Download link?

MCC doesn't have an online fileshare yet. 343 were more concerned with bug-fixing post-launch.

You have to go to someone's in-game profile, then on their file share.

It's a right pain in the arse.

It's like Halo 3's file share system, then remove the website bit.

Oh okay. I'll get it when I get my Xbox One.

Yeh. Just add me, and I should appear in the online friends bit on the right of the screen. Then just go to that and files.

Well, I've given up for the night. Not like, the game. Just got frustrated.

Trying to find the woman, and I'm standing exactly outside the administrative building but there's no way in, and I'm just getting annoyed.
There's supposed to be a door on the right, that you pick to unlock and get in sadly I don't know if this is helpful seeing as I don't know where you're located

Don't help him, he has to figure it out.

There's like 15 ways to get into the building, he'll find one.

Eh. I was wandering round for like, 45 minutes trying to find a way in. It's pretty fun, the game, but I hate segments in games when there's no direction. Like, at all.

There is direction, though.

Assuming you've already extracted Chico, he dropped a cassette tape that gives you clues how to get to the building.

If you didn't catch a ride on the back of the truck near the prisoner area, there are two red doors you can use to access the building.

You were supposed to ride on that thing? I avoided it then stealthed my way there and interrogated every guard I got my hands on.

Fuck.
Not necessarily supposed too, but it's an option. I entered through a drainage tunnel by the top left of the admin building which lead to the power supply on my first playthrough.

I went all the way to the south side and all the way round the back, through some underground bit and came out round behind the two big blast gates.

If anyone's wondering why it's dark as fuck on the map, I had a lot of budget left over after making the map. So I decided to do some nice out-of map scenery. Then I realised after two hours of doing it that it made everything really dark because of the location I put the really tall cliff.

Might fix it, but it's not really an issue.

Wow. I'm impressed by the graphical fidelity of this game. Assuming this cutscene is reperesentative of the in-game graphics.

Yeah, it is.

The FoxEngine is arguably the strongest engine on the market right now.

It supports seamless transitions from cutscene to gameplay.

You'll see.

Well, it took me about an hour to get into the game properly. But now I've got used to it's mechanics, I'm going pretty well.

Seriously, the lighting effects and the water textures on the clothing of the soldiers is very nice.

Also, why is the joker in this?

My only foray into Star Wars EU has been Republic Comando. I liked those novels.

Anyway, the only stuff officially counted right now is the films, TCW/ CW and Rebels, and anything produced from here on out.

there's a spoiler thread on gaf. i want to click it but i know i shouldn't

kojima save me
I've been avoiding EVERYTHING from YouTube to... well anything else. I'm glad I don't frequent other forums.
i've hardly watched anything.
like, i'm mega pumped for the game, but for some reason i just can't bring myself to sit through gameplay previews and stuff

I'm the same for fallout 4.

I'm mega pumped for the game but aside from the E3 stuff, I want everything to be fresh when I get to play it. So I don't know much about the game because I'm not watching stuff about it.

Didn't even know it was out.
It's not booss

It thought it was in production hell like the halo movie for the longest time. Like the supposed asscreed film or the mass effect film. Even five fucking nights at Freddie's is being made into a film.

Agent 47 seems like one of those times they know the film is shit so they release it quietly and hope people forget it exists.

Oh ya. Taking all bets.

Verb is gonna like the shotgun in CE. Callin it. If he liked the one in Half-Life he'll like the one here if we're talking about stupidly OP.
full disclosure--it was my one of my favorites in MP

looking forward to using it here

Shame it doesn't appear until-

I'm just... Going to...

Make a new thread when I start playing

M'kay?
And we'll do the same to that one.

Feck.

6923
Who's writing it? If it's by Karen Travissty, no thanks.

She finished her trilogy of novels two years ago.

I doubt she'll be doing any more work on Halo.

Besides, 343 are getting loads of sci-fi authors to do books now. John Shirley, Peter David, Troy Denning and Greg Bear included.

Also Matt Forbeck who did New Blood about Buck. That... book was great.
And Halo: Shadow of Intent by Staten.

But he's already worked on halo with the games and Contact Harvest.

Whereas the others are all established sci-fi authors themselves.

The plan was that the domain would heal his mind, but that got destroyed when the Iso-Didact fired the array
Well... New lore suggests otherwise

Well, yeah. But that's a whole other topic of speculation n'shit.

6927
Wait....theres two Didacts? Fuck....i haven't  been versed in the lore as of late but i thought I had a grip on it.....

Can i get a please explain? :c

The first Didact was the one we saw in Halo 4. He was the one who went to war with ancient humans and destroyed their civilisation, before going into a Cryptum for a long time on Earth. Eventually, he was woken by a young forerunner of the name Bornstellar-Makes-Eternal-Lasting, and basically kidnapped Bornstellar and his two human companions (One of whom ended up being put into Guilty Spark).

In the Forerunner-Flood war, the original Didact, Shadow-Of-Sundered-Star (The Ur-Didact) would get captured by the Primordial for fifty years, and was effectively MIA. So Bornstellar had the Didact's memories and mind implanted onto his and became the commander of the Forerunner military - the Iso-Didact.

The Ur-Didact got mind fucked by a Gravemind and went slightly mad at the end, eventually forcing the Librarian to put him in a Cryptum inside a shield world. The plan was that the domain would heal his mind, but that got destroyed when the Iso-Didact fired the array and 100 millenia of isolation only served to turn the Forerunner even more insane.

And that's why he's not very nice in Halo 4. Iso-Didact liked humans. Ur despises them.

6928
That's why the books released during their time with Halo were good.
Nylund is a pretty great author. I wish he would have been involved in the story creation of the games.

At least we're getting staten working on Shadow of Intent in December.

6929
Are you going to play Halo 2 as well?
Not immediately after.

Fair enough. It tightens up the vehicle mechanics, definitely. And it provides some more covenant story, too.

Halo is like Star Wars. The first one was a good plot that wrapped itself up nicely while leaving itself open for a sequel. Then the second one comes along and ramps things up even more then the third one comes along and introduces budget wookies fighting stormtroopers in a miraculous key down.

Then the prequel comes along and is shit.

Then the franchise gets taken over by another company and starts putting out some pretty good content (I think E7 looks amazing) and lifts the franchise up from what it's previous owner left. Who then goes and makes kingdom of the crystal skull and watches as his fanbase crumbles.

The analogy is scarily accurate.
