If you're not doing hardcore mode in New Vegas you're playing the game wrong.
I can't stand Fallout NV hardcore, yet I enjoy Skyrim mods that I have to deal with getting wet, the cold, and hunger.
Probably because NV hardcore is still laughably easy. the only reasonable concern in it is managing your ammo and getting doctor's bags. But they aren't that much of a challenge. Especially when you use the adrenaline injector on Dead Money and it breaks the sleep meter so you don't have to sleep again.
I think it's more I find it annoying than I do fun or immersive. And like you said with broken things, I find you're just too weak and the enemies are too strong (talking about vanilla), and fast travel is just absolutely broken and annoying.
I presume by broken things, you mean limbs. Because weapon degradation is a good part of the experience. If you're finding the combat challenging, then either get some better gear, stop wandering into high-level areas or turn the difficulty down. I play on console too. How is fast travel broken? Aside from killing the immersion, it's entirely optional. In fact, some of my no-fast travel playthroughs have been some of my best ones because you really prioritise getting as many quests for one location so you don't have to go back there multiple times.

I'm guilty of the spelling mistakes thing only because my phone likes to correct 'the' to 'te' (And generally fuck up with autocorrect). Probably because I've spent a long time talking about the homeworld of the lekgolo in Halo.
When I make a post in serious and get bombarded with replies and I have no idea if they're saying I'm rightor wrong because they're pretty much talking another language.

Of course. I'm disappointed we've heard more or less no information concerning a hardcore mode in Fallout 4.
Bethesda caters to casuals
They still make great games
But they pretty much haven't acknowledged New Vegas exists since it was release. Aside from like, two items in Fallout Shelter. Which makes me sad.
Fallout 4 is still 10/10 goty every year though.
I mean I'm not saying the games are bad but they've always made their games laughably easy because most fans of Bethesda games want it that way.
Oh, yeah I'm glad we're getting XB1 mods though. someone is gonna do a hardcore mod pretty much guaranteed. It's kind of sad that Obsidian were restricted to Fallout 3's leftovers when making Vegas. If they'd had the dev time to make the full game from scratch rather than just doing what is essentially a fancy expansion for Fallout 3, we could have seen an even better game than we did.

Huh, what material did you use?
I bought the helmet, i could get the materials in a list for you. ...it wasnt done though, came in two parts so had to bolt it together and added my own padding.
Everything else is my work, the body armor is foam of course, would be too cumbersome overwise. Ill get a little list of what i did after work.
Where? I've been planning on doing a ranger cosplay for comic con next year.
Website called Etsy where a lot of people commission items of interest.....theres actually a lot there.
The store...or artists name is StandardArtWorks.
He was helpful and painted certain decals to my choosing.
How much did it cost?

I doubt it's happening.
Probably not. Which is a shame, because I really want something to do in a new playthrough before Fallout 4 but I've pretty much exhausted both games (And, by extension, Skyrim+DLC content - seriously) of new things to do.

I'm trying something out. Basically, I feel like doing a Fallout playthrough in the run-up to Fallout 4, but I've more or less 100%'ed both 3 and Vegas so I have little left to do in them.
So I thought it would be interesting to let Sep7agon decide how I do a playthough. If enough people show interest, I'll dig out my capture card and record it. But first it should be decided which game I do; Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas.
So yeah. Basically, once I've decided which game, I'll be taking suggestions for what my playstyle is (IE guns, explosives, melee, unarmed etc) and then after a session of playing, taking some direction as to what to do next. How to do certain quests and so forth. But in advance, I'm not doing a 'Kill everything' playthough, those are boring. I'll probably go for DiD as well.
So yeah, hopefully people find this an interesting idea.
(I'll be playing on 360 with all DLC content installed for both games, but obviously no mods, console commands or anything like that.)
I voted for hardcore NV, so I'll be removing one vote from that when I decide.

I came to the realization that I kinda dislike over-saturated lore in general. It makes some franchises so difficult to follow, and it creates these creepy know-it-all superfans that get livid if you get the tiniest detail wrong when talking about a movie or game. This is what happened with Star Wars, and it's happening with Halo, too.
Hurts, bruh. :( I thought we were friends. But I kind of see where you're coming from. It does make it hard to get into an established franchise, I suppose. Doesn't help when the books have some crucial setting-building that the games lack (Halo The Fall of Reach to Halo CE) but at the same time, they're useful tools for establishing new characters. Fireteam Osiris in H5, for example, have used a bunch of stuff in te past year; Nightfall (Live action web series), Hunters in the Dark (Novel), Escalation (Comics) have been used to introduce three members of the squad (Buck was already in another game) so that more time in game can be spent on the actual storyline. They did the same with Forward Unto Dawn (webseries) and Initiation (even though it was shit).
