with those? :c

The Phoenix-Class Colony ship is the Spirit of Fire
Vindicator is a post-war battleship, the one seen in the Halo 4 level Midnight
Autumn is a new cruiser type introduced post-war, designed as an updated version of the decomisioned Halcyon class, though equipped with the upgrades recived by the Pillar of Autumn for Operation: RED FLAG (A honeycomb armour structure that could take many more hits, the ability to fire 3 MAC rounds on a full charge and so forth) and thus where it got its namesake
Prowlers are the stealth and reconnaissance shis used by ONI

Using any of them would be a blatant rip off

As long as they're not identical in appearance or anything like that, there's no reason you couldn't use the names. There's tons of ships in sci-fi called prowlers, but Bungie still used it.
