I don't know if it really counts, but I often feel like I'm born like, in te wrong time period. If that makes sense. Like, I wish I could be living in a time when we were exploring; like back when America was being colonised, or if/ when we begin manned space flight in the solar system. For everything I love (SciFi, Physics, Space), it genuinely depresses me to know that I will not live to see a human or a probe land on a planet in another star system, and probably won't get to see a human settlement on mars before I die. Maybe not even a landing.
Alternatively, it also depresses me when I think about how exciting it must have been when you could just explore and find new countries and places on our planet before we discovered it all (inb4 oceans)
I often feel out of place for when I live, as everyone around me seems more interested in celebrities and shit than exploring the universe. Everyone remembers the moon landing, but no one remembers the guys who spent decades building various rocket systems and testing what we knew about aerospace engineering like how we test what we know about quantum mechanics today. So in 100 years, people may look back on the future mars landing as a monumental achievement, but very few will look at 2015, when nothing major was happening then.
Fuck, I honestly feel like I'd serve more purpose in life if I was living in a fucking war. Or a nuclear wasteland or a zombie apocalypse, you get the idea. I'm not saying I'd survive long, but at least you always have a purpose, rather than just the status quo of sleep work eat sleep repeat that pretty much summarises the early 21st century. I have a general opinion that my mindset, the way I think and how my brain functions is out of place for now. This period of history. Like, I have a way of thinking better suited to other parts of history, with different skillsets that are useless now but would otherwise be good elsewhere. I dunno.
But yeah, I often feel like I'm someone who is better equipped, mentally for more 'exciting' periods of history, as it were. A time when something is going on, be it major exploration or major war. Just something exciting, where every day isn't just repeating the same shit all the time. To be honest, that's my reason that in considering joining the armed forces; because at least then I'd have a purpose and something to do everyday instead of going to school for an arbritary grade that tells everyone how good my memory is.
I don't know if that counts towards the topic, but it seemed kind of relevant, even if a bit of a tangent at the end.

Yeah, even my friends who fanboy this tuff hard said its probably not worth it.
Apparently the cast is quite good, but the writing ruins it. Still, that's £10 I don't need to spend.
Next year's gonna be a blast, though; CA3, BvS, Deadpool, Dr. Strange and Suicide Squad. At least four of those five look amazing, and that's only because Strange hasn't had a trailer yet.

Think f a subject and research it. One day, I just suddenly thought to myself that I want to know the precise details of how a star forms and dies, in a depth you don't cover in school.
And now my search history is basically a 50/50 split of physics and space related things vs. games and stupid Internet stuff.
And I now know a lot about quantum physics. I mean, not a lot in relation to a physicist or even a student at degree level. But a lot more than what's taught in school.
Right now, I'm currently teaching myself about exotic particles and trying to get my head around fourth and fifth dimensional physics.

I do a lot of writing. I've spent the past year or two building a science fiction universe, and I've recently started a fantasy one.
Yeah I might fuck around with that. The only thing I've written in the past few years has been that erotica I posted on anarchy lmao
lol Well, if you do start something like that, I'd always be happy to give critique or help out ^^

M is not 18+. It's 17+.
And that's an easy one to refute just because Battlefront's violence is squeaky clean. No blood whatsoever.
I'm in Britain, so it uses 3+, 7+, 12+, 16+ and 18+. Halo is a 16 but modern warfare shooters are rated 18 here. But it's science fiction. The halo games have never been gritty like CoD, Battlefield or Gears. They've always been rather tame, for a modern shooter. I mean, if a few red pixels is what should classify making games only accessible to late-teens, I guess every film where a character has a nosebleed or cuts his leg should be as well.

It doesn't have real guns. And most of Halo's mature theming comes from the expanded universe material, not the games. Pretty sure pistols and shotguns are real.
Star Wars Battlefront had sniper rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, rifles and pistols. I guess that should have been 18+ then.

And contrary to what some people(BadAstronomy) may say the black hole physics was good.(aside from the fact that Coop wasn't vaporized by the intense gamma rays of the accretion disk, but I may be over looking something)
You can probably argue that the 'others' protected him going into the hole. No spaghettification though

It's a scifi film that actually portrays the sound of space accurately. As in, no sound at all.
It really is quite amazing when the exterior shots of the ship are completely silent, no music, no SFX, nothing.
Pik up 'the science of interstellar' book of you're interested in that sort of thing. The guy who they consulted to make the film scientifically accurate wrote it and goes about everything in it. Good read

Halo has nothing worse that Metroid Prime yet one is rated M and the other is T. And E10 was such a contrivance. Well, Halo also has cursing and (obviously) more realistic, mature themes. Not to mention real guns.

Nothing really. I don't give one about all that crap.
Though of I had to say anything, probably being able to hold a conversation about physics or gaming.

I'm foreseeing a shit-ton of headlessness in these maps. It'll be quiet as hell most of the game until someone bumps into another and they start blindfiring in the dark.
Still, it beats BF3's "night maps". All they were was a deeper tint of blue everywhere:
Now there's an actual use for flashlights and IR scopes other than just to fuck with people.
Actually IRNV/FLIR sights mixed with smoke grenades are pretty much the most effective combination in the game since they nerfed the Mavmortar. Although as tru and lc can attest, Smoke/Flashbang/Flare Shotgun zergrush is borderline undefeatable <_<
Flash hiders will be invaluable now.

Eat chocolate that tastes like shit or eat shit that tastes like chocolate?
By this, I mean the chocolate is perfectly safe to eat but tastes awful, whereas the shit tastes nice but has all the accompanying illness you would get from it.

I'm looking forward to playing warzone. Looks like the best thing introduced to Halo (Not including game mechanics)since invasion. I genuinely enjoyed the beta, easily my favourite Halo FPS to date, mainly because weapons aside from the battle rifle and designated marksman rifle were useful to use. Being able to just mindlessly spam the assault rifle or submachinegun was amazing and a much-needed fix to the series.

I know very little about economics an shit, but surely everyone should at least have the right to a roof and basic food and water. I have no idea how much that costs and stuff, but shouldn't that just be basic?
I disagree. If you are over 18, you deserve nothing. You should be working for it (if you are able). The only people who should get benefits are the disabled and minors.
Back in the day if you didn't hunt for your own food or contribute to your village in some type of way, you'd starve. Thats how it needs to be.
But we have cheap food easily available and more empty houses than homeless people. I'm not saying giving mansions or some shit, just a one-room thing with a piss bucket and a water tap is more than enough- just something to use a 'base of operations', as it were. when I say people should be able to (In the 21st century) get what they need to live, I mean that. Not people on benefits forgoing food for two weeks just so they can have a new phone (Which is utterly ridiculous and a serious mismanagement of priorities), just enough to live. It's not exactly easy to get jobs, and I think it's unfair to punish people because they actively try to get them but simply can't due to bad luck or sucking at interviews or whatever. I would totally advocate not providing stuff to people who are able to do stuff but don't even show evidence of trying to apply for jobs and stuff. fuck them.
