I used to have really long hair probably until about three years ago. It eventually got a bit annoying because my hair grows really thick. I keep it around medium length now.

What is wrong with The Librarian?
Introduced in a cliche way in Halo 4. Her only purpose was to dump information on what's happening in a cutscene.
That, and looking fucking generic.

At the moment The Expanse is my go-to. Funnily enough the premise started out as a concept for an MMO before switching to a novel series.

Who is buying it for PC?

I'd love to but (((BUNGiE))) locks progress to networks so im going to have to go with Xbone

Were there any benefits carried over from importing a destiny 1 character? And is it not possible to using a destiny 1 character on D2 PC?
The game opens recounting all the major achievements you did in the first (completing campaigns, raids etc), who you did them with and when. But that's before you select a character.

As best I can tell, actually importing a character from the first game just lets you skip the still-terrible face customisation and go straight into the story. You also get an emblem or something but that's basically it. In practical terms starting a new character and sticking to an existing one are exactly the same.

Daily reminder that Halo 2 has better player customization than Halo 5
Remember when we had all of the emblems available and not locked behind a paywall
Remember how you had to unlock them at certain ranks in h4?

Good times
Unless you're being sarcastic, that was a stupid decision as well. All emblems should be available to everyone as soon as you load up the game.
It was a fucking terrible idea.

I thought you knew me better than that.
Well you like Reach and Halo 4 so I don't know what to believe anymore
I like Reach for the aesthetics and forge and I just think 4 is better than 5 in almost every way, but 5 isn't exactly a high bar because of how terrible it is.
Spoiler
Unless you mean stuff I said more than a year ago which I tend to disregard

Wtf aine was supposed to crash her plane

i can't wait to shit on mass effect
Nobody cares about your childish opinions.
that's why so many people ask me about them right

i'm gonna shit on mass effect and i'm gonna love me3's ending
who asks you about your opinions on anything lmao

If anything you should be offended when people here do inquire into your opinions and beliefs because they see you as a circus act. You sure as hell act like one a lot.

Plenty of people hate Mass Effect. I thought it was a dumb generic sci fi game too and with the whole romance thing it just totally turned me off from even trying it. But (the first game especially) has a real charm. You'd probably like it if you could find a way to not be negative for 3 seconds.
Mass Effect 1 is the series' peak and the sequels weren't as good

This is fact

Are you gonna play Titanfall 2 at some point? It's a real short campaign so you could probably beat it in 5 hours, tops.
there was that time when my friend brought over his xbox one, and i tried it out

seems fun, but like i said before, i wanna start playing games in release order from now on

even if the first game sucks

or maybe i'll just cave in and play it, idk, anything's possible
First game didn't have a singleplayer campaign, it was a series of multiplayer missions with a radio play over the top that no one really paid attention to unless they were me because I get autistic about that stuff.

I don't know if you'd be able to even find a coherent campaign at this point because it's basically impossible to get the missions in the right order as the same faction. Luckily, 2 is barely connected to 1 outside some offhand references.

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind fumbling in ignorance, Incapable of understanding. There is a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it. I am beyond your comprehension. I am Sovereign...

'Reaper,' a label created by the Protheans to give voice to their destruction. In the end what they chose to call us is irreverent, we simply are. Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither and die. We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything. The cycle cannot be broken. The pattern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom. Organic civilizations rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory they are extinguished. The Protheans were not the first. They did not create the Citadel. They did not forge the mass relays. They mere found them - the legacy of my kind.  Your civilization is based on the technology of the mass relays. Our technology. By using it, your civilization develops along the paths we desire. We impose order on the chaos of organic life. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it. My kind transcends your very understanding. We are each a nation - independent, free of all weakness. You cannot grasp the nature of our existence. We have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure. Your words are as empty as your future. I am the vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over.

i knew before i even read this it was some shitty halo quote
Have you never played a Mass Effect game or seen someone talk about it for more than three seconds?

Season passes died when they got cancerous enough there was a major pushback. Give it a few years for something like paid mod (microtransactions) to actually make proper mods unusable or something equally as ballsy and people will stop buying into it. Shadow of War has been brought up already, as an example.

I tend to place Halo Reach as my favourite in the series because of the aesthetic, the fun campaign and the forge and customs, though it's probably one of the worst mechanically in the series.
Spoiler
1. Star Wars Battlefront II
2. Halo Reach
3. Titanfall 2
4. Fallout New Vegas
5. Halo 3
6. Halo 2 Anniversary (multiplayer)
7. Titanfall
8. Fallout 3
9. Halo 3 ODST
10. Star Wars Battlefront I (2004)
11. Halo CE
12. Halo 2 (mainly for campaign, I'm not big on its multiplayer)
13. Mass Effect
14. Mass Effect 2
15. Mass Effect 3
16: Metro 2033 (Redux)
17: Metro Last Light (Redux)
18: Far Cry 3
19: Fallout 4
20: Skyrim
21: Far Cry 4
22: Ratchet and Clank 2
23: Ratchet and Clank 3
24: Ratchet: Gladiator
25: Battlefield 4
26: Bad Company 2
27: Battlefield 3
28: Elite Dangerous
29: Saint's Row: The Third
30: Saint's Row IV
31: Ratchet and Clank
32: Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
33: Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
34: Lego Star Wars
35: Wolfenstein: The New Order (Would be higher but I've only played through it once)
36 Half-Life (same as Wolfenstein)
37: Half-Life 2 (also same as Wolfenstein)
Some other notable mentions I guess would be Alien Isolation and DOOM 2016, but I haven't finished either yet. I also really enjoyed the campaign of Infinite Warfare but that's because it really appealled to my niche and want for EVA space combat, bug it definitely wasn't mechanically good enough.

I suppose doing that list made me realise that I really don't buy many games. Honestly, anything past ODST I could probably reorder and still be fine with.

/tg/ has some great science fiction discussions too. It's basically the only place online where I can have decent star wars discussions.

I really have no clue, I don't even like the game and I'm baffled it's not on there, especially with its obvious preference for newer games.

Holy shit why does 343 insist on the carry frigates inside a bigger ship meme

SPACE IS A VACCUUM

THEY DON'T NEED TO BE ON THE INSIDE

ALL THAT MEANS IS THEY TAKE AGES TO DEPLOY WHEN YOU GET IN A FIGHT FOR NO GOOD REASON INSTEAD OF CONTRIBUTING TO DEFENSE BY STICKING IN THE FLEET

Jesus christ I fuckinh hate everything Infinity stands far. It fails to do anything well from a logical standpoint and has no fucking reason to exist. REEEEEEEEEEEE

BUNGiE was doing this already with Covenant Supercarriers, which is what Infinity is anyway. It also operates in atmosphere as we've seen multiple times. If they were on the outside they'd be more suceptable to attacks and in the case of Halo 4 when the ship crashed, they and nonevent onboard would have been turned to pankakes.
The CSO is also ridiculously stupid.

That aside, your argument is stupid. If they were attached via docking clamps on the outside you'd just need to sever the connection by quickly disconnecting it. Even then, that's such a ridiculously specific scenario that would never happen in normal circumstances that it's still a bullshit explanation.
But how would they get the crew effeiciently into an external ship in case of an emergency?
Why would they be on the infinity in the first place?

I don't know or care much about any of this, but it seems to make sense. Big ship with big defenses can take a big beating. Smaller ships on the inside remain safe in the event of an attack until crew can board and get ready. Having them on the outside seems like it would make them highly vulnerable to missiles or bombing runs, as well as much more difficult and risky to board efficiently.
But their whole point is to be an escort fleet designed to defend the infinity, like how we have Carrier Escort Groups today. They're not doing anything while they're inside. Plus, if Infinity gets blown up (and boy, has it nearly been blown up before), they just go down as well.

If they're on the outside, or just escorting, they're contributing to point defense and decentralization of command. They're literally doing nothing like their intended role on the inside -if it were just a transport thing then I guess it would be okay but every time it's shown the fleet is deploying after engaging enemy forces. If one ship were to be destroyed, you've just clusterfucked your entire battlegroup because of the debris because they were unreasonably close together.
