The Flood / Re: What do you consider your ideal night?
« on: August 23, 2015, 04:31:50 PM »
Sex, going out for dinner, seeing a movie, but not necessarily in that order.

Or just cuddles and Netflix.

>.>
<.<

I don't get why everyone likes netflix so much. I had it for several months, and only watchd Daredevil and Firefly. So I cancelled it, eventually. Tried watching house of cards but it was boring so eh.
well that's probably because the british netflix is shit or so i've heard
Yeah, aside from getting certain American shows earlier than the US (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) apparently it's not that great.

US version is basically a gateway to sex.

i am dead serious

I really don't underrstand that logic.

I get the feeling it's like how the simpsons have four digits on their hands, but still have everything the same as us- you don't question it. You just accept it and move on.

Because both of them don't really make sense.
Okay, maybe I misspoke with the "US version" part, but I'm not sure what else to tell you >.>

Feels like I'm trying to convince someone the sky is blue.

I guess I'm just really innocent then. If someone had asked me over to watch netflix, I'd have been getting them to watch Daredevil or Gotham or something <.<

Such an innocent soul...

Night's the worst time of day for me. That's usually when I feel the shittiest.

It also happens to be when I have my best ideas, drive, and motivation apparently. It's the most lopsided, polarized fucking combo I can think of. Ideal night for me?

Music to set the mood. Total quiet outside of the mood, no interuptions. Total darkness. And either writing like mad or working on something in G-mod.

I never really got Gmod. I played it, but I never really saw what the point of it was, all anyone seemed to do was attach rocket boosters to bathtubs and lol at how funny it was.

I just spawned NPCs and made them fight to the death. It honestly felt, to me, more like a crappier, less intuitive version of Forge or the Far Cry map editor.

But I was like, 11 last time I played it so that might have affected it.

Actually, sleeping through the entire thing and having half decent dreams would be nice.

I just sleep really heavily to the point where, if I do dream, I don't remember anything that happened.

Maybe. Can't imagine what is on american that isn't on british, though. Most of the shows I watch are american. GoT is on Amazon Prime, Walking Dead idk (But I have the dvds so w/e). Then stuff like Flash/ Arrow or SHIELD I don't think are on it at all, afaik.

Annoyingly, they did add Gotham a week after I cancelled it. I loved that show.

Or maybe my tastes are just niche. I basicallyonly really watch sci-fi and superhero stuff. I'm a sucker for anything that Marvel/ DC puts out right now. I would say Fox regarding their stuff, but lolfantasticflop.

Deadpool looks great, though.

Like, when you're happiest. I only say night because it's night for me.

Right now, I'm just sat here with my laptop. Listening to Knights of Cydonia, doing some writing and alone in the house. I just feel really happy right about now. Oh and it's raining outside, so that's nice, as well. This is when I'm probably at my most content. I know, I really am a boring fucker.

What about you? What is it that makes you feel at your happiest?

Team Fortress 2
Dark Souls
Sports as a general thing
Vines (Like, the seven second video thing. I consider it spam on my feed and black any account that posts it)
Halo 3 :^)
MOBAs. DOTA, League, Smite. Dislike the genre.
Nintendo as a general thing
The Battle Rifle in any Halo game
Matt Smith's Doctor Who (Seasons 5-7)
The Beatles, Queen, all that 'era' of music
More or less anything that plays on the radio
The Royal Family (People round here love them for some reason)
Valve games. I thibk that Half-Life and Portal are both pretty good, but jesus fuck everything valve does is soooo overhyped

I don't think OP has a choice.

So I'm omega?

Awesome.
Say that about yourself with caution. Deci claimed to be Omega.

oh

Buuuuut... You're talking to a guy who has turned down potential girlfriends because fuck that shit. I have more important things to do with my time.

Maybe I just have a bad impression of the whole thing, considering my last girlfriend basically said to me I had to choose her or video games, and I made the obvious choice.

i know about the flood lol

i browse a forum named after it

Eh. Fair enough.

didn't know just how much you knew of CE's story, and well...

the Flood are a massive game-changer.

Also, toexpand on the book thing from before. Have you been wondering where you're getting all of your guns and troops from? Because the novelisation only spends a couple of chapters on john's POV. Most of the book is set from the Covenant point of view and the marines who were conducting their own battles elsewhere.

So if you're wondering where you're resupplying and refuelling and such, it is explained. Just not in the game.

All of the guitar parts of Halo 2's soundtrack were ruined in the anniversary version. Which is a shame, because the rest of the new version is fantastic.

Gaming / Re: Do you go out of your way to get achievements/trophies?
« on: August 23, 2015, 05:29:08 AM »
I tend to. I've 100%'ed Halo Reach, 4, Fallout 3, Vegas and Skyrim. I've near 100'ed battlefield 4 on 360 and vanilla Saint's Row 3. I have over three quarters of the achievements available in MCC, too.

They're a way of proving certain feats, which is good
