Matchmaking search times are still too long. Game crashes are still in abundance. Games don't start. Customs are still broken. And it just goes on...
Yeah, not anywhere near "fixed."
Are we playing the same game?

I was getting BTB matches pretty quickly earlier.
the recent update made match-finding super easy, i can find one in a matter of seconds
I was taking a few minutes but there was a few of us on a party. I only got major lag on one game out of about ten where I got kicked out of HCE.

Yeah. One of my friends is so fuckign into it. Any time he calls out an enemy on battlefield he always stops to say "guy- or girl- on your left", ghenerally thus leaving my face splattered over the tarmac.
That aside, I've noticed it. If you try and say that people can support nazism or racism if they want because technically have an equal right to express their opinion as anyone else, you get shouted at and called a racist and shit.

I mean, 343's got a plan for their story for 30 years They seriously think they'll stay relevant that long?
I would say the same for Marvel and DC right now
LOL WAT
The films, of course. At some point, people will get bored of superherop films. I like them, but oversaturation isn't a good thing.

Some small hand-puppet game company who's released two heavily criticized games so far isn't the same as two comic book giants who have been around for a century.
Eh. I was referring to their films, of which Marvel has got plans til 2028. Besides, even if the games go under there's nothing stopping them making books (Halo, not comics. I doubt comics'll stop nay time soon)

Is Kiyo still even here?
Kiyo is kill, son.
So it'd be a sausage-fest. Lovely.
Where did Kiyo go then?
Kiyo cut all ties. As far as I know I'm the only person who can speak to her at this point.
Please tell me of this. I want to know more...
People got sick of her shit and she got demoted and rage quit.
Welcome back comms
OH MY GOD LOL!
Any parting message from her? Fuck it, I'll search myself.
Dunno. I was asleep when it all went down. As usual. I always miss the fun stuff.

I used to say General "Gree-vee-us" instead of "Greevus" , as in the character from star wars.
Also "Miss-eye-ul" instead of "Missul" for Missile/

Dunno. I'll buy any Halo game that has a campaign, likewise for any expanded universe and etc. fuck multiplayer.
But considering how many people said hey were done with Halo after Reach yet 4 had the biggest sales figures for any game in the series so far, I believe, I doubt it's going down the shitter yet.
I mean, 343's got a plan for their story for 30 years so they're obviously pretty confident about something. But even if te games went down but the books continued I'd be fine, that woul finally allow me to ditch Xbox.

I like him because he was a character that showed his personality by his movements and reactions
What personality? All you get is that he sleeps a lot. That's it- he doesn't have any defining characteristics whatsoever.

I find myself more immersed when my character is a character. Not a hollow suit of armour.
I mean, I get immersed playing Fallout or TES, but those are actual fucking role playing games. Having a solid character for that would break the whole point of role playing, but in a linear shooter it's very hard to be immersed when everyone is talking for you.
"Crimson found the Artifact!" "Crimson destroyed the gun!" "Crimson is a cool guy!"
Is a lot less immersive than
"Commander, AA guns are down." "Spartan Jacob here, objective completed!"
People criticise games like battlefield an cod for being silent protagonists but I don't understand why if a game then tries to not do that, everyone gets up in arms about it. If you want the player to be the character then give full customisation, otherwise, I want a voice and personality. I find it hard to care about a character who is a camera and that's it.

Uh. I never got that far. I have the 5th anniversary edition so it gave me knights of the nine and shivering isles but I just got bored somewhere in the first oblivion bit.

kek.
Being trained to dehumanize enemies? You don't need to do that shit when the enmies are already not human.
You guys seriously think after 28 years of seeing all humans as allies and friends as we struggled against an entirely non-human enemy bent on our entire annihilation, you'd be able to classify humans as enemies, and have no moral qualms or doubts about fighting to destroy humans?
Shit, you guys even realize the majority of soldiers joined the UNSC to fight the Covenant and save humanity, Quite frankly, they had no intent to kill humans. Mickey included.
Now, I don't follow the lore at that deeply, and quite frankly I find Halo's timeline to all kinds of jacked up, but did the insurrectionists just stop being a thing when the covies entered the picture or something? If I remember right, they had some pretty significant numbers.
They were still active, but for the most part, they just went into hiding and stopped doing such blatant attacks against the UNSC.
Which meant the UNSC had no need to go after them, and basically ignored the insurrection.
They were apparently still a concern in Reach
They were still active, but for the most part, they just went into hiding and stopped doing such blatant attacks against the UNSC.
And as seen in FuD, New Blood and Cole Protocol, insurrectionists fought alongside the UNSC against the Covenant a lot of the time.

I have 1,2 and tactics from when they were free on gog. I can sen them to you if you want.

What worries me is that there isn't going to be any ODSTs left in future Halo games. Everybody just seems to turn into a Spartan IV at this point.
That's not true at all.
My question is, why isn't becoming a Spartan-IV mandatory for all UNSC recruits? There's no reason not to, if they're so easily mass-produced.
-Augmentations are still incredibly expensive and MJOLNIR GEN2 still costs roughly the same as a Dropship. That's still expensive, and the UNSC's Economy is t exactly amazing post-war. Also, not ever soldier way want to be a spartan nor able to.
GEN2 still costs more than a drop ship. The description of Air Assault was referring to use by unaugmented personnel. That means standard Air Assault.
A Dropship for one soldier is still fucking expensive.

You've seen the backlash from idiots who want John to be a silent protagonist.
Nobody wants him to be entirely silent. Just silent in-game. Having him speak his shiny ass off ruins the effect of the player being in the game and doing all those badass things (and distracts from gameplay in general).
That's my point. Players shouldn't be John because they aren't. If you want the player is the character add customisation and don't make a background story for them a la Noble Six, the most boring protagonist in any Halo to date.

r/halo is praising this update saying its on DS now and all the tech issues are fixed. Hmm...could they really have done it?
If /halo is praising it then it has t least done a lot. These are the people who are the most fanboy about Bungie and despise anything 343 does so that's certainly saying something.
