As if Halo wasn't already Cock of Duty.
There's nothing wrong with making maps from CoD into Halo.
They play surprisingly well in Halo too.
I actually made the Unreal Tournament map (The one before 2004, I think) Deck 16 on Halo Reach. That played surprisingly well, too.

That's awesome. Did you do the surrounding area?
Also would you mind helping me finish Highrise?
I did a bunch of cliffs and a military base out of the map. Didn't copy that from the original. Anyway, I've never actually played a extensive amount of call of duty. The only one I own is advance warfare because I thought it looked like Titanfall but it turned out shit. I made this based off of reference images on google. Then a friend who played this a lot helped me with spawn locations because e basically knew them by heart. I'm doing shipment next an that on on that cruiser that was grenade spam central. I did modify this slightly for Halo gameplay. That big antenna on the side means you can jump down to the sniper tower on the left, and a small ramp made from a railing that gives a third way up to the top area. I'll help though. If you still want me to. I do like forge. I made an aircraft carrie once that spanned half the length of forge world, that was cool.

Play on XB1. It's got a pretty large playerbase, still. I mean, it's no worse than Halo Reach or 4.
Anyway, smart pistol is super easy to beat. R10C that bitch up.

Couldn't find a copy in any of those flea markets, unfortunately. Decided I would get a copy over at Amazon instead. Should be here in a week <_<
Looks like I won't get the game finished by August after all. Oh well.
Get halo 2 as well, if you can
I already have it. Didn't I mention this?
So are you going to gett a 360 if you decide to keep playing the series?
Ummmm, well, I'll have to if I plan on playing Halo 3, but that's gonna be a loooong time from now. Unless Halo 2's story is so amazing that I must get one immediately after beating it. So, we'll see.
how the fuck do you guys know which consoles I own/don't own, anyway
Will you read a couple of the books?
Ummmmm. No, probably not. I actually bought Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike many years ago, for the sole purpose of looking cool to my friends <_<
Not that I'm not interested in the series lore, or anything--I am, but... I don't know. Books are books, games are games. Games happen to be interactive, and, well, fun. Books can kinda be a drag to read. Unless I'm actually learning something interesting or useful, I don't normally have the patience for them.
I guess I don't want to just flat-out say "no", so, consider that another "we'll see".
What I want to do is finish playing the games first--then I can start getting into all that other bullshit, if I so desire.
Don't think you did mention it. Here's a list in order of release Fall of Reach Flood First Strike Ghosts of Onyx The Cole Protocol Contact Harvest Evolutions (short story anthology) I and II Glasslands The Thursday War Mortal Dictata Cryptum Primordium Silentium Broken Circle New Blood Hunters in the Dark Saint's Testimony (Ebook novella) Last light (September release) Shadow of Intent (December Release) Also the comics Halo: The Graphic Novel Halo: Bloodline (4 issues) Halo: Helljumper (4 issues) Halo: The Fall of Reach adaptation (4 issues) Halo: Uprising (4 Issues) Halo: Initiation (3 Issues) Halo: Escalation (21 released, 24 planned total) And the filmography Legends (8 part anime series, available on YouTube) Forward Unto Dawn Infinity Nightfall There's also the reference books and the arg's and a bunch of other stuff, but I've already fine overboard

It's a game series with nuclear cars, robot butlers, laser and plasma weapons in a setting with no microchip and aliens.
And you're complaining about the plants. It's a 50's vision of the future, I wouldn't worry about the science.
I'm not complaining about anything >.>
I'm just asking on your opinion as to if it's realistic....I know its just a game, but discussion is nice.
I mean more the setting. It's not one to think about realistically. It's an alternate timeline.
Anyway. Plants grow in Hiroshima, Nagasaki and even Chernoybl now. So no.
Besides, 200 years after a nuclear war and on one coast, there's already several nations close to becoming a post-war superpower (NCR, Legion, pre-Navarro Enclave, Brotherhood) and on the east coast, the capital wasteland has towns built from scrap.
However, the Mojave is a desert IRL, and House basically stopped any kind of nuclear detonation in that area. So New Vegas and it's surrounding area are virtually the same as they were before.
There's a reason everyone criticises Bethesda's writing. They can create really fun games and amazing worldspaces, but don't think too hard about the writing. Imagine Fallout 3 is set 180 years prior and it becomes a lot more believable.
Like, the simple fact that there is a flowing River and not a spit of green >.>
I know its been like that since Fallout 1, but a peeve for one as I. I wonder....in Fallout 4 if the landscape is going to have any sign of, natural life.
The Potomac has dried up in several places. It doesn't appear to be flowing, more an extension of the sea. And the water is still heavily irradiated.

I'm surprised. I thought you didn't like driving the 'Hog. Ugh, imagine what that would be like on ice....

It 1HK's pretty much all the enemies in the game. And the 5x scope is adequate for intense quickscoping, so you shouldn't really have any problems with it. but it has a shitty rate of fire and all other weapons do the job just fine
sorry for thinking that snipers are for sniping
It functions better as a sniper when you get to the larger environments. Just the name of a level, but you're iffy about sppoilers so I'll leave this up to you Assault on the Control Room, Keyes and Two Betrayals really open up the sandbox with much larger areas than what you've really seen (Silent Cartographer excluded) thus far. Especially when you get the larger ai battles going on between marines and covenant that draw a lot of the attention away from you. Also, here's a protip for later on; marines in this game were not programmed to drive vehicles apart from ghosts. So when you get to drive a tank later, if you want to go on foot, they'll abandon it as well. You won't be getting any armoured support in this game.

-Sniper is never useless. Git gud. i never said it was useless
i said i had no use for it
when you are getting shot at in all directions, hmm, maybe that's not the best time to use the sniper
it's not a matter of "durrr git gud"
at all

I wonder how long it'll take him to do 343GS and The Library
He likes Halo shotguns, so probably not as long as we're guessing. I mean, Rockets and Shotties on the library basically covers all bases.

Is Verb finished yet? I wanna see him rip into this shit in his review.
Progress: The Silent Cartographer I'll give you three guesses.
Is that the last level? I don't play gaylo
There's a list of them all in the OP.

This thread just reminded me of the CoD maps I made in Reach and Halo 4 long ago.
I remade Shipment, Mission, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Highrise, and Salvage. I tried to make them as identical to their CoD designs as possible and I did a pretty good job. Wish my Xbox still read games so I could see them again.
I also made one of the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer maps. Firebase White I think was its name?
There was a lot of firebases on ME3.
I was right, it was Firebase White

Yeah. I liked that map. I hated the Noveria missions in ME1 though.

I'll be doing a solo run first though.
This. I want to do at least two runs before I subject myself to Microsoft's shitty servers. Past experience has taught me to be wary of online co-op in halo. And wary I shall be.

Normal the the default difficulty.
Play Halo 5 with us, Lemon
only if i get to be kelly
.-.
You're a disgraces
kelly is the best spartan
I feel like I'm the only perosn here who wants to play Vale the most on team Osiris. I really liked her as a character in Hunters in the Dark. and besides, everyone will be squabbling over Locke and Buck, so I get a choice I want
then there's tanaka who has appeared in a couple escalation issues and no one really cares about her
I was joking.
Despite actually not liking a lot of the new team because I just don't like Locke, I want to play as Buck, obviously.
But I'll be playing as Locke (help me) because I'll be hosting. I don't know about this new team. It's just 'eh, whatever'
I just want to play as Chief and Fred. Kelly and Linda, whatever man I don't care, as long as I can see the story at the end of the day.
It seems like you'll e able to pick in co-op as opposed to Halo 3's first come first served thing. Also, Vale was in a book with the Halo 3 co-op guys. They were cool. Normal the the default difficulty.

Kelly is the best, she's A++
I liked Vale in Hunters in the Dark, but that ending felt so tacked on just as a reason to have her become a Spartan.
I still despise everything about Broadside one being in that story. Havign what essentially amounts to a boss fight kind of ruined it for me. However, her Universe Article sheds some more light on why she was picked. Which is good.
