There, 37 images, pretty much all of the UNSC Army, though with one or two of the Marines. The army in Reach looked so much cooler than the Marines IMO.

When can we expect everyone here to stop being to butthurt about Bungie?
Never.

I was really blown away by the H2A cutscenes, they did a great job.
Yeah. I really hope 343i sign them on for future Halo titles. Also, the Spielberg series so we don't get Nightfall level cgi.
I don't understand how we went from this;
To this:
I havn't watched any of the Nightfall series, but yeah that looks terrible.
It's weird with nightfall. Some bits look amazing, some look terribad. I won't spoil it for you, but nightfall was trying to do too much I felt, whereas FuD used it's smaller budget more effectively by reusing existing assets and stuff.

Just noticed this, and I love how the H2A marine armour is stylised/ the same as the Halo Wars one; Halo Wars Halo 2A Specifically, the chestplate has the same shape (+ the addition of ammo pouches) and the little bit with the UNSC in block and the serial bar. Awesome touch, I love that they remembered that. Though it makes more sense when you remember that blur did the cutscenes for Halo Wars, too, so I guess it's only natural that they use the same/ similar designs in both versions.

Fine. You folks keep holding your fucking grudges. Not my fucking business. The past isn't either because I wasn't around for it. And once again none of you seem to fucking get it.
"the past"
You mean fucking yesterday?
Well considering it's yesterday, you're damn fucking right it's the past. It's done and over with now to be sure.
Yep. Time to let it go, Sandtrap.
You remember when Dusty boy single handedly sunk the fundraiser a friend of mine set up over at Bungie? It took me a day to cool my shit off. One day, and things were back to normal.
I acknowledge that dusty boy is spiteful grudge holding sack of old sacks and that he's a "troll." But I hold no ill will and don't go out of my way to attack him. It took me one day to get over the fact that he wandered over there and sunk a thread.
I don't hold grudges. Not for long. And either should you folks.
But it's your choice. See where it fucking gets you. Toxicity breeds more toxicity. Just you fucking watch.

This was Cheat's decision. Take it up with him. Don't drag the rest of us into your bullshit.
I won't. But considering that there's still worse folks wandering around here, and the way this community treats people, both people inside the community, and newcomers, is a tell of what's going to happen in the future. This place is not a welcoming place.
It's not a welcoming place for people who've been here for a while because you get drama and shit like this. And it's not welcoming for outsiders because the community itself is inherently hostile on almost every level. So shit's a mess now. Well, actually it isn't. Not for you folks. Kiyo is long gone at this point. And unfortunatly for me I'm her friend and I'm damn worried about what's up on her end of things now. So that's my business now. Keep an eye out and make sure things are okay and help if I can because I can tell she's in a really bad way right now.
And as for this place? Well, just you wait. Mark my fucking words. This has nothing to do with this latest batch of drama. This has to do with the fact that overall and in general, this place is hostile on all fronts. And just like Kiyo getting what she put out, this place will too.
And, like Kiyo, it has good sides. But it's going to fall apart. This place has made that abundantly clear by now.
If there's one thing I've learned...it's that to not get eaten alive here you gotta just be loose and not take everything so seriously. Otherwise you'll just get eaten alive. Honestly, if you're able to just let go and stop letting what people say about you get to you, it stops being as horrible as you're saying it is.
I actually have a lot of fun here. I know a lot of others would agree. Yeah there's dumb drama and some people can be annoying and hostile as hell *cough cough* stupid post from a certain someone who was banned not to long ago *cough* but again if you just stop taking things so personally it stops being so hard to handle things.
Needless to say, it's not for everyone.
We get it, you're obsessed. You created some of the most drama on here. You're the hostile one, and you find others annoying because they humiliate you. Some pathetic ban I received is irrelevant, and only reflects how awful the site can be.

Spoiler UCE Kyoto, 50,000 kilometres from mining colony Rho Xi II 23/06/2654, 05:23 AM [Military Clock] En route to meet with UCE Crescent Moon for FTL jump to Earth
“Captain, something’s appeared on our scopes.” reported Fifth Lieutenant Thomas Waters. Something had appeared on radar a couple of minutes ago, just a blip, before it had disappeared again. It had lasted a fraction of a second, but Thomas just passed it off as floating space debris. It wasn’t uncommon for sensory arrays to register rocks and dust as a craft, usually when they hadn’t been well-maintained. Thomas had made a mental note to request a retune of the arrays when the Kyoto next docked for resupply. Now it was back again, but larger. “We get stuff on the radar all the time, Tom. Nuthin’ to worry about.” replied the captain of the vessel, Captain Andrew Jorad. Thomas looked around to see that the captain was lounging in his custom-fitted leather chair, risen above the six bridge crew. His right arm held a glass of polan wine, the bottle precariously balanced next to the control console. His left hand focused on a holographic display in front of him, from behind, it appeared to be some sort of external messaging system, even though the Kyoto was supposed to be on communications lockdown. Reckless, the Kyoto was a state-of-the-art Hunter-class stealth corvette. It was undetectable to all but the most advanced detectors. Or at least when the captain was taking his post seriously- this was the kind of recklessness that would attract any number of raiders, the Kyoto didn’t have the defences to wade off a capital ship. Thomas looked at his partner, Second Lieutenant James. He had the same disparaging look in his eye, Thomas knew what he was thinking without it being said; the captain was only the rank he was because of his background, born the son of Garen Jorad, the ambassador for Primus and a person of significant power in the Imperium. The navy had done all it could to stop Jorad from having command of a ship of significant power, like his father’s suggestion for him to command one of the UCE dreadnaughts. So Jorad was instead given one of the smallest ships in the fleet, and given the most redundant missions as far from the core- and the admiralty- as possible. Unfortunately, that also left Thomas and James and the other crew members- 35 in total- left to patrol space far enough from the core to be effectively forgotten but not far enough to be in any real danger; the perfect area to be bored more or less all the time. “But sir, I’ve already checked over the arrays. Perhaps if you hadn’t elected to get repairs for our sensors at the last dock, we could know for sure.” Thomas answered in response, a hint of sarcasm evident in his voice. “Fine, then you can pay for upgrades when we dock with Crescent Moon, then. I’m not-“ Jorad was cut off by a loud explosion, reverberating through several decks and causing the lights of the bridge to turn off. After several seconds, two red emergency lights turned on, dimly lighting the room just enough that one could walk around without falling. “What was that?” asked Jorad, who was holding a hand to his head. “Unsure, diagnostics indicate an energy weapon impact, starboard side. Cut through engineering, barracks and one of our fuel lines.” replied James, reading off the display on his screen. “We need to go silent, another hit from that will finish us.” “No, make way to Crescent Moon, full speed, we need her heavier firepower.” stated the captain of the ship. “I’d advise against-“ “I don’t care what you’d advise; we’re stuck dead in the water if we go silent! Comms, broadcast an SOS to Crescent Moon and get an ETA on docking.” ordered the officer, standing up and walking over to the communications station. “Someone get an external view up already!” The main screen of the bridge lit up, showing the external view of space around the stealth craft; the black of space dominated the view with a splash of white spots of the stars in the milky way galaxy. “Captain, according to this, we should be right on top of the Crescent.” reported Warrant Officer Davidson, over at his own view screen. “Wait, switch view to port!” he suddenly shouted, switching the screen to the other side of the ship; the view was completely different; the broken hull of the destroyer dominated the camera, sections of hull plating drifted in the space around the broken ship and a large gash had cut through over fifty centimetres of battleplate, a closer view could see several corridors and rooms had been completely cut in half and at several points, the weapon had completely cut through the entire ship. Atmosphere vented from dozens of points along the warship and fires could be seen raging in several compartments, no one was alive. The Crescent Moon , one of the foremost warships in the navy fleet, was dead, along with its crew of 12,000 was dead.

I've just been back to bnet for the first time in about six months, and holy shit, it is worse than I remembered. On top of #tags, we have @[username] now?
Actually, 140 characters there wouldn't be so bad now I think about it.
they had to do the @ thing because they fucked their reply system then fucked their arrows that told you who replied to who. morons.
Fucking lol. Imean, it wouldn't be a bad idea to tag a user in a post on a forum like this where yo can just tag instead of having to snip a quote or if you want to get someone to notice the thread without having to PM them, but on one where you have sub-threads, it makes no sense.

I like your avatar. ODST was always my favourite armour set and one of my favourite games in the series.
I usually try to limit my avatars to Mass Effect stuff but the ODSTs are just too awesome.
Damn fucking right. The ODST's are IMO way cooler than Spartans.
^
They didn't need any fucking steroids since they were old enough to tie their shoelaces to be badass. They actually worked their asses off (and now thanks to Halo 4, ODSTs that are qualified can become SPARTANs now.)
As for the Mass Effect trilogy, there's at least 4 to look forward to.
I also love how the ODST armour was originally going to be the Chief armour in combat evolved, before they went with the MKV we know and love because ODST looked 'too mean', and they reused the idea for special forces troops in the upcoming games.
I love though, how the nightfall armour has gone back to a more traditional ODST look rather than the butchery of Halo 4 ODST (I liked Halo 4's armour but I felt ODST got ruined in it, losing the angular look I loved it for.)
This is the best picture I can get but it looks a lot cooler in-game in the armoury;
before they went with the MKV we know and love because ODST looked 'too mean'
because ODST looked 'too mean'
ODST looked 'too mean' ......Fuck. You. Bungie. ODST armor is the fucking baddest shit on the planet, and people would've thought it was more badass than Chief's suit.
I think it worked out okay in the end though, with MJOLNIR and ODST armor being what they are. Spartans are more angular, and ODSTs are more rounded.
Plus it's referenced in Halo lore- the Air Assault armour in Reach/4/5 was an upgrade of the ODST BDU before the project was essentially turned into another variantion of MJOLNIR.

-snip-
I presume that Fotus is non-canon, as it's entry on the EVG states that it is a specialty role for transproting coffee, and the horn is to scare off wildlife. Though I think that tha armour without the horn looked cool, I loved the inspiration from the Promethean Knights we got in-game- the idea of UNSC armour using reverse-engineered Covenant Technologies (Such as Jiralhanae stealth kits used in making Stalker) and Forerunner tech (Such as those found at Onyx that went into building the Prefect armour) really excites me. But I would also say the same for Halo 3's Hayabusa, the idea of Spartans walking around with katanas and big horns on their helmet is a bit dumb. -snip-
I know, they wanted Chief to look like a hero I guess, and ODST was 2cool4them. Though I'm guessing it was going to be in the game at some point for the standardmarine BDU, as the novelisation The Flood says that the Autumn's marine complement were all ODST's picked to join Operation: Red Flag, and that the entire company dropped in their ODST pods onto I04 and singlehandedly took a heavily fortified Covenant base on the ring- a base that had several banshees, ghosts and more where the ODST's had a few rifles and rockets, and no armour whatsoever. Mch more badass than Chief, methinks.

I like your avatar. ODST was always my favourite armour set and one of my favourite games in the series.
I usually try to limit my avatars to Mass Effect stuff but the ODSTs are just too awesome.
Damn fucking right. The ODST's are IMO way cooler than Spartans.
But I loved the Mass Effect trilogy, I'm just bitter that I never got round to getting any of the expansions for it. I swear that I'm the only one who actually enjoyed ME3's ending .-.
The expansions were really good, I gotta say. I thought the ending was good too. I really doesn't understand why everyone was going around hating it over nitpicky things.
I think it was more over what was promised than what we got, when something gets hyped up considerably, what we get will never be as good. It's the reason I think Half-Life 3 will never be well recieved; 10+ years of waiting will build up hype that can never be lived up to and no matter what happens, it will get shit on.

I also love how the ODST armour was originally going to be the Chief armour in combat evolved, before they went with the MKV we know and love because ODST looked 'too mean', and they reused the idea for special forces troops in the upcoming games. I love though, how the nightfall armour has gone back to a more traditional ODST look rather than the butchery of Halo 4 ODST (I liked Halo 4's armour but I felt ODST got ruined in it, losing the angular look I loved it for.) This is the best picture I can get but it looks a lot cooler in-game in the armoury;

I've just been back to bnet for the first time in about six months, and holy shit, it is worse than I remembered. On top of #tags, we have @[username] now?
Actually, 140 characters there wouldn't be so bad now I think about it.

I just remembered this- I don't have access to the blog itself, I just have to write stuff and get images ina word doc, then PM it to one of the guys who has access. It's a bit of a farse, really. This one was submitted in mid-december .-.
Wow, that's kind of stupid.
Not really, I've not been a regular poster, I've only done 3 things. And there's a multitude of people who do have access, so I have a few people to message. It's just a bit of a ballache is all. I've noticed several typos already in my previous ones- one of which was adding an extra I to VASMIR.

Have you ever actually considered shutting this place down, just because of something happening and you thinking it wasn't worth your time +money?

How does it feel to have administrated a forum for this long? The Proboards forum made me very stressed in the short time it existed.
Yes. I know what you mean.
