Chances are, you're going to get lost. This mission does that the first time.

Also, the devs got pretty lazy because everything after The Library is copypasta of te terrain from other levels. But you play it backwards!

Because Sunaion (which is a region, not a planet) totally sounds more ridiculous than Hesduros, Saepon'Kal (AKA Joyous Exultation, the planet hit by a NOVA nuke) or Te.

The Flood / Re: how much would you say you've changed in the past two years?

two years ago, i could very well have been considered antisocial with the amount of time i spent alone in my room dicking around. my views on drugs were also very verby-like, and i remained sober throughout high school,

Same. Except that's still how I am, probably moreso now, after spending a year of sixth form and half a year's worth of summer holidays alone (Didn't really know anyone at sixth form) Not that I'm complaining, mind. I like isolation.

Anyway. Changes? More interest in physics, know more code,I spend a lot of time dicking around on photoshop now.

Oh yeah, my scifi universe is waaay more complete now than it was. Though I don't really have an end pls for my writing, it's a mind excessive thing for me when I have nothing to, so I doubt I'll ever stop it.

I've also got more healthy. Not intentionally, I'm just stingy and don't like to get a bus when I can walk. So going from a 20 minute walk home to an hour walk home means I get more exercise a week. That 16 miles or something I walk a week is probably good for me. It's the only exercise I get. That said, I pretty much only drink water now because I don't like buying drinks when I can get water for free so eh.

That Sangheili at the beginning sounds female.

I'm getting a feeling that the woman who designed the Helioskrill armour is both the Sangheili on the cover of Shadow and this voice here.

It does some pretty conveinent for timing doesn't it?

Does it? I doubt it's anything but planned.

Just watching the cinema thing.

The 117 remix is giving me chills. Halo 5's OST is probably going to be my favourite, I think.

I liked the concept art in the menu.
The New Alexandria art was the best. That one hardly ever showed up for me though. I would always see the one with the Covenant carriers glassing the ground.

The art is dependant on the mission you've just played/ quit. WC-Nightfall is the title art, ToTS and LNoS is the Battle concept art, Exodus and NA are NA art and everything after that is Reach being glassed.

Gaming / Re: In what order should I be reading the halo comics?
« on: September 14, 2015, 03:38:46 PM »
After reading up on what each series pertains to, I guess I'm just going to be reading escalation, because I'm confused as all hell as to what happens with the didact after halo 4.
Thanks everyone.

If that's all you're interested in in regards to Escalation, you may as well only read issues #8, #9 and #10 as they are their own thing.

Issues #1-#6, #11 to #16 and #19 to #24 are a direct continuation of the Spartan Ops storyline. #8-#10 are Blue Team, #17-#18 are the introduction of Spartan Tanaka and #7 is it's own thing about Thorne going back to Phoenix.

The Fall of Reach
Graphic Novel (4 unrelated stories)
Uprising
Helljumper
Bloodline
Halo Wars: Genesis (LE of Halo Wars)
Inititiation
Escalation

None of them are really related, so take your pic as to which to read first.

Verb. Heroic is called what it is on Halo 3 and later because the games after Halo 2 are really fuckin' easy.

Also, I'll give some insight as to the Covenant's motives. Bungie never expected the series to take off the way it did so there wa never too much in the game, and they simply didn't care about expanded universe when they did the later games like ODST and Reach.

This wouldn't be in a spoiler if it wasn't a spoiler

The Halo array wipes out all life in the galaxy when activated. This is because the Flood pretty much destroyed the Forerunners long ago, and it was a last-ditch effort: they can't kill the flood, but they can kill the food, and starve the flood to death.

Anyway, the Covenant misinterpret Forerunner stuff they found and see mentions of a 'Great Journey" they would go on if they activate the array. They believe that walking the path/ going on the great journey would allow them to follow in the Forerunner's footsteps and become gods. Because they think the Halos allow them to transcend mortality.

Thing is, Forerunners liked humans. At first contact, a Covenant luminary (A device that detected forerunner tech) detected millions of objects on the world we would come to know as Harvest. It turns out that the luminary was detecting the humans themselves, but the Brutes (You'll meet them further down the line if you play Halo 2) decided the humans were hiding the relics. Now. On the Covenant's capital, there is a Forerunner ship docked- it houses a Forerunner AI named Mendicant Bias, that was tasked with the Forerunner militaries before the array fired. This AI basically told three of the Covenant's leadership "Hey. Everything you think is wrong, and te humans are the cool guys. Oh, and fuck you." Naturally, the Prophets know that if this knowledge spread, it would result in the dissolution of the empire (I'll get to that) and so they decide to keep it quiet and encourage the ideal tht humans are heretics and must be wiped out. So at first, you're simply fighting for your own continued survival. Later, you're fighting to make sure you don't wipe out every creature in the galaxy.

*The two main warrior castes - Sangheili and Jiralhanae (Elites and Brutes) and the two 'cannon fodder' castes - Kig-Yar and Unggoy (Jackals an Grunts) despise each other. Without a common goal, the Covenant would collapse in a bloody civil war.

Reach. Because at least it had a story. And a multiplayer that was nowhere near as broken as destiny

Also the lag. It's way too much.

If it worked, definitely chief collection. If you just want the campaigns (Me), then it's worth it now.

Any Bethesda DLC for their games (Well, post-oblivion games). Everything for fallout 3/ Vegas and Skyrim is worth the money it costs. Even hearthfire, because it cost half the regular price.

Speaking of Bethesda, Fallout 3/ Vegas and Skyrim are also worth the money you pay.

Bruh, shivering isles is one of the best dlc's I've ever played.

Horse armour will forever be a stain on Oblivion's dinner jacket.

I love how the plot for revenge if the Sith got spoiled because the Lego Star Wars game came out before the film.

There's less dialogue because all the marines get slaughtered.

Careful, you might make that Dragon-whatever-his-name-is-guy sperg out.
That's funny coming from the guy who has a nervous breakdown whenever I say Titanfall

Anyway I'm just waiting for my backward compatibility. I'm actually pretty bored with the BRs on Lock-down Collection.

No it isn't. Not for another two days.

Depends on how you determine its age. Some people already had leaked copys days before release. The game went Gold in August I believe. Not to mention the beta.

I'm pretty sure most people and official stuff class the actual release date.

So babies aren't alive until  the day they are born?

I don't know of anyone who celebrates their birthday on the date their parents did the deed.

Just say you're pro abortion.

I don't really see how that's relevant at all, but okay. Yes.
this is how all debates should go down

eh?

fallout 4

if you're already getting it, buy a second copy
I wasn't planning on it. I want to play Fallout 3 and New Vegas first.

Well, you don't need to play them first. They have no relation to each other, besides being set in the same universe.
