Forerunner Saga is good if you like the LoTR books, though Primordium is basically just a walking tale. However, Silentium is a very good read and Cryptum isn't bad.
Broken Circle is amazing, and gives a lot of insight into the early days of the Covenant and the Schism from the POV of the Covenant- no human characters.
New Blood is good and short if you want to know what happened to the ODST guys.
Evolutions are just short stories that don't have any direct connections.

Looks more like raptors to me.

Sounds good. Can't wait to pick it up.

343GS hijacks the UNSC Rubicon.

Also someone explain this? Is this something that happened in the comics?

Forerunner Trilogy spoilers

the Forerunner trilogy (Cryptum, Primordium and Silentium) is told through the UNSC investigating Forerunner installations and the records they find there. In 2557, a scout group was sent to the Ark and found the remnants (Not physical, the AI essence) left of 343Guilty Spark. GS was actually a human alive in the time of the Forerunners and tells of the times he was aboard Omega Halo in Primordium, and takes control of the ship at the end of the book, claiming to know where the 'elusive lifeshaper' is and plans to find her. Note thatGS' personality was compartmenalised; he couldn't access his human memories until he was 'killed' by Jogn at the end of Halo 3. This book is set two years before that event.

Also, this is a blind wolf, a creature planned to be in Halo 2 and Halo Wars but made neither cut.

It is 2555, more than two years after the Master Chief went missing-in-action following a decisive conflict on Installation 00—the massive, extragalactic Forerunner construct known as the Ark—as part of the final chapter in humanity’s bloody thirty-year struggle against the overwhelming forces of the Covenant. Now, as a tenuous peace exists between the humans and the Elites, a startling scientific discovery is made…and the riddle behind its Forerunner origins could very well seal the fate of the entire galaxy within a matter of weeks. In order to unravel these dangerous secrets, a heroic, hastily formed coalition of humans and Elites must attempt to overcome their differences as they embark on a covert mission back to the Ark—an astonishing, enigmatic place beyond comprehension from which few have returned and where mortal danger awaits them all…

OH MY GOD YES

Also this is set two years before 343GS hijacks the UNSC Rubicon.

You have to remember it was 2001, before Machinima/aking videos on ames was a thing. The market wasn't really that big so there wasn't much out there. Plus, Bungie and 343i give them attention so they got a larger audience from the developers.

It's a shit game and you wasted your money.

If you didn't like Halo 4's MP, then you'll absolutely hste Destiny's.
There's no story.
It's just grinding over and over again.
You don't even have the full game and you need to buy the cut content for the full game.

I'd sell it if I was you.

Except Halo 4's MP was better then Destiny, want proof?
>Shotgun
>Rocket Launcher
>Sniper Rifle
>OP Guns
>Going to level 8 and facing level 30 players
>OP armor
>Titan, Warlock, Hunter powers

It made Halo 4's MP look like a masterpiece compared to Destiny.

He said if you didn't like H4. Not that it was worse.

Learn to fucking read.

...where the hell are you guys that people keep talking to you while you're wearing headphones? On the bus or something I understand. Perhaps if you're in the grocery store or around friends and family you should knock that shit off.

A) School, basically anywhere I'm outside the house
B) If I'm listening to music,it's because I don't want to talk to people. Which is most of the time.

ANYWAY, if Jedi are in it I wonder how it will work out.

I would like to see a Force Unleashed type play-style for the Jedi/Sith (with force powers toned the fuck down of course). It would be a bit too OP to give them the freedom that Jedi Knight has. Maybe give some more realistic lightsaber physics, so if a Jedi and a Tank face each other, the tank might actually die. And if the engine can handle it, dismemberment is always fun. Remember sprinting into a crowd of clones as Darth Maul in BF:II? NoW imagine that, but you can cut their body in half.

Also, if rumors are true, they will have the beginning of the campaign take place in a few Clone Wars missions. I wonder if they'll make new ones, or insert the player into ones we've seen in the TV show. I'd like to see Landing at Point Rain.

YouTube

Also, if we're clones during that time, I hope the delve into Order 66. In the new canon, Clones aren't evil, they're just mind controlled by brain chips. So, it'd be cool to see some Clones go through that. Maybe even some that fans know and love, like Rex?

YouTube

I really want to see Umbara and Christophsis as playable locations.

I hope they include TCW stuff in general. Maybe even some references to Republic Commando would be nice.

Though the whole brain chips thing is bullshit.

They're just sitting around waiting for somebody to try and get the door open to find the real Destiny. While they're waiting, they're just posting shit about it the cheap knockoff version we got.

Bungie always said there's still a ton of stuff hidden in the Halo  trilogy- maybe the actual game is hidden somewhere?

Somewhere...
What if the whole Destiny being shit thing was just a deeper meaning sort of thing by Bungie to make us realize that everything in life turns to a pile of shit, even more when it's overhyped

*looks at halo 3 and reach*

Bungie wouldn't be able to do something remotely that complex or deep now.
Maybe that's the whole point

Halo Reach is the story of Red Team on the surface of Reach covering events if TfoR and First Struke
Halo CE is a game version of the Flood novel
Halo 3 has better dialogue and more writing

Done.

Halo CE the game came out before the book.

I meant making CE basiaclly copy paste the book's storyline. Even the Zuka 'Zamamee and ODST bits.

If they don't change that, I will never buy another product from 343.

Seriously, it looks oversaturated as fuck, not to mention we all know there won't even be ANY firefight. What really bothers me is how badly I want to have my own ports let alone create my very own Halo game using existing Bungie assets, but that would only get me sued.

This is why I stick with the Xbox, PC, and 360 versions of the games.

Edit: Looking at it now I honestly hope that's just debug lighting.
You won't get sued for making your own Halo game as long as you aren't making any money off of it.
It's stated in MS' fair use document.

Well it would be an obvious freebie, but that's legal to do? I thought you could only make maps on the PC versions and revisions to whatever CMT is doing.
http://www.project-contingency.net/h1-home

Thanks. I'll check this out.

There also Installation 01 and Sins o te Prophets, the latter being a huge mod for the game Sins o a Solar Empire.

If you count it, there was the smaller fan project UNSC Warfare on the Internet, though that was more of a test for an idea. The guy making it messaged 343 and they confirmed you can make a Halo game as long as its free and doesn't have Halo in the title (Hene Project Contingency, Installation 01 both not having Halo in the title), so people aren't getting confused between official and fan creations and canon.

I should see if I could make an ODST game using the ODST engine, though that's probably not feasible because it's never been publicly released aside from the game ODST, and to decomplie that would cost so much fucking money, I'd have to spend money on a Jtag and that's just the beginning.

There's already been a guy who made ODST Mombassa Streets on CE, so you'd be better off making your own campaign to be honest.

Which would be fucking amazing.

7588
Don't do it then.
