IIRC in Halos 2 & 3 the explanation was real-time translation provided by Chief's suit. In Halo 5 it's apparently to show that Jul M'dama is losing grip of his forces and they're protesting him by speaking the humans' language.
But I don't think that explains the aliens simply lacking the physiology to speak English. (Four mouth flaps with teeth doesn't seem practical in any universe, but it's better to not think about these things >.>)
Some Sangheili can speak English, and do so by pressing their mandibles together to form "lips". The Arbiter is one example, I believe Jul M'dama is another.

Yes. Halo 4 concept art shows that they have a tongue. When they aren't using it, it's inside their neck rather than in their mouth. It also has a tube in it like a big straw and that's how they can drink. Very alien, very practical for them.

As previously stated, translation software. Since they took over 343 has developed a Sangheili language that they speak in cutscenes and gameplay. It's not just random gibberish unlike what is in Reach.

If you're looking into getting Escalation, start with the Next 72 Hour arc (Master Chief one) since that takes place right after Halo 4
You're pretty much good to read the rest in any order I think, but you may want to read 11/12 before the Absolute Record arc. (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Aside from 72H and issue #7 and issues 17 and 18 (The glass horizon, Tanaka's intro arc) you'll want to read them in order. Spirit of fire follows diplomatic meeting, the Kig-Yar pirates follow Spirit, Janus Key follows Kig-Yar and Absolute Record follows Janus.

A) Bring anarchy back. I don't see why it was removed.
B) I know it's a priority, but still. Mobile site. The current one is slow and hard to use on mobile. I use it a lot, more than the desktop version so I can go more in depth if you want.
C) I think it's wierd that some usesers are banned from serious when others aren't. I don't really want to call anyone out (Mainly because I can't think of anyone now. It's more of an as and when I see them kind of thing), but it seems really inconsistent.
D) I don't think psy should be a mod. He uses dirty REEEEEod bot tricks on Metro, and he's not trustworthy.

Wee seen Majestic at least in the script for Halo 5. You can see in the Hero Awakens ViDoc a couple pages of the script that have the names of one of the majestic members iirc
we know tedra and madsen are in halo 5 to some unknown extent
I'm hoping this means we get to see Ray in game, as well. She's the only character I can think of that's relevant to modern lore but hasn't had an in-game appearance yet.

Master Chief wasn't that special (fir a Spartan) before the battle of Alpha Halo. Not from the Covenant's perspective.
But wasn't he reffered to as the Demon after the event's of Halo:CE? As in, he's the worst of the worst to them.
That's because Bungie refused to acknowledge the existence of the books. Or you could argue that pretty much all of them died on reach and John was mostly alone in his engagements henceforth. If there's one fighting you, you'd refer to it singularly.

I would have preferred Macer in Buck's place, then make Buck and Romeo into Headhunters in the S-IV program. Or part of another squad. Like, with Thorne or Ray or that Wr Master spartan guy from Spartan Assault or something.
Wait. With the specialisation program from Halo 4, I wonder if the Headhunters also count as a specialisation. Img in if we could have had headhunter/ SPI armour in Halo 4 instead of lolwetwork armour.

lol what a fucking dumb cutscene, according to the Canaan, most Spartans died during the training, these enhanced ODST Spartans should have been unconscious during the free fall.
They died in augmentation, not training. Advances in technology and experience with what four Spartan program's has allowed the UNSC a nearly 100% success rate in their adult augmentations. Do your research before complaining.

Yeah, they're supersoldiers that are very agile and can pull off incredible feats. This is pretty established in the canon.
This cutscene reflects Spartans capabilities.
Disregarding that he's comparing two vastly different SPARTAN classes, of course.
Even then, the S-IIs are capable of pulling off pretty amazing stunts.
Like seriously. Bungie's portrayal is so disconnected from the canon that S-IIs in their games and S-IIs in the books are basically different things.
Like John barely outrunning the plasma beam at the end of 'Regret' in Halo 2. So stupid.
I think Halo Wars has the most accurate portrayal in the Mobsters cutscene. And that's pretty similar to what we're getting here.

The NCR and Legion woul take decades to get anywhere near the east coast. They're not going to be mentioned. The most mention they'll get is if there's something like Veronica mentioning a Brotherhood civil war out east. And even that is doubtful. We're more likely to see the Pitt or the Institute mentioned before the NCR/ Legion.
