I'm autistic, poor, and gay with body dysmorphia, what do I win?
It will be okay, dear. But please remember that you're fucking white and a cis male. Two of the worst classes of society. Gay people can still be extremely oppressive to minorities, and as a cisgender male you are part of the patriarchy. This is a radfem website, SELF CRIT!
How am I cis?
You're clanker scum.

I played this game for three hours and all I remember is that it was boring and the art style was fucking awful. Though xbox says I last played it in august 2015 so maybe it got better.

But yeah the people who design all the characters should be shot

i have nothing but respect for the character artists tbh

they could have just as easily made something generic looking to appeal to more people but they stuck with something intentionally niche because it suited their vision far better

DE is genuinely one of the best developers in the industry right now

its not like halo 5 where the armour designs feel inconsistent with established aesthetic. all the warframes fit perfectly in this run down world of mutilation and death. it really grows on you.

I just find that almost everything looks really ugly, and not in the sense of this is supposed  to envoke disgust, more just none of it looks good at all. It all feels too overdesigned.

I suppose it's the fantasy element of it I dislike. I like scifi with designs that look practical and functional so warframe offends me. But it's probably one of the only games where the art style put me off playing. Bleh.

That top image you posted is probably one of the only halfway decent designs they have though.

I will always love Halo 4 but I will admit that they took to long to nerf the fucking DMR and fix the BR.
I seriously want to know what the hell they were thinking when they originaly balanced those two, especially the DMR.

The game got alot better after that although Plasma Pistols and Grenades still often wreaked havok on big team. Flinch was also a mistake and the game was unplayable without stability.
I must be the one person who never
The game still had tons of issues that ultimately drove 95% of the playerbase away. Halo 4 is shit and a disgrace of a game to the series.

I prefer it to 5 and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I actually thought halo 4's base gameplay by itself wasn't terrible and had some fun moments

ok on reflection "it wasn't terrible by itself" and "could be fun at times" isn't exactly high praise

Is it weird to say Reach is one of, if not my favourite game in the series but quite possibly one of the worst in the series? That big reach discussion a couple days back got me thinking about it.

Like, Reach easily has my favourite art direction - everything just looks great (particularly the vehicles and armours) and soundtrack (The military style really did work, especially the remixes of other OST songs) and they all work together really well to create a really atmospheric game second only probably to ODST.  I love the more military and grounded feel of everything from the way cutscene cameras are always mounted on something to look like a real camera to the way Auntie Dot does the mission briefings. The customs and forge were also really great and I spent way too long in those modes, and Invasion was neat and hasn't really had a good successor yet. Firefight and custom gametypes was neat, too, outside those stupid Arcade modes in the playlists

However, it definitely hasn't aged well. A lot of the experimental mechanics like bloom just don't work very well or feel good anymore (as someone who was never really bothered by it) and the level design for MP was pretty atrocious. Although the forge was great I always really wished they'd have kept the forge mode on Reach too with human themed stuff rather than the grey metal of the Forerunners that isn't relevant to the game itself. Where 2 and 3 still hold up pretty well, Reach feels kind of weird to play. It was also the game that started the paper vehicles trend. Noble could have also used more development, though I never really found any of the main game characters all that interesting so it's not a huge issue for me. I mean, they never really annoyed me and I'd definitely be more interested in a novel about their history than one of Osiris or some shit.

So yeah. I love the game because of how it establishes a grounded and gritty military scifi tone with the planet being invaded, but at the same time it really hasn't aged well in the gameplay department.

I usually just go out for a meal with my parents and go to a museum or the cinema or something. This year I went to the Royal Armouries in Leeds with my parents and grandma. It was fucking cool.

I'm not really one for parties. Aside from a party-ish thing at the cricket club for my 18th (because i guess being 18 is special or something) where I met a bunch of my family I'd not seen for a while I've not had a party in years.

I heard that the producers confirmed he does actually have spider sense, but they didn't want to do a big slo-mo moment. And also they wanted to show him still getting used to his powers and whatnot.

The more I think about how Olenna Tyrell and her army got dealt with in such a quick and easy way, the dumber this whole show seems to me. "Fighting never was our forte". So how were they ever valued as a military ally in the previous seasons if they could just be destroyed using zero effort. Despite the fact that Jaime had to siege one of the major castles in the show, he still manages to get it done immediately and presumably without any loss to his army. It seems like the sizes of everyone's armies are being left intentionally vague and undefined so that stuff like this can keep happening regardless of logic. Cersei is just going to keep implausibly gaining the upper hand to increase the "drama", until Daenerys inevitably wins in the end despite all odds.
I figured the main bulk of the Tyrell's were with Dany on Dragonstone at the time. They could've literally just said that and I wouldn't have had a problem with it, but for some reason DABID had to go with "the Tyrell's are essentially just pussies lmao".

Even then, there's no rationality behind taking a fortified castle in a day, army or no army. I can buy the whole "learning from our mistakes with Robb Stark" tactical move but storming a castle within the space of a couple scene transitions just reeks of bullshittery.

BUT THERE'S ONLY SO MANY EPISODES LEFT JUST DONT THINK ABOUT IT

No all the episodes don't take place in the same timeframe anymore so that excuses any time disrepancy there is.

Why didn't ya tell us the new episode was out

No one seemed too bothered about the cool imc one aside from you last time.

Still, we hit over 1,000 views in less than 24hours and our first one is sitting on 2,000, with nearly 200 subs. So that's nice. We're hoping to be a bit more regular with content now, and I think the next one will be covering the Odyssey/ Relic/ Colony/ MacAllan's mutiny stuff. Should be a good one, I hope.
you should upload it to [RDDT] if you haven't and if you're allowed too

Games

Good Setting/ Worldbuilding/ Lore (Including scientific accuracy in a space game or historical accuracy in a history game) > Art Style/ Aesthetic > Good game mechanics > Story > Characters > Consistent frame rate.

I mean, mechanics I enjoy a lot can make up for worse storytelling (EG Fallout 4) and for me, a good art style can pretty much let me ignore a game's technical or gameplay faults (Titanfall 1 or Halo Reach). But I do love exploring and learning about worlds that are well-written and designed with consistency and scientific accuracy -  stuff like why an alien race is invading earth for water when there's a shit ton more floating around in space bothers me. I enjoy picking apart the faults in futuristic tanks and stuff. Similarly, Metro 2033 was a very clunky shooter, but I love the world and atmosphere of the game so I can ignore that aspect of the game.

Stuff like appreciation for little details (Like in Titanfall 2, where you can see Lastimosa loading the Smart Pistol into his Titan at the start that you end up using in the final mission) and whatnot are nice but never deal breakers.

Also i value a replayable campaign much more than a long one. Halo 5 had 15 missions but I can safepy say I never want to touch it again, but Titanfall 2 has 8 or 9 and I'm always going back to replay the missions because of how good the gameplay and level design are.

For Films I just want consistent writing and plots that make sense. If a character(s) are not doing the option that would be logical and easiest, I want to know why. By that same logic, I appreciate well-thought out or at least good looking designs. Avatar is hardly a very deep film or whatever but I fucking adore the designs of the spaceship, the mechs and the general equipment employed by the RDA. Good fight or battle scenes can also win me over even if the characterisation is worse (Scarif in Rogue One for example). But a bad battle scene (Hobbit 3) is just boring.

I guess it just comes down to that I like Scifi and fantasy settings with good worldbuilding. Bonus points awarded for logical designs of spacecraft, equipment, castles etc. If it has good art direction and a setting that makes me intrigued I'll be willing to overlook some stuff. I just like the technical aspects of them.

Man I love when they ruined Invasion, the only worthwhile playlist in reach, by adding a bunch of shit forge maps.
Invasion was ruined the day Reach was released by only having 2 maps for it and never getting any updates or balance changes.
Invasion was still fun on Boneyard, Spire and the one-in-a-million match on Breakpoint. But yeah, it deserved better. Considering it never got any update, I think it still holds up rather well when compared to the rest of the game.
